Hosting And Entertaining MegathreadI just read about that one yesterday! I'll definitely be trying that too!! | /r/RedPillWives | 22/07/16 03:20 PM
Hosting And Entertaining MegathreadThose sound really cute! I'll have to investigate where I can get some, since if I made them myself they'd end up looking like a 5 year old's art work, lol! | /r/RedPillWives | 22/07/16 09:49 AM
Hosting And Entertaining MegathreadI'm definitely poaching your frozen berry idea next time! | /r/RedPillWives | 22/07/16 09:48 AM
Hosting And Entertaining MegathreadCanapes are super easy and quick to prepare and look really fancy if you're having guests over! You cut up white crustless bread in circles or squares, and put whatever you want on them! Salmon and cream cheese (or just butter) with a bit of dill or caviar on top is my favourite one. You could also do them with pesto sauce and half a cherry tomato on top; mashed avocado and salmon; plain butter and caviar; brie cheese and ham... the sky's the limit, really! For drinks, if it's summertime I love … | /r/RedPillWives | 20/07/16 12:41 PM
Looking for practical advice on how to stop being a control freakI'm sure you'll start seeing progress in no time :) Realizing your own flaws is already the hardest step in my opinion! | /r/RedPillWives | 18/07/16 07:07 PM
Looking for practical advice on how to stop being a control freakYou're welcome! If I'm about to lash out for something, I also find it helpful to think "is this the mountain I want to die on?". It really helps realize that most arguments are really just nitpicking about something unimportant. Why spend your time arguing about little things when you could be enjoying your time with your SO instead? Best of luck in the future! :) | /r/RedPillWives | 18/07/16 06:08 PM
Looking for practical advice on how to stop being a control freakI'd recommend reading this post. Also, I sometimes find it helpful to wait until the next day if I think of an argument I'm about to start. If it wasn't important I'll have forgotten all about it next morning, and if it really is an important issue I'll be calmer and be able to communicate what I want more clearly. Good luck! :) | /r/RedPillWives | 18/07/16 05:47 PM
"I like that you like girly things"Girly things are great! Legally Blonde was the reason I applied to law school, actually, so you can imagine I'm a big fan of anything pink and glittery. I don't understand all the hate lately towards this. It's natural for girls to like girly things. My niece is just seven years old and she's always asking me to paint her nails or to let her use my lipstick and blush. It's great that your boyfriend appreciates that. I think all men do, even if they don't say it out loud! Congrats on the marriage… | /r/RedPillWives | 18/07/16 12:01 AM

More bellydancer inspiration: JillinaThanks! :D I agree, you don't necessarily become a hideous hag once you hit a certain age. With a bit of work pretty much anyone can stay quite attractive! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 06:45 PM
More bellydancer inspiration: JillinaThank you for replying! :) Bellydancing is really fun, I wish more people gave it a try! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 12:43 PM
A heartwarming relationship story... the importance of tapping into the 'wife' and not just 'mom'Thank you! I had actually read the original post, so this update made me really happy for her! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 11:10 AM
A heartwarming relationship story... the importance of tapping into the 'wife' and not just 'mom'Definitely! I can't even imagine what people hope to achieve by farting in front of their SO. I'm not my boyfriend's "bro", I see no point in being gross in front of each other. | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 10:37 AM
A heartwarming relationship story... the importance of tapping into the 'wife' and not just 'mom'Heartwarming indeed! :) That's actually a really good reminder to not get complacent in our relationships. There's a Spanish saying that literally translates to "trust is disgusting" (although I think "familiarity breeds contempt" is the translation people use; it definitely sounds less harsh), which is used to describe relationships where people get so comfortable with each other they stop caring about their appearance, talk about disgusting subjects, fart in front of each other, etc. That is d… | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 10:11 AM
A heartwarming relationship story... the importance of tapping into the 'wife' and not just 'mom'It's gone :( Did anyone archive it or make a screenshot by any chance? Now I'm curious! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 09:47 AM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementThat could be hard to prove, though, and would most likely end up in a he said-she said confrontation and thus messier and longer divorce, unless you had solid proof and the wording of the clause was very firm on what counts as infidelity. Many people are using infidelity clauses, though, so OP could definitely consider that. I just personally am not a fan. However, every relationship is different, so I do acknowledge that it can work for some couples! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 09:17 AM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementHi! Sorry to butt in, but I just wanted to point out that your third option, although great in theory, is very risky and might not be enforceable or even get the whole prenup thrown out, depending on the judge and how the infidelity clause is worded. In Spain it would be completely disregarded, and in the US it would really be up to the judge's whims and what state you are in. | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 07:02 AM
