The scientist she mentions in regards to the Manhatten Project, Elizabeth Graves, certainly did important work on the project, but it was not "essential". The architects of the holocaust were all men. The "first modern school shooting" is a bit of a stretch as there were only two fatalities, and wikipedia has entries going back to 1840, so it really depends how you define "modern".
