Relevant to this topic... I've known women who got cheated and their husbands chose women as young as 18. When the women in question started suspecting that their husbands might have an affair with the live-in nanny or secretary, these men ALWAYS gave a variation of the same response: Pfft, nah she is a child. She is too young and immature."

People lie even to themselves. It's impossible to be objective. Men love to believe they're taller, smarter, and more competent than what they really are. A therapist told me that men will cheat on their wives and be in denial about cheating, like they tell themselves that they haven't actually cheated because it was something mechanical and devoid of emotional attachment.

The other person is not debating in bad faith. They went to a trashy community college and the professors there taught him that if you throw around "it's a big generalization" you appear smart. Truth is you can and you should generalize because there are patterns of sexual attraction.

I completely agree with you. Of course, men are gonna downvote you and lie and say they can be satisfied with one woman only.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:56 AM

if you warn these women, they will get mad at you

You are right. I didn't think about OF.

This is amazingly well put. Unbelievable. You pinned it down so well. When there is no sexual or romantic attraction, you c an see through lies. Totally true. Tons of women fall for the romance scams. There are documentaries of women going to Africa and marrying guys believing they had found the soulmate. This is what desperation and sexual starvation do to a person.

I'm a woman, and I'm on the spectrum. I was incredibly naive. Now I'm very suspicious. And I wish i were even more suspicious.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 07:38 AM

How can you ask such a naive question? You know how many people are in relationships with people they don't like?

In your dreams. What kind of 21-year-old woman would want to hook up with a 38-year-old man? You're lying. Come on.

You couldn't be more wrong. Older guys are unattractive. You've been fed a lie that men age like fine wine.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 07:34 AM

I agree with you. The real problem is that old men are incredibly detached from reality. Part of it is the lie that they age like fine wine, and they genuinely believe that women will be attracted to their decrepit bodies and erectile dysfunction. I've never ever been attracted to a man more than 5 or 6 years older than me. For me, a man who is 35 is already too old. He might be a good person, but I just don't feel genuine attraction. Plenty of women end up with old farts and I envy them because…

I can say the same about myself. I was incredibly stupid, almost r*tarded, but then I became exceptional at reading people because I had to do it to survive. But it was a compensatory mechanism. I'm sure we are good, but it is always better to assume that we are not immune to scam. Believing that we can be scammed, no matter how cynical we are, helps us keep our guard up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 07:30 AM

That is not a blanket statement. That is not how statistics and probability work. There are definitely patterns and co-occurrences. As someone who has interacted with people from different backgrounds, I've noticed this pattern that the ones who claim to see through BS sooner or later fall for the scam.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 07:25 AM

They are not naive. They are desperate and they have a need. But when push comes to shove, if these men were given a chance by the women they fawn over, they would lose attraction towards them, because it's easy to idealize what you can't have. I agree with the betabuxxers, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 07:24 AM

We don't know what we don't know. You might have not been scammed in the literal sense, but people might have lied to you multiple times, even small lies, and you might have not realized it because you believe you're incredibly good at reading people. Just an example, I'm not attacking you. As someone on the spectrum, I agree with you on the autism comment.

No argument there. Yes, men need sex way more than women. Alas, you're right. Ignoring red flags in a person you're extremely attracted to is natural. They key is to recognize that we have this flaw and act accordingly. Every time I interact with a guy I'm very attracted to (which is rare, as I find myself not attracted to most men), I have to remind myself that there will always be a catch.

Yes, you're right, men and women can be equally gullible. The common denominator, though, is having a need. Whenever you have a need, you're vulnerable. The need for companionship or sex blinds people. The need for a job makes people victims to scams. When you say that both ignore red flags, you're right, but they ignore red flags when they are desperate and/or they truly like the other person. When you're not truly attracted to the other person, you're more likely to spot red flags. It's so bac…

I understand, but I've interacted with countless of people who brag about being able to see through bullshit and yet, sooner or later, they ALWAYS fall for some type of scam, especially a romantic scam. There are people who avoid scammers and manipulators, but my beef is with people (women especially) who claim to be cunning and that they won't fall for lies.

This applies to men towards women too. A man who isn't invested in a woman is just using her as a placeholder or cumdumpster.

There are different degrees of settling. This is a disingenuous argument.

