Sure. But everyone was- hence increasing in safety standards etc.

Everyone worked like dogs. Factory work wasn’t easy and OSHA standards were definitely lacking (Jungle anyone?). I wonder though if people just dealt with it. Clearly they did or we wouldn’t be here. Women certainly had a lot of work to do around a house, modern machines make life a lot easier for both sexes (hydraulic and power tools come to mind). I guess the question is, were SAHM happier than work woman are now? I have no idea. If I had to guess, they are happier and more depressed now in di…

Two income trap of modern society (caused by increase in workforce) has made being a SAHM just as difficult as 1950s society made being a working woman. The reality is, if a woman chose her husband wisely in the 1950s, she probably had great life and a sense of purpose with kids. If she chooses a good career now, she probably will feel fulfilled as well. Making the wrong choice in either era probably sucks.

Better attractiveness? Sure. But he is the President, so one could argue she did pretty good.

Who wants to have maintenance sex where the girl doesn’t enjoy it? If I’m fucking my wife, she enjoys it as much as I do. I don’t think wanting your wife/gf/whatever to not give you pity much of a standard.

Yeah of course lifting isn’t going to make you skinny. It’s going obviously diet. But I feel like getting stronger and feeling more powerful increases a mans confidence, which also translates to more women. Lifting isn’t a cure all but it helps I suppose skinny fat isn’t accurate. It’s more like skinny in clothes but soft and weak naked.

Of course being fit helps in attracting and maintaining the attraction of women. Do women care about physical attractiveness as much as men? No. But they definitely care- younger they are the more they do. Older you are, the less men actually keep themselves in shape. Of course there are other ways to be healthy. Sports is a great example. But most guys that excel at sports, go to the gym too. Their focus isn’t necessarily on physique as much as it is performance. CrossFit is a good example. But…

Skinny fat isn’t nearly as good as fit. Yes BMI is largely determined by diet- but getting a V shape (attractive) is a lot easier if you have muscle. Cardio and diet is a long game. It takes time but its usually easier to decrease fat then it is to put on muscle- at least after noob gains.

It’s definitely a good piece of advice. Women don’t exclusively fuck men because they are fit- but they get noticed by them. And if you’re social and exciting and fit you increase your chances. The other reason to lift and workout (other then the health benefits) is that it increases your own confidence.

She’s probably insecure; those girls in the porn are strong and independent women making a living. By her logic, they are old enough to vote, own property, have an abortion, join the military but not do porn? The only people I know of that put apps on phones are adults for their kids. Maybe he’s into it but most guys would leave.

I’m making the assumption that we are talking about LTR here. She found you sexy enough at one point to fuck you on the regular. So either you changed or she did. Trouble shoot that and figure it out. Advice for guys- don’t get fat. Don’t always agree with her. Put your foot down at times. Play with her head a bit. Smack her ass. Help her unhamster and give her a plan to follow (but be smart enough to make sure plan will work). Create mini spaces to make her feel sexy. And don’t get fat. Women f…

In my experience, if you keep a woman feeling like she is sexy and a sexual object, she will want to fuck. Being playful and a flirt goes along way. Choosing the time to make her feel sexy is important. Woman get inside their heads a lot and hamster about everything. They make lists and think about what’s for dinner. Children... the ultimate mood killer. If you can calm her down, subdue her worries and take her mind from mom to sexy wife object- legs tend to spread.

My feeling towards abortions is as follows: If you’re a member of my family or tribe, I will encourage you to have the child. Children are difficult and challenging but immensely rewarding. Abortion is definitely destroying a life. After having my own kids I really understand that idea. As a family we can figure out how to make it work. If you’re anyone else- have at it. Abort away. I don’t want to pay for your mistakes and quite frankly enjoy a much lower crime rate.

Sure but like I said it’s the village raising a kid thing. All women were probably like that then to a certain degree. I think we are talking past each other on this point On the point of society- your right in that society doesn’t dictate ones self worth. But it does dictate if you get that job offer, who you let your kids play with, how your friends treat you etc. Family isn’t the only social circle one runs in anymore. If I tattoo a dick on my face but everyone in my family thinks it amazing,…

It’s something sure. I want to have great sex with my wife. I want it to be kinky and adventurous. You also want a woman you can trust with your secrets and speak frankly with. Someone who cares for you and your kids. Who cooks and wants to take care of a family. Sex is usually why people get together but they stay together because they grow with each other. Sex is part of that evolution and it shouldn’t ever stop. But it isn’t the only thing that keeps a LTR together either.

