Be a good person. Take care of yourself. Support your community if that’s friends, family, or children.

I was just following the original debate threat. I still think in many cases you don’t see the point from women’s view or experience since your examples arnt really supportive for them. Moving away from church. I still don’t think a few random online chat rooms are good examples for where men are excluded. I think you can also frame this less men vs women. For example I would focus on where men are disenfranchised and hurt. Less me. Are enrolling in and graduating college. So while not completel…

We’re talking about real modern people. Women can have on role in the church which has no really authority except over children and other women. All true positions are only for men. Them revering a fictional women doesn’t do anything for current women. Your original post is about modern gender dynamics.

Bro, literally every position of authority in the Catholic Church is male. They just elected a new pope. Did you see who the electors were. Like 300 men.

That the main victims of male violence are women. Men are actually the main victims of male violence. War, assaults, murder, mugging, etc all happen to men at statistically higher levels. Bad men do exist but it’s other men who have to deal with them the most.

Relationships don’t start out at their best point. You grow into most aspects of relationships. So if you have along healthy loving relationship you’ll be in a much better place than when you started. I guess if all you think a relationship is status, money, look etc. then yeah your bound to be disappointed. If your looking for someone to build a lifelong partner staring point is import but it’s more about where you have the ability to get to.

The internet is just to vast for gender only spaces to exist. Especially Reddit with millions of users. The best options will be real life interactions. Either small groups of friends or male focused organizations like a gym or sports club.

Instant gratification or short termism. I don’t think people give relationships enough time to develop. Personally me and my wife would probably it be together now if OLD was a thing when we were dating. Our worst times in our relationship was probably about the 3-5mo mark. We had to learn how we both like to communicate and make changes to balance the relationship. Since then it’s been smooth sailing. I think people are too quick to move on. If your first text is bad, next. If the first date is…

Tinder isn’t a good representation of the general population.

I don’t take the op’s position seriously. It’s absurd to an extreme. Regardless of the same species point I just believe that when I look around at friends, family, coworkers, etc is see people that are more similar than different. That simple.

Not even saying the genders are the same. The last quote for op is “regardless of my last point, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to say men and women are closer to being different species than they are to sharing similarities” I find that so level of hyperbole so stupid. It’s ok to be a little extreme when making a point but this miss the mark so much. My point was to show just a few basic examples of the genders being similar. If you agree with op I’ll repeat my statement that anyone with a healthy…

The sub has debate in the title. I guess I could have just said op was wrong but I was trying to articulate my point a bit more.

Can you elaborate on being different with good things? Can only one gender be a good friend, partner, parent? Can only one gender be good at art or a great athlete? Is one gender more capable than the other? I don’t mean to say that each gender is going to be identical. There are some innate differences between the genders but there aren’t really limits on what good they can do.

No man who has a loving family. A mother. A sister. Meaningful relationships with his female friends would think like this. Are there manipulative women out there? Sure. Are men and women fundamentally different humans. No. Men and women want love, shelter, happiness. They want to travel and spend time with friends. To play sports and be active. To lose to music and enjoy a new restaurant. To be alive and be human is the same regardless of gender. Hell you don’t even need a gender to do any of t…
