4	Ex GF drunkenly told my best friend she was going to accuse me of rape. Pass Denied Instantly. I agree the story is questionable, but at many universities, including the one I am working on my PhD at right now, you can't submit your thesis unless you have a member of the faculty sign off on it as your supervisor. It's entirely possible that her supervisor was no longer willing to support her and that she was unable to convince anyone else in the department to take her on.