I said on average. Yes there are some kinky, far sighted and forward thinking women that love casual sex. I’m not talking about bdsm and kinky sex play with your husband or LTR. I was saying that most women who have promiscuous sex with a lot of men tend to be on average more impulsive. That’s not even a bad thing- they are probably pretty happy most of the time. My point from the OP is that impulsiveness isn’t a great thing for long term pair bonding. Great for fucking quick in college but less…

There’s nothing wrong with raising your kids poly if that’s what you believe in. I am a huge believer that you can raise your kids the way you want to raise them. You do you- but understand that society at large tends to frown on it. You can raise your kids to believe in Santa Claus until they’re 25, but society is going to judge them. Hunter gathers live in semi small communities of which many are related. It’s the tribe that raises kids not just parents. Promiscuous women probably get societal…

She’s not a bad investment, if what you are investing in is quick sex and a fun time. If you have a poly lifestyle and she’s ok with it all the better. A few runs around the CC? Doesn’t matter as long as you get a turn. Hell, you can even bring some friends along for the ride The issue becomes is this the girl you want to marry and have kids with? Share financial risk with? Raise a little girl together? Kids don’t do what you say- they do what you do. I think men looking to wife a girl are inves…

Maybe I miscommunicated my point- don’t think one needs to argue that the intended reason for the creation of AFDC is to give some money to families with children right? Of course people will take the money- again not anything wrong with that either. The issue the guy bought up was that creating the right incentives can potentially change outcomes. Giving people money isn’t really a great incentive if their are work-a-rounds in the system. Veterans that’s are disabled is a great model for this- …

To plays devils advocate here, having more children to increase the amount of money one gets per month isn’t considered misuse. It’s actually the intending consequence. How much money one actually gets? It’s unlikely to truly incentivize someone to go have another kid. But people will gladly take the money once they do. Personally I care more about tax revenue going into failing/ terrible school districts then I do about welfare.

Guys vent about their wives just like women vent about their husbands. Some do it more, some do it less. I would wager the less someone complains about their wife, the happier the marriage. It doesn’t matter how attractive a woman is, if she’s annoying all guys will complain about her. Guys make comments to me about how my wife cooks for me and always makes sure I have food to bring into work. I rarely need to make anything when I’m there. Is that submission? Maybe... IMO it’s just a wife being …

I agree the manipulation doesn’t necessarily occur often but it’s involved. I don’t know of many women that will accept a guy working a dead end job and spending his free time playing videos games while she’s playing the bills. The only way a guy keeps a girl in that situation is if he convinces her (not an exhaustive list) 1. He’ll start tomorrow 2. He’ll start after he gets over his “anxiousness” 3. She won’t do any better then him.

My gut reaction was this was this sounds personal. However the more I thought about it, the more real life examples I could think of in my own life. I don’t think those men string Becky’s along waiting for a Stacy, I don’t think they care. Men that use their women to pay rent and clean up are looking for a mom not a relationship. Will they fuck Stacy is she magically appears? Sure but she isn’t. So these guys find a needy girl to “take care” of them. Most of the women that choose to stay in thos…

It took me years but I can now maintain current physique with relative ease. At my heaviest I was 250lbs and probably >30% BMI @ 5’11. I’m now 180lbs and 14% without much effort. Total lifestyle change. It takes time to do it right but once you start making progress it gets easier.

I will go against the grain here and say that while lifting heavy is important, lifting correctly is more so. So dial in your form with lighter weight and more reps then move on to a 5x5 or 5/3/1. Your lifts are good but I remember being 17 and my form was terrible. Relearning when you are older is tough. As for diet: I’m twice as old as you and my diet was shit when I was younger. I do a 16:8 IF and low carb and am decently lean.

I don’t think men care if a woman is slutty in terms of casual sex. Hell, I’m all for it- it’s less work I need to put into establishing a relationship. If I can charm her and sleep with her quick, she would definitely be kept in the phone rolodex. Where men move always from desiring the slut is for a LTR. Would you bring the stripper home for the holidays? Probably not but you’d definitely still bang her in the back seat. Women who sleep around easily are, well, easy. In terms of LTR, a man kno…

Do you have any positive male role models? Guys in RL that you can talk with? I don’t know your age and what not but I’ve learned a lot about how men interact from being around a lot of men. Guys at work? Older guys that’ve been married or dated awhile are usually good. I can’t comment on dating as I’ve been with my wife for awhile now, but women mostly want strong guys that can control their emotions. Try to work out- consistency over intensity. Good luck

Do something that challenges you. Something you don’t think you can do but want to try (ie Hike the AT or PCT). Lift hard because you don’t have injuries and can recover quick. Don’t waste time drinking. Make strong friendships with other men because it’s harder when your older. You’re young and have a lot of time to devote to training towards something, whatever that something may be. The habits you develop now will be the ones you have for most of your life.

