Since it is always important to never get oneself down after making mistakes on the road of self improvement, I believe the following three quotes are insightful: "A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at." - Bruce Lee "Remember, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday." - Dale Carnegie "Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; but if a thing is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach." - Marcus…

I'm also fairly insensitive when it comes to things like suicide I am as well. I fact, I'll shoot the bastard myself if I'm standing next to an unmarked grave in the middle of the desert. That being said, a disproportionately high suicide rate is indicative of problems that ought to be rectified (especially if the solution is easy like getting soldiers the PTSD treatment they need). Also, if that instinct is so strong, why are they committing suicide? Just a thought. This is why I don't feel sor…

There was nothing in your response that would suggest that you weren't directing those statements at me. I copied and pasted that line from a post directed at OP. Hence it wasn't directed at you. doesn't understand other people I didn't say that. I will respond in full tomorrow. I just wanted to say that I didn't explicitly say that you were a "INTJ aspy nerd" and I'm sorry you interpreted it that way. It actually describes me and if it's an insult to you then what does that make me? My point is that it's very important to understand the kinds of people that inhabit reddit and the greater blogosphere and realize there are more kinds than just them.

My statements are not about RP men as a whole, but a specific subset of men that are part of the RP community who are engaging in the behaviour that I have described. Except everyone does this. Rollo, heartiste, sosuave, everyone in the manosphere does this. They all demonize female nature so men stop acting stupid like their GF is somehow exempt from what they're saying. It's less about training men to become misogynists, which I agree, some other boards seem to be doing that. But don't forget …

Everything is replenishable (money, emotions), and men are generally better for the difficulties they have to overcome. Some men do. Others become misogynists on boards that shall not be named. Others still commit suicide. My main problem comes from this statement a few posts back: There is zero similarity between "denying someone sex by friend-zoning them" and "actively lying to a woman, promising commitment to screw her and then leaving." There are more actions that just words. In fact, non-ve…

What I am annoyed at is when people who comment on various RP discussion forums speak about female behaviour and nature as if every single choice that a woman makes is made with full knowledge of everyone's motivations, the consequences for her, and the consequences for others. Wrong, they think of women as "black boxes" that need to be figured out. It doesn't matter where the thoughts and actions originate from, they're just observing effects to a given cause. It doesn't matter if it's female n…

That's why I clarified it by saying "instinctual calculation." That should have made it clear.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 02:17 AM
1

Ok, I'm not going to play semantic word games. To calculate something is for some part of the brain to choose an action based on some data. Where this takes place determines whether this is conscious or subconscious.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 01:55 AM
1

You didn't actually answer my question: Do men ever suffer under breach of contract in relationship matters? You seem to imply that everything men lose is replenishable. Unfortunately, male suicide figures (which peak in the teens (mostly due to relationship going south) as well as the 40's (divorce)) completely contradict that assertion. And if a man's promise of exclusivity is supposed to be so iron clad, why is marriage that important? The reason is that it /isn't/ that strong of a contract, …
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 01:48 AM
1

I agree, sex is sacrosanct for women. But what about for men? Is any that important for men? You seem to be implying that there isn't.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 01:15 AM
1

Human nature is inherently evil and self serving. What you're annoyed at is that some people say "women" when they mean "humans." My point is that cause and effect don't apply to just conscious acts. If a woman consciously manipulates a man to kill himself, that's the same effect as if she unconsciously does it. I don't care whether it's a result of conscious processes or not. The material effect and damage are the same.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 01:01 AM
1

No, they just unintentionally harm men via subconscious, instinctual calculations. You seem to only use the word "calculate" to mean "conscious calculation" and I'm using it to refer to both.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 12:44 AM
1

Well it depends on the woman, I think. A virgin that was just alpha-widowed would likely be suicidal. The flipside would be your standard (virginal) nice guy getting the emotional dumpings from a girl he's been pining for for a year or longer, then dumps him. There's a reason why so many young men commit suicide.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 12:38 AM
1

calculated choice to be evil at the expense of others. Not at the conscious level, but at the subconscious level. Shit testing occurs at the subconscious level and this sub teaches women how to consciously overcome it. This is why it's called female nature.
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 12:27 AM
1

Yes, people manipulate each other - that doesn't make it right. Women should not behave that way. It's still not the same thing. Men can get more money, and the suggestion of physical favor is not the same as blatantly and explicitly saying "we are in a relationship, I'm exclusive to you" followed by sleeping with the woman and then cheating on her with other women. Yes, but I must point out that for some men, especially those likely to get "friend-zoned," the emotional turmoil can be quite seve…
/r/RedPillWives16/04/16 12:16 AM

Right, my point is that it exacerbates it. What are emotions but hormones of a different nature? And what is mass hysteria but playing to emotions on a mass level?
/r/RedPillWives15/04/16 11:01 PM
1

Lying about exclusivity is not the same as lying about potential exclusivity. Actively lying about exclusivity in order to get sex is roughly about the same as using sex to get married. Both are pretty horrendous.

This actually reminds me of a rather sneaky way progressive politics have backfired on their loudest proponents. If you're a woman or minority and make it in the industry several years without taking advantage of your progressive perks, that actually makes you more valuable than your bulk standard straight white male.

