I will say it was incredibly, incredibly lonely in the early days because there are close to zero resources out there for stay at home dads with babies, and when my oldest was very young, a lot of moms would go out of their way to avoid me at playgrounds while I'd watch them trade contact info with other moms to hang out with their kids. It's especially frustrating as a very active, involved dad that everywhere I look the deadbeat or incompetent dad trope seems to be unavoidable.
