First of all, don’t be so hard on yourself, you’re human. You didn’t make him act shittily toward you, he did that on his own. Second, take your power back in whatever way that means to you. I’d suggest blocking him if that’s feasible (you say you work together). If it’s not, grey-rock him and only ever talk about what is absolutely necessary (which in your case would be things related to work). Third: stop checking his and his ex’s socials. It’s hard, yes, but checking will only keep you emotio…

Sending you hugs! And block him! You say you’re scared of his response luring you back with false hope - reclaim that power for yourself and block him before he gets the chance to mess with your head like that. You’ll thank yourself, I promise.

The comments were other women commiserating that they’d been through similar happenings: asking a guy to text/call more and getting met with being dumped rather than him expending even minuscule effort. The good thing is that these are not men you’d want to build a life or relationship with and they’re somewhat easy to avoid once you learn their behavior patterns but it still stings to see it happen.

Also bonus of one guy in the thread saying be at least bring a his wife coffee every morning and a LVM joking that letting women know about this tiny act of kindness would “ruin it” for everyone else https://i.imgur.com/Mowna8n.jpg

At this point she’s basically a single mother, what is the husband even there for?

I thought this article was interesting and thought it was relevant here. Throughout history, most men never reproduce and this phenomenon continues today.

A 300 lb Peter Pan type told me he had options and wasn’t sure if he was ready to commit to one person just yet. He was 30, balding, and had roommates and my dumbass was deeply in love. While I (clearly) hadn’t discovered FDS yet, thankfully I had enough self-respect to cut it off. I cringe every time I think of the whole fiasco.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
