Thank you for pointing this out. Would it be better if I change it to Men have the right to free speech? And then add my comment maybe? I feel that there has been times where men's opinions of their rights and discriminations are not being heard simply because people forget there is responsibility with freedom of speech.

Ok don't hate me. I found the book interesting. There are parts that are not factual and have been blown out of proportion. But if you read all the way through and have a open mind it was better than I thought. It's needs to be kinda broken down and read wisely, try understanding the main points trying to get across. As a person that supports men's right and equally opportunity I can see there is a lot both men and women should be able to agree with. It's right to say extremism is very dangerous…

But that's still not actually true. I'm part of this group because I believe in men's rights and equality. That doesn't mean Im willing to ignore some facts where men social ways are mostly (not entirely) tilted slightly in there favor. Men are totally not equal in may ways. But if you look at global averages. Tons of jobs where men and women are doing the exact same thing get paid exactly the same. I think all infact low paying jobs are standard if your a man or woman. There are still jobs are …

This is crazy. Why is it so hard to believe in a gender pay gap. So it might not be as straightforward as some feminists may have you believe but that doesn't mean it doesn't currently still exist. Men are underrepresented in some industries. Also in other industries women are underrepresented. That's ok to state. Things are moving forward with this. Men often work more hours than women. There are many factors to this both good and bad to both men and women. Man I'm more likely to be promoted hi…

What you say is very true. Also it's the same for rape. The prosecution rate of rape is extremely low. It's immensely hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt any sexual crime. I know the media distorts the reality of sexual crime prosecution rates. As well as the fact that false news and conspiracy theories spread faster them wildfire. That's because the internet gives us what we want to hear regardless of truth. Victims of sexual crimes of all kinds often simply don't report for many reasons. Tha…

Sexual assault with penetration, hold the same sentences rape. When proved beyond reasonable doubt. Sexual assault without penetration has a lesser punishment

You don't need a penis to rape. In the UK The legal definition of rape is 'penetration with a penis of the vagina, anus or mouth of another person without their consent'. However there is an amendment. In law, penetration of another person's vagina or anus with any part of the body other than the penis, or with any object, without their consent is defined as 'sexual assault by penetration'. This crime carries the same sentences as rape. There is a fever definition as to what consent means. This …

In England there are many very good laws like for example the equality act 2010 that has ment men and women are fairly equal on paper. However it's very hard to prove discrimination. So in practice both men and women suffer from different kinds of discrimination in different sectors.

I think with women's rights it's less to do with legislation and more to do with legislation not being carried out in the real world.

Thank you. I agree. I didn't know I was being abused. I know men absolutely can be victims as well. And men should not hit women. That's because it's wrong to hit. Women should not hit men. Hitting is not the answer. But I know it's hard not to in self defense. After a lot of verbal and psychological abuse I snapped and hit a man. It was just wrong of me. Violence is not the right way to handle anything. Self-defense or not I should never have hit him.

I don't live in Australia, I live in England. Your son will grow up admiring you. Did you see my post DA support for men. This is a problem that is close to me. I too am a survivor of domestic abuse. Thank you. I do of course understand your assessment. I agree it could be improved. Opening up a diolog and communication between men and women on things like this I think are important. I have never lived as a man so I see it as reasonable to listen to men and see there side. I presume you have never lived as a woman. I was a young girl and a teenager and now a woman. There are some things in society that are plane wrong. Men and women both don't have a easy ride. Some of what you said I don't …

This might surprise you coming from a woman but for different reasons I felt completely the same. You might wonder why and I'd like to explain. I would like a diolog. If your ok to share more I'd like to hear and know more. I didn't consider myself a victim. I didn't know I was being abused. It was later I understood and saw it for what it was.

Thank you for your reply. Please forgive my lack of knowledge here, being a woman I acknowledge the probability of been brainwashed to biased one side to thinking. Would you mind expanding on gender neutral laws? I simply don't know enough about current laws. What is or is not currently gender neutral laws in this area. I know very well the lack of support and shelters. I'm lucky enough to know of a small group in my county that support men and they are a good group just too few and far between.

I think I must be old or something. I see so many bad things on here about feminist. Everyone seems to hate them. I don't really listen to any but I was taught that a feminist is someone that beliefs is women's equal rights. Now I do believe in equal rights between the genders. I also believe in woman's rights. So to me, I'm a feminist. I believe in woman's rights as much as I do men's rights. Is it ok I still see myself as a feminist? Because I believe in equal rights between all genders. I'm n…

How absurdly preposterous, what a load of twaddle. You don't seem to have a clue what your talking about. However entertaining. You hold no merit as to how I identify as only I have the ability to know how I identify. And I am at liberty to express I identify as many things. A woman, a feminist, British, white, an intellectual, monotheist. There is much I may choose to identify as. Equally I do not have to agree with all the actions or oppinons with any given movement. That is shocking. I thought after the Fred and Rose West case the ball started rolling on women can and do rape. She raped women. And I know this is not by definition rape but she forces her children to feel her vagina. That was years ago.

