Thank you for the understanding reply. It's awesome that someone understands how bad narcissistic parents are. I'm moving out in about 2 months (going to a university that's very far away), so I won't ever have to talk to them again, however I don't know what to do in the meantime while I have these 2 months. I just lift and watch self-help videos on charisma and stuff like that. Due to the abuse, I didn't have a good time in high school and people thought I was a loser, so I don't want that to …

Yeah, it's a victim mentality thing I do really often that prevents me from actually improving in life. Thank you for the advice.

Wow, thank you for this information! Never knew caffeine contributed to anxiety as well. I'm a huge tea and coffee drinker. I'll definitely start with CBT since I've heard good things about it. Thanks man.

I understand it might seem like I'm blaming them in this post, and to be honest, I blame them often in my head, but I've already taken responsibility. I lift regularly (3 times a week, for 2 months now), and I meditate for self-love every single day and I still notice that I'm a slow guy. I don't know if I need a specific book to help me or something of that nature.

It's not regular guy shit, it's not the typical fag/gay/etc, it's more like... absolutely nobody likes you, you're a complete piece of shit, like really hard-hitting stuff like that. It's not regular guy banter. I would 100% know if it's typical guy shit because it happens pretty often with me.

Ah, I get it now! I'll focus on building frame with the sidebar material and meditation, which I heard is pretty good for frame-building purposes. Thank you for the insights.

Maybe my way of thinking is ignorant but I'm worried that saying dismissive things like that will make me seem like a bitch. My logic is that if that's how I react then I'm like the punching bag of the group and everyone can get a turn if they like since nothing is going to happen.

I'm 18, and yeah I live with my parents. I have no idea what to do other than lift. I realize I'm going to university in 2 months and things will be different since there's no narcissistic parents. However, a lot of the issues I deal with are rooted deep inside and it's hard for me to pretend everything's okay. People always ask me things like "Are you depressed?" and "Are you tired?" because I've been through a lot of shit, and I can't fake happiness or putting on a smile all day.

I just finished high school, so there's that :). But..., but I've been going to the gym for officially just over a month, which in my opinion is a good achievement. I also started looking after my diet and I've been hitting the core fundamentals for muscle growth (caloric surplus, correct amount of protein, etc...). Started looking after my body language too. I walk with my chest out more, and I keep my head up a lot. I used to always walk with my head down the whole time which made me seem like…

This blog (http://www.wtfprofessor.com/blog/), has some really good stuff. The guy who writes the blog posts is an engineer as well, so I think it'll be well suited for you. Hope it helps.

I'm a very low-key type person and avoid standing out. Have big confidence and self-esteem issues, which leads to shyness. My shyness is really bad, whereas for some other people it's just a small phase.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