I didn't bring up the HBD-sphere since there's an awful lot there, but hbdchick, jayman, pumpkin person, khan's, hsu's, and cochran's blogs are some of my favorites. Every religion has a two things: a creation myth and rituals. Democracy serves both, if only in a superficial sense. That's the thing with democracy: it like a secular religion of sorts and I'm not the only person to make this connection either. It seems like your the kind of woman that might appreciate some of the blogs I compiled in this list. I hope you find them as thought provoking as I do!

The power of religion is to form high-trust societies, arguably why they form in the first place. Progressivism functions just like a religion, complete with priests (journalist/newsanchors) and moral lecturing. But the worst has to come from heretics like the Pope, which might as well be a communist because I can't really tell the difference. If I were a Christian, I'd certainly consider becoming a sedevacantist. As for blogs, here are some of the ones I've found good enough to read to completi…

You said that under a patriarchy, you'd have to answer to all men. I'm saying that under even a predominately male organization, you don't answer to all of them, only to those that have a stake in your success. Under a an actual patriarchy (Saudi Arabia doesn't count), women have to act just like men in order to gain power (not everyone woman is a Thatcher). This is why women ostensibly don't like patriarchal societies. Problem is feminists have women acting like men by day and women by night, a…

Your disagreement hinges on a different definition of masculine than what the author is perhaps using. Masculine matters are a subset of all matters, and a good time to be "helpless" would be when your SO is getting physical with someone. That's so awesome! You're absolutely right, it's theorized that her husband gave her syphilis, although la wik is scant on details. Regarding the Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine, here are some issues from 1853-1864 and one issue from 1866.

Yep, highly recommended. It's been mentioned here many many times and the only notable downside is that it's old. "Whatever!", I say!

I wasn't able to track down a PDF of this article, but here is a similar article by the same authors done a few years back. They seem to come to similar conclusions, which leads me to wonder what they did different in this paper (or is this publish and perish in action)? Too bad there isn't a preprint archive like arxiv for the humanities.

Hehe. So true and the same can be applied to the greater MRA movement. Eliminating suffrage would frankly be easier and more productive.

Margaret MacLennan's "CRY PRETTY GET PITY - Makeup for Breakups!". EDIT: This is satire, but still pretty accurate.

The only other story I've read of his was "The Ransom of Red Chief," which definitely doesn't fit in that genre (although it was hilarious). Which other one do, may I ask?

One of my favorite stories (it makes me cry every time) is "The Gift Of The Magi" and it really speaks to selflessness and giving up that which you treasure most purely for the sake of getting something the person you love will cherish. It's so beautiful, and I really should sit down at some point and write a thread about it. Yes, you absolutely should. It's a wonderful story! I think my first encounter with that story was some Mickey Mouse christmas retelling, although I can't recall it at the …

I'm sure it isn't. I can only compare it to triple majoring + honors + 30hr/week job. I had a fair amount of money then, and given the number of tech gadgets everyone has these days, it's hard to muster sympathy for their plight.

Yeah, that's definitely a safe route to go. I just find it hard to believe that two months, even as a broke med student, wouldn't buy a decent rock, especially if you're cutting lunch to do it.
/r/RedPillWives09/04/16 03:31 AM

Yes, this is all true. What I'm saying is this article screams "I MARRIED BETA BUX AND SERVING HIM SUCKS" and because of it, everything she does is a sacrifice. There's no mystery here.
/r/RedPillWives09/04/16 03:29 AM

But bologna sandwiches? So a counselor can get married to a doctor? Any size rock is too much. And what a bad example to lead with, giving an example of what he sacrificed to her. I still think there's a bit of sacrifice women in getting married, although I agree the man's sacrifice is greater.
/r/RedPillWives09/04/16 02:56 AM

I really don't understand why giving and sacrificing are actions that lead to such negative conclusions on the author's part. It's a very odd experience, to read words that I agree with in so many ways - but then have them soured by all of her very negative take aways. Because the author isn't in love. Ta-da! I predict < 5 years.
/r/RedPillWives09/04/16 02:27 AM
3

Wow, that article was crap. But I don't entirely agree with your assessment. I agree with you that what the author calls a "sacrifice" isn't really a sacrifice at all. All of the actions the author listed should be easily performed with little to no pain whatsoever in a healthy relationship. A real sacrifice would have been the author not needing a ginormous rock from a broke med student. That being said, sacrifices definitely occur even within RP relationships. In fact, RP relationships are by …

I agree mostly, especially given the number of times I've read about PUA's not having to put any effort into making the woman orgasm. Heck some of them outright recommend not pleasing the woman in any way because it selects for a woman that will always come back. I only disagree because I don't think attention-seeking can really turn a low libido woman into a high libido one. It's funny that you mention Don Draper's sex life because it's completely indicative of how broken his life really is.
/r/RedPillWives08/04/16 04:36 PM

Given what I've read, it's more like somewhat broken women become promiscuous which starts the negative feedback loop and breaks them further. I agree with the second sentence in the last paragraph, though.
