Obviously you and I have different ideas about marriage and aren't going to agree. No hard feelings. Have a nice day.

The only point I am trying to make is that adultery may not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but it does more harm in terms of loss of trust and respect than good in terms of dread game. A marriage dealing with infidelity is a dysfunctional marriage. It may not always be a failed marriage, and it may recover from it's dysfunction, but it is definitely dysfunctional to start with.

I know her. I know how they are together. And I know what his actions did to her and their marriage. You are the one trying to defend him with literally no knowledge of him or his marriage. He may have excuses, but what is black and white is that he severely damaged their marriage almost to breaking point by choosing to commit adultery rather than face any issues in their marriage head on. The point of this thread wasnt to talk about my friends, it was to discuss the advice given in another thre…

If a man isnt getting what he needs in his marriage then he can either try fix it or end the relationship. Cheating is the coward's way out. Either way, these things should take place before she is pregnant with your child.

All I know is that one of his exes threw herself at him and he gave in. If you aren't interested in keeping your wife attracted to you and think having other options is more worthwhile, then you have no business getting married in the first place.

She was pregnant when he cheated. :/ She put her family over her feelings and made a hard decision to make it work instead of turning her back on the relationship like he had. Cheating on your wife will not make her want you more, just how it is.

I can only speak to my own experience here, and like I mentioned earlier, one of my friends (the only other married woman my age who I know) was cheated on by her husband and she has told me that, even on top of the trust issues she has now, she has to slowly work past the disgust she feels about him. At first she was physically repulsed by him and only now, a couple years later, is she finally starting to get over that. That doesn't sound like the "cheating makes men attractive" line. It may ma…

I disagree completely. There is nothing more beta and cowardly than a cheating man. The cheater says "I am unhappy in my relationship but I am too lazy or stupid to fix it and too cowardly to end it, so I will go chasing after low-quality "easy" women instead." There is nothing desirable about that. Nothing ruins a mans attractiveness like displaying lack of self-control, whether that manifests itself in obsesity, drug addiction, or sleeping around when he is in a committed monogamous relationsh…

Why is women cheating worse than men cheating?

Ahh yes. The other day I caved and bought one of those trendy "high-low" dresses that are shorter in the front and long in the back. My husband liked it on me and I love how they flutter when you walk. BUT I know it's a very trendy dress and will likely be out of style in the near future. It will be an easy fix to even out the hem though and end up up with a simple knee-length dress. Just another example of why learning to sew is such a useful thing to do. Even just knowing how to make basic alt…

The only other married couple i know who are my age are dealing with trust issues after infidelity and it seems like hell. Honestly though, it would be less about trust for me and more about loss of respect. Cheating just seems so cowardly and weak to me. An easy out instead of dealing with the problems in the marriage. It is a deal breaker for me too.

Unilateral open relationship? And she "found out" you were sleeping around, as in she wasnt aware of the "unilateral open relationship?" Is this code for you being unfaithful?

Yeah, I'm sure that could be a part of it too. Another thing to consider (and you don't have to answer since it's pretty personal, just think about it.) Are you well groomed and clean "down there?" Maybe she would be more interested in doing that in the shower with you or directly after a shower.

I think Fascinating Womanhood is worth a read. Some parts of it are a bit iffy, especially in that is kind of implies sometimes that women can use certain techniques, not just to make themselves more attractive to men, but to manipulate them into doing whatever they want. Not really red pill in that respect. But I like that it gives a lot of examples and concrete advice beyond the usual "Be gentle!" "Be supportive!" "Be feminine!"

Is she religious? I am Catholic and believe oral and mutual masturbation is only acceptable as foreplay. Without getting too detailed, we believe that sex must "end" in a way that is open to the possibility of conception. I think I am in the minority in this group about that and the specifics of Catholic teaching on sexual morality within marriage can be a bit confusing to an outsider, but I'm just saying that her religious values (if she has them) could be a factor in her aversion to oral sex.

