If you’re a man on dating subreddits it’s not over. It never began.

This post comes off as written by a misandrist who has had their perception of dating warped by dating apps or social media. First, it’s wrong because the average woman in the West isn’t being incessantly hit on by thirsty men accosting her like a pack of dogs following the butcher (or like those videos of blonde women in India). Second, it’s wrong because it presumes that the majority of men are solely seeking sex without a relationship. Yes the vast majority of single men are probably open to …

There’s no hive mind preventing you from earning a good wage either. You’ve just failed to cultivate or possess the skills valued by the market, just as single men have failed to cultivate or possess the qualities women find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 01:38 PM

Women actively approach men they find attractive. Evidently that category does not include you.

Ordered some inositol off Amazon because someone in a Reddit comment said it suppresses appetite. Men consume porn because they get no pussy, not the reverse. it’s not like your average jerk off is passing on hordes of horny women to whack it. You’re getting causation backwards and it’s part of the insuffable just world fallacy of people telling men that their private thoughts, sentiments, or habits are the true reason they’re not getting laid. Men in the bottom half of men are struggling to get women because the bottom half of women have access to better options, would rather stay single, o…

Poverty isnt decreasing due to birth rates. The places with the highest poverty have the highest birth rates. Extreme poverty is decreasing because economic conditions are improving in the poorest parts of the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/23 07:53 PM

I didn’t mention “economic problems” the Africans and Asians aren’t moving to Europe because they’re poorer than their parents and grandparents. They’re moving because they want the lifestyle they can see from the videos on their cell phones.

The number of people living in extreme poverty has decreased in absolute numbers every year since the 1960s. In terms of a percent of global population, that proportion has never been lower in human history. Humanity is doing just fine.

The central factor driving migration to the U.S. and Europe is economic. Africa probably has the highest degree of food security it’s ever had in human history. Global warming immigration is just a meme to make replacement level migration to western countries more tolerable to liberals.

it’s pretty clear that liberalism + higher living standards will crater a country’s birthrate far below replacement level. Short of some sort of conservative revolution the likes of which hasn’t been seen since 1936 Spain, population decline is here to stay. I think the East Asian countries have the resources and governance sufficient to manage their countries demographic shifts. Europe and the U.S. will just import immigrants to break even. I spent a God awful amount of time on computer games in high school. But that was a product of not having a relationship to fill my time with not a cause. I would have much rather spent my time going on cute dates than planing 1,000 hours of Civilization, but none of the girls I asked out those days were interested. And it’s not because I was some wastoid on the computer screen, I still had time to do track, cross county, and take AP classes.

(M)26 Beyond my own frustration with being single, there’s the anxiety that at the same time my eventual partner is out there getting her back broke through hookups or serial monogamy. Likely I’ll be the safe option she settles for, but that will generate resentment on her part about now not being able to get the guys she was with to settle. I think that’s part of all these dead bedrooms and the stereotype backed up by data that sexual activity craters during marriage. So it’s almost a double fr…

Not really, I’ve had great conversations with women on the apps… when I’m one of her most attractive options (maybe for 5% of matches) When I’m not I get nothing, not even polite low effort comments and I can that’s because she’s talking to her top options (and she knows exactly who they are)
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 11:54 PM

too much attention which makes prevents them from making rational choices By the same line of argument your brain should explode every time you walk in to the grocery store. Women use dating apps for validation or just go with their most attractive options, filtering be damned, hence why most men’s likes and comments get sent to purgatory. Agree with everything else in your comment though.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 11:37 PM

Women are overwhelmed by their options only to the extent they allow themselves to be. If they wanted to get serious about dating they could actually use the filters on the apps, use basic conversations to screen matches, or hit pause at their leisure. But they won’t because they’re not serious about dating and would rather use the match counter for validation. The argument that a ton of options in dating sucks is a load of shit. By the same reasoning I should stop going to the grocery store and…

When I think of status I think of career and money. I make $200k as an attorney at 26. Short of being some sort of local celeb, I think that’s a bout as solid on status as it gets at my age. IMO for women 18-25 looks is king. In my experience, money and a good career isn’t enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:19 AM

Except it’s more like women are shopping in a grocery store, not trapped in some swamp. Average women can line up dates with decent dudes from OLD at their leisure, and order dick like doordash if that’s what their going for.

a man that is just trying to have sex with her Most young women are ok with this if he’s hot enough. Maybe they’d prefer if he’d commit but it’s not necessarily a turn off, and regardless it’s an option the vast majority of men don’t have. lazy or no ambition Describes the majority of women on online dating. Doesn’t stop them from getting thousands of likes.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/23 09:52 PM
47

It’s an attempt at obfuscation. Just call it what it is, women have thousands of options from online dating- good and bad they can funnel in to a more limited number to go on dates with. Men might get dozens? of matches, again good and bad, but there’s a lot less funneling they can do purely because of the numbers they are working with and even then those women they have matched with likely have hundreds or thousands of options.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/23 09:49 PM

On Hinge which has a reputation as more relationship focused than Tinder, you have the option of putting whether you want an LTR or short term. Maybe 15% of women 20-25 put they want long term. So they either want short term or don’t want to scare away the Chads looking for a quick fling. The idea that young women don’t seek out or can’t enjoy casual sex is a blue pill coping mechanism.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/23 04:24 PM
9

There’s second more insidious part to it where since the sexual revolution women can spend their 20s getting dicked down by high tier men (but who she can’t get to commit), when those women do decide to settle down with the safe option, they’re resentful their husband doesn’t match up to what their used to, hence the proliferation of debedrooms, high divorce rates, and all the negative stereotypes about marriage.

