Male seahorses lay eggs, I think, which is unusual among fish. Then again, other fish species have weird adaptations, too. Like, there's one species that periodically changes into the opposite gender. Also some male anglerfish permanently attach themselves to females and become a sort of parasitic organ.

Same. I was just thinking about this this morning. Also, you don't have to buy obligatory presents for relatives' kids who you never see and/or don't particularly like.

That community sucks now, TBH. They instigated all these rules that lead to many unpopular opinions, the literal defining feature of the community, getting scrubbed and potentially interesting discussions getting silenced. Now, it's all just 'Video games these days are too easy, amirite?'.

Not the specified pill, but I'm still inclined to say 'no', but for a few different reasons. I don't really see myself as father material. I don't like kids and I always shied away from dealing with younger cousins. Also, knowing what I know from places like these, I'd be scared of raising a 'loser' like me (if I had a son), so I'd either be equally clueless as a father figure or I'd just be a helicopter parent. Maybe there's some truth to when you meet the right person and it's different when i…

I'm not totally convinced, TBH. That sounds like it'd be great at the start, but become stale pretty quickly. You'd have to constantly live up to someone's ideal and keep the flame burning. You wouldn't be a person; you'd be a trophy that wasn't allowed to have flaws.

Brilliant 😂 My personal favourite was the one with the evil barren woman who was jealous of her sister who had two kids before her. So she randomly went berserk on their new nursery and caused 'thousands worth of destruction' and then blamed it on the kids (who were, like, three years old). 20 K upvotes, ROFL. I'm guessing that they're shitposters who get off on the reactions of gullible people who have a need to outraged.

It's even funnier when you remember that half of the stories on there are probably fake and gay anyway. The most insane shit makes the front page sometimes. I can't really change your view, as it's a good observation that I'm inclined to agree with. However, I think that the term pick me is homologous to simp. I think that we, as men, hate simps for ultimately the same reason, i.e. they raise the bar for all of us (while decreasing our individual worth and causing the 'market' to become saturated). While I agree that social media is causing an increasing number of women to hold this mindset, I'm maybe guilty of doing the same, which would be hypocri…

Reminds me of this recent story. These quoted stood out in particular: "Let's live like our forefathers lived. The child born in the house is your child," lawmaker Sarah Opendi said in parliament. And "Anything that you don't know can't kill you. If you don't know that this is not your child, it won't break your heart. But when you find out your heart will be broken," Margaret Muhanga said. Hmm, funny how ye olden days are desirable to them when it's in best their interests...

What he says is really interesting, and pretty much mirrored my thoughts. He's right that some people are simply playing on easy mode. I talked about this with a friend (an Indonesian Muslim), and here's what she had to say about it: "One question that non-believers tend to ask is, if God exists, then why He lets us suffer. That's actually quite sad because why don't we ask that question to ourselves. The difference between us and other creatures is that we have our freedom to think and act. God…

A lot of this shit is just staged. We grow up being taught that honesty is the best policy. In practice, though, this often leads to us just fucking ourselves over. Sometimes, lying, even just a white lie, is the path of least resistence. In the realm of dating and relationships, there has to be an element of fakery in the sense that you're just putting your best foot forward and looking out for yourself. It sucks. No-one said that the universe is logical and fair, however.

I'm not really a blackpiller, but I honestly can't think of an equivalent. Obesity maybe? Then again, that's not fixed like height is, so IDK honestly. Someone mentioned porn subs for undesirable female characteristics, but I know that porn-brained redditors aren't a good measure of whether a feature is popular or not. I wouldn't go the trans route, though. I think you'd just be setting yourself up for a life of pure misery (I've seen threads about that, and it was pretty eye-opening).

