Nudity is a common thing in a lot of European countries and is pretty harmless. I don't know about East Coast of US, you also have legal guns or something, so maybe the problem is with your society there.

To expand on this answer "...be scared of something, unsure of his feelings or maybe he just really has a lot on his plate and he cant focus on someone..", OP, if you want to be with him, you need to do 2 things: Make sure that it is the last case, i.e. "he has a lot on his plate and can't focus on someone" and not the first two, because otherwise it'll all get down to shit pretty quickly. A proper way to do this I would say is to openly tell him about what you want from this relationship and te…

I also suggest reading the book - it is quite interesting and explains in great detail the way our bodies work and why certain exercises are better than others. And don't over-train like your friend - I am still growing although I do only 8 types of exercises per the whole week (4 types per workout A, 5 per workout B).

Everything lifting related on the internet is usually met with snobism and elitism replies and "do you even lift" kind of questions, however I think in this situation I need to answer because I was in your shoes long time ago. Just to clarify - my stats are (in kg) 130, 160, 115, 70, 100 for SQ, DL, BP, OHP, BR so I know what I am talking about. And my message will be very short - there is no point for a beginner lifter (4 weeks) to switch programs so early and to decide YOURSELF on the sets and…

ah. stories about fucking crazies. She feeds of you being available for her and her crazy emotional demands. Don't give it to her. No contact or as minimal as possible (i.e. say that your cat is sick, you are very busy, therefore can't interact with her atm). Once she realizes you're not available anymore she would stop. Takes about 1-2 months depending on how unavailable you'll be.

Figuring out things and making them clear is not BP. BP is being delusional about the state of your relationship.

I've been in LDR when I was 23 for one year and it did work. Turns out we both were delusional and had very high moral standards (and I guess we still have them). Having said that, it is extremely hard and from a logical point of view not worth it. Sadly, logic rarely comes in picture in romantic relationships when you're young.

This. To add a good quote by Sheldon Kopp: "This wish to satisfy someone greater than the Self, to be found acceptable, to belong at last, is a struggle familiar to many psychotherapy patients. In their lives they waste themselves on wondering how they are doing, on trying to figure out the expectations of others so that they can become someone in the eyes of others. They try to be practical, to be reasonable, to figure it all out in their heads. It is as though if only they could get the words …

This is powerlifting grip you are talking about. Indeed, it puts more emphasis on the chest muscles and less on the triceps and hands. The purpose of the starting strength book and program is for you to get overall stronger, not to push that extra kg during the powerlifting competition. So in a nutshell I would advice you to find a comfortable grip width for you and stick with it. Just don't make it too narrow or it will become a triceps exercise. I use powerlifting grip because I find it comfor…

I have female friends in a sense that We can hang out, go out to bars, museums, cinemas, etc. However we never share the same emotional connection as with a man friend. With a guy some things don't need to be explained, you just get it - you get how he feels when he talks about troubles at work or at home, etc. With a female there is no such connection.

No, that's not what I think about. I was mainly referring to the porn-addiction and the negative consequences of that. Like when a 13 year old sees a porn movie and develops a complex regarding the size of his penis. I'm all for kinky stuff and dirty sex. I think we misunderstood each other. Did you read "No more mr.nice guy" chapter about porn? I think he summaries it quite nicely.

oh, not in this sense at all. For instance I know that real women don't usually look "polished" right? But in porn they always do, because it is business industry so there is a lot of makeup, lighting, etc. All the actors have perfect bodies, they have perfect sex, they continue for 2 hours, finger the girl as if the hand is a jackhammer and she seems to enjoys it, etc. - In this sense it is unrealistic, because it is staged. And about "alpha up" - pls no bully. we are not in school anymore (at …

Good. You are on the right track. Porn is like glossy magazines - they give you skewed perspective on reality. You look at the photoshopped, steroided bodies in the magazines and think -> this is reality. It is not of course. Same with porn. It is not a reality. If you want to masturbate - masturbate. But use your imagination as MrEiffel said.

I think I have a good tip for you - try to start a conversation with every stranger you have to be with for more than 2 minutes. Gym, elevator, queue in the shop. Then you'll get the "muscle memory" of making a smalltalk. Just a small conversation, about ANYTHING.

Don't confuse short-term motivation with the desire to improve yourself. Once you feel the results you'll want to continue - like learning a new skill and being able to apply it, getting stronger and fitter, etc.

Not being a jerk or anything, but what weights did you reach on stronglifts? Once I got to around 120kg squats, I couldn't rest 1:30 minutes. And honestly speaking, if you read Starting Strength, one and a half minute to rest before sets on squats is too little. I rest 3 minutes, sometimes even five (before the last set).

You cling to something that is already lost. Because it meant so much to you, you now have a hole inside and you're desperately trying to fill it up by going down the same way that brought you to this situation in the first place. Realize this. Don't go this way. She doesn't love you. It's over. Getting over this requires a lot of control. So let's say, there is a chapter on a particular issue and the author goes deep in analysing it and you immediately think about a similar problem in your own life and by the end of the chapter you realise it's not so big of a deal as you previously thought.

It is mainly about psychotherapy and the problems that patients try to solve when going to the sessions with the therapists, however it explores much more than that. It talks about the problems that most people face inside their heads, whether about job, love, parents, or friendship. The way in which Sheldon Kopp has written the book is easy to understand, however it is also very deep.
