Yes, she claimed I had too many faults and would only continue trying to work on the marriage if I went to my own therapist and we did a couples therapist as well. To be fair, I was far from perfect and used it to actually better myself. When the things she would blame on me were no longer valid, either because I improved or the therapist added perspective to negate some of the claims, she finally admitted to her infidelity.

In most cases, I’d say both parties play some kind of role in a divorce happening. However, it seems like one person goes too far and the relationship can’t be saved, or both parties agree they want something different and part ways.

I was in the same mental and emotional state as you are now, a year ago. I’m not going to lie, it’s going to suck bro. But not always, and not forever. I’ve never been a social person either and it took a long time before I felt up to doing anything at all outside of work. If you have the opportunity to do something with people, do it.