Mom and daughter here. I hope it is okay for me to chime in. :) I think the most fundamental thing you can do is to be the best man you can be. Women are unconciously attracted to men who remind them of their fathers. Also just being present and interested in their life makes such a big difference. A girl who wants to make her daddy proud wont be off making foolish mistakes with unworthy boys in a quest for validation. Until they are married, their male validation should come from you, so praise…

You really had yourself sterilized permanently because, at 22 years old, you are afraid of delivery? You shouldn't have made an irreversible decision that will impact your entire life based on the fear of one day of physical pain. I don't really have any advice for you other than to work diligently on cultivating feminine skills (cooking, decorating, probably sewing or at least mending, etc.) Being a cheerful and skilled homemaker is important to men even if you choose to work outside the home. …

Yeah, some couples never mix sex and discipline, some couples always do. Lots do a mixture of both.

Hubby and I have experimented with this, but at the end of the day I just enjoy the spankings too much for them to really be punishment for me. We keep it purely sexual now. I obviously dont see anything wrong with this kind of relationship as long as the woman consents to it, and from what I have seen in DD circles online, it is almost always (I would say upwards of 95% of the time) the woman who has to convince the man to try it.

It's great that you two are making it work but I just don't think this is a healthy or common type of relationship. I highly doubt that many men would be interested in a long term relationship with a woman who felt no sexual attraction to him whatsoever, and a relationship where the man has to make a habit of paying prostitutes for sex just doesn't seem functional to me. I think it's a bit dishonest to imply that a woman refusing to save sex in a long term relationship makes her a "keeper." She …

The example I was thinking of I have forgotten the acronym was but I looked it up on urban dictionary and it basically amounted to "marriage material" as opposed to another acronym which meant "short term relationship or one night stand material"

As a noob I totally agree that there should be a FAQ. Also an acronym guide. I know there is one on the men's red pill subreddit sidebar, but I've come across some acronyms that weren't listed there.

but i just want to know why woman who have daughters would want them to be so, open-legged I'd like to know that too. The thought is terrifying to me, as someone who hopes to have daughters someday. Good luck on your hopefully future marriage! I love to knit and crochet and things like that, one time I got a work-at-home gig where I was crocheting hats for a small local business, but I'll warn you, doing your hobby on a deadline for money really sucks the joy out of it. haha. I am far from an expert on this but I think it may be a defensive reaction on their part. Maybe they are unhappy with the way their love life has been going but they assume that it's what everyone else is doing so it's not a big deal. When they see that it's not what everyone else is doing, that there is another option, it makes them reflect on their own choices which is uncomfortable so they respond defensively. I think I must be lucky because I haven't gotten a lot of comments like that, and I…

You are so right about scent memory. My husband has a cologne that he rarely wears, but he wore it on our prom night and our wedding night and it definitely gets me in a lovey-dovey mood.

I prefer the scent of soap or shampoo to cologne on a man. I think too many men (and women too) tend to go way overboard on the scents. You might be able to pull it off if you only wear a LITTLE bit of it, to where I can't even smell it unless we are already embracing.

I am not a troll. I dont need access to the bank account, if I need something I ask for it. I take his card if I need to buy food or stuff like that but, as our budget is very tight and he is both the one who makes the money and the one who manages it, all non-necessary purchases get okay'd by him first. It is only a problem when I want to get him a surprise gift or something.

We live in a rural area and only have one car so my own social life isnt much to brag about either but I do have Church people and a knitting group I am in. :) There are hardly any married people our age, we know one other but they are going through some stuff right now and cant hang out much. A bit discouraging really. His mom is an enthusiastic (and free!) babysitter, but we probably dont take her up on that often enough. I'll remind him that we should date again. :)

We are doing pretty well romantically. I try not to say no to him in that department unless I am sick or something. He is really more of a homebody but I think I will encourage him to get out by saying that I am totally okay with it because I think it would be helpful for him to be around more guys. He has never hit me, but then his anger is never really directed AT me, but I do worry sometimes what he would do if I were to mess up somehow to where he was mad at me in particular. :/ I dont reall…

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. I have a hard time with his anger because so often it seems like he is enraged over the silliest little things. I assume it is overflow from bigger underlying stress, but then I dont know how to support his anger over those meaningful stresses when he is only EXPRESSING his anger over little everyday inconveniences. I know I need to respect him, but it is difficult for me when it seems like he can't keep his emotions under control in daily life. Also just letting …

I think that would help him a lot too. A while ago he was studying computer coding and even had a connection with someone who said they would be able to get him a job when he was certified, but he recently stopped studying and seems to have given up. :/ He said it was just more stress for him to have to deal with when he got home when all he wants to do is relax by playing games and smoking. I've tried mentioning to him that he might well have depression but he is against taking medication for t…