I'm afraid this is not a fact. But I can see where the mistake can be made. It seems as if you don't know what a feminist is. I can call myself a feminist because it's "the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes." I am aware that sadly many women who call then self feminist don't appear to want equally between the sexes. Some women seem to be very unfairly biased towards women and can be quite anti men. So I'm a feminist by definition. You technically could be too …

🙋 me. I'm a woman who calls herself feminist. I didn't know I was old school, but ok then. Maybe I'm old at 35. Fair enough. I don't mind. I want better equally. Even if you have all or no gender. And if I see a woman sexually harassing a man I'd be the angry lady putting the word right.

I do agree, there should be severe punishment for women who falsely accused rape. Oh anyone for that matter. But just to play devil's advocate here. Just as something to think and discuss. Could that back fire on men. There are men out there that rape women and get away with it. The low numbers of women reporting is real. Many more women don't report rape than do report. A sad fact I'm afraid. Men and women that rape often can reoffend many times knowing they are unlikely to be brought to justic…

I just don't understand this. It makes no sense. As a woman, as a human being. Why? This is crazy. This is hurting men immensely, but this shit is hurting women as well. I'm a woman. I was raped. I'm not making it up, it really bloody happened and it really is a big deal. I went to the police, it was a horrific experience. I can't understand women who lie about this. Innocent men are being ruined by this. On the flip side, actual rapists are able to offend and reoffend over and over with no cons…

That's very stupid. Being generous, miss guided. But mostly stupid. I'd like to reply to that person and politely tell them the damage that way of thinking can do. Yes there is still a stigmata against mental health especially men's mental health. Society doesn't change fast. But there is men and women in society so no one can exactly put it down to one gender. The stigma really mostly comes from people who have never suffered so can't fully get it, and old historical norms being passed down, st…

I don't know what a modern day feminism is really. Sounds scary. But I know I don't like it when things are not fair. And I think if women paid more attention to men's rights many women problems would naturally get better.

I feel it makes sense. All the statistics men talk about on men's right are true and the injustice is wrong. I think more needs to be done to fight inequality. I'm the wrong gender to make much of an impact In women's right. If it's only women talking about women's right you are cutting out half the population. You end up pushing away men. Men end up feeling blamed and scapegoated. It's wrong. If more women listen to men and support them and acknowledge the injustice there too things will be bet…

I don't think in incredibly. Crazy maybe lol. Maybe I'm selfish. I'm fighting for women. I just believe the best way to fight for women is my standing with our men. Men are strong. But so are women. Injustice is just wrong. I should add. The best in a man. My husband has stood by me. After my rape and through my police investigation. He is with me. He has never once forces sex on me. He has never asked for his marital rights. He is willing to wait until sex is not a traumatic experience. We have…

Very well put thank you. Not everyone adheres to the law. And lots of men Don't discriminate. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Discrimination comes sometimes in small ways sometimes in big. And I'm not at all saying it's conscious. There may be some differences in the USA and the UK in some things I don't know. In England we have very good equality laws and women in theory are sort of on paper equal. But in practice it's not quite that simple. born and always lived in England I have been discriminated against because of my gender. Not just my gender but that's another story. I have noticed lots of accidental discrimination a lot more often. Not necessarily intentional but no less damaging. This is a long long topic. Men sh…

Do you mind if I pick up a few parts here. There has been enormous pressure on men to provide and be supportive, to be a lover and a partner for a very long time. Men have not historically had as much pressure to be a partner as they do now so that is harder. But do you mind if I make a suggestion that may not be necessarily women that put all that pressure on. Men to put that pressure on men, society put that pressure on men as well as some women. And it's a burden I do not believe they have to…

Thank you for your comment. I want to engage and open conversations with men. I do believe in equality. Although I see it as a hard subject that I don't imagine everyone can agree with. Would it help if I said I believe men need more and better parental rights. What's happening to father's in family court is just wrong. Men suicide rate can't be ignored. Men are not the only perpetrators of domestic abuse or sexual abuse. There needs to be better support for me in the justice system. It should n…

Am I allowed to be a feminist technically, but also believe in men's rights. I don't like all of what feminists say but, because I do believe in equally for women, I am a feminist. I don't believe any women is better than men. And I believe equally is more likely if women support men's right and stop villanizing them.

I never use to identify with feminist because I didn't agree with so much. It's odd saying I am in many ways because when you say you are people have a imagine in there mine of what that is. And well I'm not that at all. But there is something in the definition I hear that in theory means I am. But I kinda think if you want equally for women you have to stop demonizing and villainizing men. That's just wrong. I strongly believe in men's rights. I do also agree with women's rights as well.
