Not at all. If you go into dating with the idea that I want to meet new people and wherever it goes it goes, you will not get too attached or become disappointed when someone isn't mutually attracted to you. But go explore. Dating is fun and meeting new people is fun and having new experiences is what life is really about. Go thrive!

I think your mentality is wrong and it would probably be wise to work on yourself a bit before dating. When you can learn that happiness comes from the self then you'll become naturally more attractive. You'll not care what your small town thinks of a guy in his late twenties getting back out there and dating. Theres nothing wrong with it nor should you feel self conscious about it. Well you have a few options. You can either try online dating or join clubs that will expand your social network. Also keep an open mind. I thought I knew what type of women I liked but it turns out I like many different types. Hard to know without going on some dates. I retained 110k of equity, all of the furniture and my 2.375 mortgage for 1300 bucks, and Im having a wild time as a single secure man in his 30s. Im very grateful all she wanted was the dog. No kids either. I hit the reset button and she made it easy. Even though she cheated Ive forgiven her and man life is great.

My Wife of 5 years and best friend of 12 cheated on me with a Lesbian and is now fully Lesbian apparently. Im grateful we didnt have children but you should be grateful for the beautiful Children who will need their father. Im 2 months removed and the last few days have been the best days Ive had since I found out. My success has come from deep introspection and self care. I read a book called "Cant Hurt Me" by David Goggins. It got me to sign up for a marathon and just improve myself in my day …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