That is going to make people self conscious. It sucks having your insecurities confirmed online. A lot of people are soaking up this stuff and becoming depressed and bitter over it. People who are familiar with it than not at all. Right. Anytime I wander into a discussion by the ninvolved/uninitiated around this stuff, it's just the usual circlejerk of fucking brain-dead takes. Have you ever had those dreams where you are forced to be naked in public or are trying to walk but it feels like you're in trapped in quicksand? Yeah, thankfully, that's one depth that I never reached, i.e. being an asshole to those who at least try to sympathise with you. I certainly don't want to alienate the few members of the opposite gender who might sympathise with me, nor do I want to give them a bad impression of 'people like me'. IDK, there's even an entire sub dedicated to seething about it. IIRC, it's something to do with female being reserved for animals or non-human life forms (kind of like how in Indonesian you would use perempuan rather than betina for 'female' if you're referring to a person). The part about destruction is just feeding the narrative that sexless men are 'dangerous', IMO. Aside from posts on pill-o-sphere spaces, I'm not convinced that crime and unrest can be attributed to sexlessness. Yes, the 40% stat comes from some study on the human genome, IIRC. I get what you're saying about the other 60%, but from the looks of things, you're not part of that 'loser' demographic, so your attitude towards them feels a little like "Fuck y'all. I got mine".

What kind of treatments have you tried for the acne? As someone who's dealing with blepharitis/ocular rosacaea, it can be frustrating. The funny thing is that aren't the social practices in 3) the product of the very same oppressive patriarchy that's referred to in 1)? Here, it feels like The Patriarchy™ is just a boogeyman/buzzword that's trotted out to explain away any kind of discrepancy and/or prevent introspection. That said, I can agree with 2), as well. First off, I can agree that the rapid advancements in civilisation, food production, healthcare, etc., are responsible for the times of plenty that have lead to the human species becoming too big for its boots, as it were. Yeah, I'd say that the celibate part is misnomer. It's more like 'involuntarily not in a naturally acquired, loving relationship with my looksmatch'. This is a big part of why a fair share of black-pillers don't view prostitution as a solution to their predicament, either.

Yes, I think that you might be on to something here. Since feeling more white pilled these days, I've come to feel that reddit, and particularly communities like these, might just be among the worst places for an isolated/socially inexperienced people to receive their worldview. It's been said before that redditors are a self-selecting group of individuals. Its levels of confirmation bias will ultimately give you a very skewed represention of reality. Have you ever heard anyone IRL bring up the …

You're welcome. A comparative difference is that the stakes are much higher... I can agree with that. So many children are sired by deadbeat, or straight-up absent, fathers these days, so you'll want to ensure that you're choosing a good one. There's no biological cut-off for finding a gf or someone to bang... That's true. My only concern is that our testosterone levels, and subsequently, our libido, decrease as we get older. Not all of will become Charming Mr. Silver Fox™ as we age. So, we kind…

That sounds like a case of maladaptation, whereby an advantageous trait ultimately has the opposite effect. This can be seen in other species. The Irish elk (Megaloceros giganteus), for example, is thought to have gone extinct, in part, due to having excessively large antlers, a sexually selected trait, which inhibited their movement and increased the risk of being ensnared by trees. It seems that in nature, you really can have too much of a good thing, as it were.

There really ought to be a pinned post for the lurkers and tourists, a sort of arrival lounge, that explains what this community is and who it's constituents are. Maybe that'd cut down on the amount of confused Yikes 'n' Y'all posting.

Flat assed and A cup. Since you talked about citing studies, there's a fair amount of research on why human females typically have bigger boobs and butts unlike female chimpanzees and gorillas, our closest relatives, which are flat chested and store fat primarily around their stomachs instead. Here's a write up. It's been theorised that these traits, which are unusual and are unique to humans, may been sexually selected over our evolutionary history because they proved advantageous to the specie…

Are there gay/bi incels? Apparently so. In fact, there are even transgender incels, or so I've heard. However, they're a minority within a minority. So, yes, it's safe to assume that most are heterosexual males. It's difficult to explore the thought process... Understandable. Maybe, their mindset seems kind of odd to you? Maybe it's difficult for 'normies' to understand the thought processes around identifying as 'involuntarily celibate' for similar reasons. They have a take-it-or-leave-it attit…

Because the 'poor and post wall' would be on their level? Why would a financially stable man want a broke woman (aside from desperation/simp-ery)? If they're not financially stable, why do they feel like they're in a place to be raising a child? It sounds like they'd be better off simply not having children in that case.

This site pretty much wears its biases on its sleeve at this point. Was there ever a justification given for banning that sub? IIRC, it was 'quarantined' for a while... then it was gone.

