While a catchy acronym, how close does this align to Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV [5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Seems the steps should be: trust Him, not your own understanding, acknowledge Him in the process, then move forward with your plans. From my experience He will then open and close doors to accomplish His desires.

Most if not all 17 year olds lack the wisdom and maturity to make a lifetime decision. What lifetime decisions do five year olds make? There’s no experience she’s missing out on she can’t have in a group environment that includes this dude

I’m newish to RPC, but doesn’t vetting play a big part into dating? Maybe someone can enlighten me. What vetting is done at 17? Isn’t the point of dating for a true Christian supposed to be marriage? Is she ready to marry at 17? Seems like common sense you should stick to your guns OP

Good point, the context of 1 Cor is citing capital punishment for the “minor transgression” of sexual immorality while Moses was on the mount. (1 Cor 10:7 directly quotes Ex 32:6 ...and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.) What do you think playing is? It wasn’t football. OP is living in current times, this isn’t an Old Testament event. That was an example that yes, God can use anything He pleases including the death of a child as punishment. Psalm 7:11 KJV [11] God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. In 1 Cor 10:8, 23k people died for their fornication. I’d say fornication angers God!
