Very telling that you didn't mention socialism or really any traditionally left economic position, but only what basically amounts to dietary and lifestyle choices.

That's becuase they haven't read the book. Dworkin hates men, and rather critically examines the system for a materialist lens. She sees this as separate issues and discusses how her personal negative experiences with men, has colored her view of this system as well. So sociologically a sound way to examine one's own bias.

In her book, she is careful to differentiate between her personal hate for men and the structural analysis which is more materialist. She goes on and on about her own personal traumas and questions wether her hate for them is because she "is broken" or really valid. The book is a lot better than what the quotes imply. But yeah, she's very angry and doesn't hide it. Solanas, on the other hand leans into essentialism, thus undermining her own framework, and is philosophical contradictory. Not wort…

You can actully. It can be specifically asked to analyse a problem or phenomenon through a particular philosophical lens, or even multiple, and will do so. Ask it about Michel Foucault next time you have this conversation and you will see.