Facing ConsequencesI love making breakfast for both of us every day! The way I see it, you're already starting the day doing something nice for your SO, and he definitely appreciates that. Why wouldn't you want every day to start off on a positive note? As for comments on his relatives' part, I think they're really just happy that he's in a good relationship, and these little gestures usually make them appreciate you. The last time I spoke to my boyfriend's mother she actually thanked me for taking such good care … | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 06:46 AM
Facing ConsequencesThis is a really helpful post! I think we've all received unsolicited "advice" at some point, and it can really bother me sometimes. I find that double standards are quite prevalent in these situations too. If your guy has a nice gesture towards you, everyone says "oh, I wish my boyfriend did that for me!", but if you are the one who did it those remarks change to "you don't have to do those things!" or "you're too good to him, he shouldn't expect you to do that!" Just to give an example, one of… | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 06:31 AM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementOh, definitely. The prenup is just there should the worst ever happen. Hopefully it will just end up collecting dust in a drawer forever (and I'm sure that's what will happen!). Nevertheless, if you were getting, say, a car insurance, you would also want it to protect both of you equally, not just one spouse in the hopes that he's the one who will end up crashing the car! Sorry for butting in on every comment, by the way, I just love civil law and was excited to finally see a post I could really… | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 06:01 AM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementI should probably add this for a bit of clarification! In Spanish marriages that have chosen the separate assets option, things like inheritances, winning the lottery, gifts, debts unrelated to household expenses, etc. are considered private assets too. I think that's completely fair. But then again, maybe I'm a bit biased towards Spanish law! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 05:46 AM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementYou're very welcome! I'm sure you'll be able to find a compromise with your husband that leaves both of you happy. Congratulations on the future wedding, by the way! | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 05:34 AM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementMy thoughts exactly! This 'cap' sounds really unfair and really gives the impression that in the event of a divorce OP will be the only one getting screwed over, even if the divorce were to be the husband's fault. | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 03:31 PM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementThat's why I was able to believe that her lawyer was so shocked when he read it. It sounds like a completely one-sided agreement that only protects one party, and that's not what a prenup should be. I agree that she definitely shouldn't sign it. Even if it probably won't hold up in court, I'd never sign a prenup in hopes that it won't be enforced by the judge later on. You never know what judge you'll be getting or what he might do. Plus, if OP signs a prenup she isn't 100% on board with, that w… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 03:20 PM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementI'm assuming based on OP's post that instead of saying she is entitled to 50% of marital assets, the prenup states something like that she is entitled to marital assets within a 20,000$ cap. It sounds strange to me too. | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 03:03 PM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementYou're very welcome! :) I forgot to add this, but if it is not possible to determine which spouse is the owner of something, it will also be considered a joint purchase. | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 01:38 PM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementNo worries! It's purchased jointly when it was purchased using funds from both spouses. Each spouse keeps their own account with the money they earned before the marriage, so if, say, a car was purchased using funds from both accounts, or if it was purchased using funds from the household account, it would be a joint purchase and divided equally in the divorce. As for how it is monitored, spouses must give the judge a written account of their assets and whether these were purchased privately or … | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 01:23 PM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementRegarding you getting emotional when discussing this with your future husband, don't worry, the same thing happens to me too sometimes! This might seem weird, but I find it helpful to write a list of every point I want to get across, and then say the arguments out loud to myself (in front of a mirror, in the shower, or wherever). If you have a script in your head, you'll probably be calmer when talking to him about this. Frozen_strawberry's idea of having a meeting with both of you and both lawy… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 01:11 PM
Advice/thoughts on signing a prenuptial agreementHi there! First time poster here, I actually finally created an account after months of lurking just to respond to your post. I'm a lawyer, and although my country's laws are really different from US ones (I'm Spanish), I work in the Spanish branch of a North American firm so I do have some knowledge on how US civil law works. I just graduated last year though, so I'm by no means an expert. Anyhow, Spain does not have prenup agreements. Instead, if couples want separate finances here they can ch… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 12:52 PM