There’s a lot of truth to RP philosophy when it comes to masculine emotions. How men so affection to other men and how they show affection to women are completely different. What women don’t want is insecurity in their men. They want to see that a man can handle stress. That he is more emotionally controlled then she is. That he can logically figure out a solution to some problem she’s having. She wants someone to look up too. Someone that other men and women admire. She wants to hear about your…

No doubt. As they should. But they have a vested interested in provisions and protection. Women will respect and care for those that take care of her and her children.

I think men feel their purpose in life is providing and protection (as it has been for thousands of years). This is directly translated to the feeling of wanting to sacrifice themselves for others for the other persons benefit (aka love). Of course men do this for women. They do it for other men in war, in fire and PD depts all over the world. He’d do it for his kids. Women love but it’s different. It’s less about women placing themselves in harms way and more about caring for a man on a daily b…

Is it usually a strength and conditioning issue? I assume in primary male jobs (fire, pd, linemen etc) where strength is a requirement of the job, women will usually be at a disadvantage to men. That’s the case in mine. Not that woman can’t be fine firemen, it’s just they would have to be unusually strong or large to do it to the same level that most men with little effort can. Same with a male midwife. Could a guy do that job? Sure. Would he be accepted at as easily as a woman? Probably not.

Well thought out response. I want to reply with a perspective on how a man might see your points. Maybe there is some middle ground. On various forms of contraception: I am probably in the minority of men that understand female reproduction and corresponding A&P pretty well. Sex is both a mental and physical act, but for men (and most women) it’s primarily a physical act. Anything that decreases the intensity of said act can be viewed in a negative way. Hence the push back from men with condoms.…

I am not saying a husband should have to there for the delivery if he’s not comfortable. I’ve seen people pass out from the sight of blood or any sort of trauma. But if you wife wants you there, it my opinion that a husband should make his wife feel secure and protected. Bottom line though is the couple should have a discussion about wishes/feeling etc before walking into L&D.

I think affairs in the aftermath of births have more to do with the change of dynamics between husband and wife that result from child rearing (lack of time, increased stress, lack of sleep, loss of freedom) and less to do with witnessing a birth. And as for the OP question: I was present with my wife during labor and birth. It was agreed that I would be the only one in the room with her. I keep her calm and reassure her- I also have a decent amount of medical training and have delivered childre…

People are grown adults and can make their own big boy decisions. I agree that alcohol is a terrible vice and distraction but do I really care if someone else is too shortsighted to manage risk appropriately? Bars are fun places if you can act like an adult. If you can’t so be it.

Are you asking for the benefits of being with a man besides the obvious economic incentives? The most obvious that comes to mind is child rearing. Splitting of costs, labor, and time. Children can consume a single parents life; two makes life much easier. Another would be the division of labor and skill sets throughout ones life. A man can allow you to concentrate on whatever household or life skillsets you want to pursue while still maintaining a comfortable home and career. I can cook- my wife…

Winning definitely gets you respect so long as you did it honorably. Otherwise you are seen as dishonest and untrustworthy. That may work for single conflicts but multiple repeat games, you will loose. Honor is a universal value held by men (among several values and characteristics). Respect is earned because men value your abilities as a man- you know what you say you know, you can pull your own weight, you do what you say you will do, and you have principles. I definitely agree that Asian men …

I am going to second that idea. If you’re not enjoying having this much sex now you certainly aren’t going to later on as his wife. Sex frequency decreases in marriage and needs to be planned when children become involved.

Being physically fit will gain you respect from men and attention from women. Men always respect physical strength in other men. We admire it and recognize it’s usefulness. There’s a reason a lot of our leaders tend to be in shape men over 6ft. Strong confident men are easy to follow. For women I reckon it’s much the same. Women tend to be attracted to the people other men respect. Strength means protection and ability to provide. Strength and fitness means you are disciplined and consistent. It…

No i put the comment out there so I don’t mind the question. My wife and I have somewhat of a D/s relationship (I’d suggest googling it if unknown).