True. If they're bringing these things to the table themselves, then I can see how that would be frustrating. However, the blue pill says that there's someone for everyone and that these have-nots are in the minority; most people are pairing up. If absolutely no-one is good enough for you, then maybe a shift of perspective is needed. Also, self awareness is important. Perhaps the authors of these stories are not the catch that they believe that they are?

The reality is normies of both sexes are primarily driven by emotions. Yes. I guess that there's maybe just a level of solipsism involved in this situation. By the same token, the "google makes money therefore nerds are no longer bullied or marginalized" argument I've heard from feminists does the same thing. Oh yeah, it's kind of the same logic as 'Obama was president, so racism is not real'. There may even be a specific name for this fallacy, but it eludes me for now.

That's what I'm thinking. One of the common criticisms of calling a status involuntary is that it implies that someone else is at fault and/or that it's that someone else's responsibility to do something about it. So, yeah, they could be viewed in the same light in that sense.
/r/AllPillDebate21/07/23 01:29 PM

Yeah, I sort of understand what you're getting at. I think that a lot of participants in these gender/pill discussions are guilty of applying caricatures to large populations when it's convenient to do so, e.g. to build them up or tear them down. In contrast to scientists, men are often portrayed as blue-collar workers, e.g. who build roads and keep the sewerage system going, when the argument centres around the question of who keeps society running (even though I'm not convinced that that chara…

I think that the halo-horns effect is pretty well documented and understood. I'm sure that there was even a study that found that individuals who are considered good looking were more likely to believe that life is fair. I've seen the second part brought up as a possible explanation when someone asks why all the unwanted men and unwanted women don't just get together.

Indeed. The loudest voices will always attract the most attention. In addition, I think that a lot of reddit just thrives on outrage, TBH. You have whole communities that are dedicated specifically to seeking out negative things, often from obscure corners of the internet, which, combined in an echo chamber, causes the userbase to believe that what they're seeing is an 'epidemic' or 'rampant behaviour'. People fixate on things that confirm their biases.

I think that it'd be so much easier if both sides could just be honest about what they want from one another, and to part ways respectfully if their desires don't align or cause a clash. Staying friends with someone, especially when it turnsout to have little in common anyway, out of some sense of obligation or guilt after your desires turn out to be odds with one another is only going to make things awkward on both sides. As far as I'm concerned, "You're not entitled to..." is a legitimate response to "I'm entitled to..." Otherwise, yes, it's simply a strawman argument that only ensures that the quality of the discussion stays towards the base of the pyramid of debate. Entitled is often just used as a buzzword at this point, so I wouldn't pay much attention to it. Fortunately, this does seem to be a sociopathic redditor phenomenon. This is just reddit BS. Everyone's an -ist or a -phobe of some sort. They probably didn't have a counter argument, so they just resorted to ad hominem instead. It's about ever feeling love, physcial affection, intimacy with a partner. Yeah, I think that this is overlooked way too much. To give just to be tossed aside when no longer useful hurts me to my core. Yeah, I can definitely see how that feels like 'betrayal' in a way. I've felt a similar way before, to the extent that I no longer believed in blindly supporting whole classes of people, but rather individuals. I guess the common justification that comes up is 'Not getting sex and relationships is not a real issue'. Just because it doesn't affect them, doesn't mean that it's not an issue, full stop. Yeah, I have my own unpopular opinions about this. What you have to understand is that a lot of this 'research' about incels is fundamentally flawed because it operates on the reverse of the scientific method, i.e. gathering evidence before drawing a conclusion. These 'researchers' often start out with a pre-formed narrative, and what follows is essentially just backwards rationalisation of it. But getting sympathy from someone you personally meet is a lower standart than getting sympathy from a stranger. Oh yeah, I totally get that. I takes a good character to put yourself in someone else's shoes, which is why it's more 'meaningful' when someone outside of your demographic is willing to listen to you. Over the past year, I actually got talking with a few women on a one-to-one basis via reddit, and we got to know one another quite deeply. As a 'loser', I found them to be very sympathetic towards me, and they didn't make me feel judged at all. Therein lies the problem: you're not going to find much sympathy in these dating/pill discussion circles due to their anonymous/impersonal nature.