It happens even before sex. Plenty of women who are not attractive or are older get rejected every single day, yes, even for sex. People don't want to talk about it. I've seen so many cases of women throwing themselves at men for sex and being rejected.

You are brain-dead. Seriously. There are tons of women who are "happily married to faithful husbands" and yet they get STDs. And once these women get STDs, they engage in mental gymnastics, like they caught it in a public restroom, anything to refuse believing that it is their "faithful husbands" spreading them. You're sickening. You are exactly what is wrong with women that stay in denial.

Because there are security cameras today, even in motels, so it is not far-fetched. Women might hire private investigators, get all the evidence, and still refuse to believe it. You have been living under a rock.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 11:46 PM
2

You are proving my point. This is why they are naive. If she chooses to stay with him and believe that he is faithful, in spite of the evidence, she is naive. Do you understand that? Hon? I don't give a fuck what you think I am, whether man, woman, or alien, I've seen enough and women have their heads up their asses. And you don't get to tell me whether I should stay out of their business or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 11:45 PM

Yes, that is unfortunately true. I also think that the belief in soulmates, twin flames, fairy tales, happy endings, Prince Charming, frogs are destroying women because they keep tolerating abusing behaviors from men with the belief that it is meant to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 11:42 PM

People have been abused by their mothers' boyfriends when they were children and these mothers refused to believe their own children. Women tend to look at things through pink-colored glasses.

Because I work with women, I'm a woman, I have been around women my entire life. I can identify patterns and you cannot. You also failed to comprehend what I wrote, because I said that women can be cunning, but the minute a man they like enters the picture, it's over.

You are making no fucking sense. She is still with her husband even though she has received all kind of evidence. Wake the fuck up.

I'm a woman and I was guilty of this too because I was naive.

No, women, as a general rule, are hopeless romantics and daydream about Prince Charming. It is not framed incorrectly. Even in the face of evidence, women are in denial and believe whatever lie their husband tells them.

Women refuse to take accountability. You can literally show a married woman photos of her husband copulating with a young girl, and she will say that it is AI-Generated. Women get STDIs from their husbands and they have no idea how they got the STD.

Most married people are not attracted to each other.

No, you are mistaken, because as women, we are hopeless romantics and we dream of Prince Charming.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 08:36 PM

They don't. If a woman is manipulating a man, it means she is detached, and if she is detached, she is not truly attracted. The minute a woman is truly interested in a man, she goes crazy, go to psychics and tarot readers.

I appreciate your candor. Thank you! You would be amazed, but today, there are still people who claim looks don't matter and that people fall in love with someone's soul. There is more awareness today, but not as much as we need.

This is sadly true. And we should never allow them to gaslight them. I've seen this happening so many times. Men absolutely use placeholders.

This type of belief is incredibly harmful because it sets people up for disappointment and fuels false hopes. I might have understood people believing these lies 200 years ago, but with the amount of information readily available? The short brother who never existed.

I'm a woman and there is no excuse to believe that bullshit in 2025. And this applies to women too. There are plenty of unattractive women who get rejected even for sex. Confidence and charisma don't do shit if you are not physically attractive.

What happens when the sex starts dwindling, then? These men cry and feel rejected. What happens when they are stuck in a dead bedroom because their wives do not feel genuine attraction towards them? You can say that these men don't care if women want them, but this is not true at all, because these old farts who are married to young women end up foraging a ménage à trois.

This is very true. Men were sold this lie that they age like fine wine, but we all age, and aging is tragic, no matter how many lies we tell ourselves. Everything falls apart. In the case of men, even if they go to the gym, they start losing their hair, they start looking like distinguished old ladies, they have erectile dysfunction, the facial contours sag. But they believe they are entitled to young women. There are a few cases (not as many as men want to believe) of very young women with old …

Karma doesn't exist. It's one of the biggest lies humans have fallen for. Yes, it's the just-world fallacy. People who have done unspeakable, atrocious things are thriving.

Everything you said is 100% correct but it applies to women as well. Men love to say that they have walked out on a date because the girl was rude to the waiter. Things that never happened! A woman with a nasty personality will have men drooling over her if she is hot. Hell, she can even have personality disorders. A good personality is secondary to looks.