I don’t feel entitled to romance or intimacy, but I think the principle that people should be accountable for their romantic choices and situation should be consistently applied. Do you ask why do single mothers feel entitled to tax my hard-earned paycheck to support their broods after they chose shitty men to reproduce with?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 06:58 PM

I can’t be happy without a solid romantic life. I’ve got a great career making 200k in my mid 20s, but it just seems pathetic when that means nothing to women in their early-mid 20s. I don’t want to be the safe option she settles with after having her fun and sleeping around, but that seems like what I’m doomed to.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 06:26 PM

These apps are designed to keep you out of a relationship and miserable This is a coping mechanism for not being attractive enough to be successful on the apps. The apps work fine if you’re in the top 5-10% of men. The devs don’t make tinder shit, it’s the garbage ratio of men to women. Old tinder was great because it had a better ratio and having a man reach out online was a novel experience for many women. Now that women deluged with positive and negative attention, the novelty has worn off and many don’t stick around on the apps. Also the algorithm is roughly based of the ratio of your swipes to matches, there’s all sort of recent tinder experiments of attractive guys killing it still. If you’re struggl…

Stop being such a goddamn coomer. Us men can get off without porn or prostitutes. Both inevitably result in the exploitation of a large portion of the women sucked into the world, usually due to some combination of economic circumstances, drugs, or abusive relationships. A sane government would ban both porn production and prostitution. There was never a good ole days of prostitution, it’s always been driven by trafficking, abuse, and exploitation.

A lot of older people I encounter have barely any idea what modern dating is like. I’m asked by older family members about my dating life with some regularity and I’m sure thanksgiving will be no exception. I believe single men would be seen by their family, friends, and themselves as less of a failure and with less stigma if it was more broadly acknowledged that women get thousands of matches on these apps and can get dates at their leisure, where many men might be lucky to get one date a month…

55% of heterosexual couples met online in 2021, and that percentage has exploded these past 10 years. https://web.stanford.edu/~mrosenfe/ You can’t talk about the change in dating without talking about online experience, and the fact that a woman can hop on the apps any time and get thousands of likes affects offline dating too.

I was responding with a theoretical solution to the dating market imbalance in the West. Personally, I think it’s a tragedy that Ukrainian men are dying for Zeelynsskkyyy while their girlfriends and daughters are getting dicked down by Dutchmen and Pollacks on tinder. Ukraine should let Russia have the disputed Russian majority provinces and end this stupid war.

Low status men get hit with accusations all the time. It’s a risk you take as a modern man. At least famous men like Johnny Depp are popular and rich enough to marshal the cash and lawyers necessary to defend themselves. Women will sleep with famous (not necessarily high status men) regardless of there looks (Pete Davidson being a prime example.

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2018/09/24/stay-at-home-moms-and-dads-account-for-about-one-in-five-u-s-parents/ One in five moms are stay at home moms. The problem with saying 5 years of SAHP should earn 5 years of alimony is that, even 20 years down the line, you’ll be earning less in your current position, at least in white collar professions, because you’ll have less experience. Not to mention retirement benefits that would have otherwise been earned. Marriage is meant to be a lifetime commitment, if a long term breaks down, especially where children are concerned, it’s not unjust that there might be lifetime financial consequences.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 11:04 PM

25%+ of mothers are stay at home mothers. That’s before you count the women who chose jobs where they can work remotely or part time for the sake of their children. Those women just seem rare because they aren’t represented in media or the latest Netflix girlboss special.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 11:00 PM

And all those are factors the Court has to consider. What this bill does is remove permanent alimony from being possibly granted by the Court, even if the Court considers that to be the just outcome.

Hope your husband doesn’t dump you because he decides he wants to bang his secretary I guess? And don’t say it couldn’t happen to you, because no one ever thinks things like that can happen to them. Practically, eliminating alimony would force a whole lot of women who would want to be stay at home moms to spend their days making PowerPoints and sending emails for some shitty Fortune 500 company. I value motherhood and hate fake office work too much to see that as a positive outcome.

What about a husband and wife who agree that the wife should stay home with the kids and the husband should focus on his career, but divorce after a decade or two of marriage?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 08:46 PM

I think permanent alimony may be perfectly appropriate in certain situations. If a woman sacrifices her prime earning years from 25 to 45 to raise four children as a stay at home mom, her earning potential will be affected for the rest of her life. Even 20 years later at 65 she’d be making a salary commensurate with an individual who has 20 years of experience versus 40. This bill discourages women (and to a lesser extent men) from sacrificing their careers to stay home and raise their children.…

More likely the economic pressure just forces young people to live longer with their parents and with roommates. There wasn’t a marriage boom in 2008 after everyone got shitcanned, and AI putting latte sipping copywriters out of work won’t turn them into housewives for HVAC guys. Among native born Americans and Europeans economic uncertainty seems to cripple family formation and a desire to have children. Starts with a C and rhymes with Pope.

My thought as a mid-20s guy pursuing women in their early 20s is that women in their 20s seem to be increasingly bitter towards men. In my experience a younger woman comes has less baggage. Fewer boyfriends, less likely to be resentful for getting pumped and dumped a dozen times. Less likely to be on edge from a past relationship she considers verbally or physically abusive or “manipulative.” With men there’s also similar factors at play and I’m sure a whole other set of problems.
