In your opinion why do you think this is if stats show men are happier in relationships and women are happier out of them? Is it bc the men in relationships are shitty? Because genuinely I see way more women expressing want for long-term relationships and families. Do men want this also (and more) and are just less vocal about it or what?

I see the opposite..men are much more ok with being alone and just fapping to porn whereas women are on the constant lookout for a man and need to be around people. The meme about men being content with a literally bare apartment with nothing but a chair and tv setup exists for a reason.

We'll have to just not see eye to eye. If anything a short guy's fitness matters a lot more because a tall guy is already tall. A woman will be more willing to settle or be okay if he's not the most in shape bc of his height. A 5'7 fat guy is a clear no while a guy who is in shape will make her at least think about it if he is decent socially or lookswise. The taller (or whiter) you are, the more a woman will be able to look past a subpar body or face, so at least I agree with the importance of …

At 6'1, you'll always have the advantage over a 5'7 guy all other things equal, but there is a world of difference in the dating life and success between a soft chubby 5'7 guy and a fairly toned 5'7 guy, from observation of couples and nightlife around me.

Why would you say above average men are able to find the drive but below average men can't? Couldn't some argue that below average men would be more inclined to try to improve themselves (and then taking advantage of the tech and info) due to suffering the consequences of being below-average growing up?

The blackpilled do nothing about it bc they don't think there's anything worth doing about it eg no point in working out, developing social skills and pursuing knowledge and hobbies, or getting rich when all that matters is the face, height, race, and frame they were born with. I'm not saying they are right or that there aren't many problematic fucked up things in their outlook, just explaining their logic.

Ignorance can only be used as an excuse for so long. Pretty soon it should be common knowledge not to wife up an onlyfans so that if you do you got no one to blame but yourself. I already feel that way about simps.

From my observations literally every single guy at least facially will look better in their early 30s than their early 20s if they take care of themselves, and some even significantly later if they are late bloomers or held extra baby fat for a longer time. The truth is many if not most men also look worse because socioculturally men have stopped giving a shit and let themselves go by their late 20s if not earlier.

Why can't/don't the slightly below average men become average or more with the same info or tech that the above average guys take advantage of?

This sub and reddit never cease to amaze me. Nothing against the OP but it's just strange to hear something like "I am not sure how well this will be received" as if these discussions are big-brain or breaking new ground when there are multiple posts arguing about the same things every day here.

Almost everyone who "cares" about what the opp sex is doing, esp on subs like these, only cares bc of how dating dynamics affect their own lives and situations. Ofc they couldn't give zero shits how an entire demographic comprising 50% of the population is actually doing.

This is clear from grade school. The dominant bullies who are more rebellious in nature and always in trouble are more popular.

I don't think standards are entirely universal at all because straight up my own standards and preferences have changed drastically quite a few times over the years, aside from very general things like healthy looking skin and hygiene. Even things normally deemed innate or universal like broad shoulders on men or hip waist ratio on women were not readily appreciable to me all the time. But I don't know why this needs an either/or answer. Certainly things like symmetry or healthy complexion matte…

No, women (or men for that matter) cannot always sense shitty toxic men/people. Some men, definitely, can be seen through because they are bad at pretending. "You do bad with women bc they can sense you're a shitty alt-right incel just from your aura". There are just as many who are good at it if not more. It's often something that happens gradually for many people as they grow up and learn how to read and talk to others and know exactly what they want to hear. Sometimes it's not about being a s…

Ofc women want those men over a guy who fakes wealth. Maybe not a Lambo, but there are plenty of guys who buy genuinely nice things. They might be drowning in debt, but the nice things they wear, carry, and drive around are real. We all want the cream of the crop, but in reality many women are in happy relationships with men who are in the bottom 99% because statistically it's inevitable. If your premise is that only the top 1% are alpha and the rest are beta, then there's no point in discussing…

I would say some of the issues you describe are more the result of the system only allowing for so many millionaires or billionaires. I do know a lot of people who make very well under 100k/yr who have no trouble spending extravagantly and flaunting accessories and cars, so regardless of long-term consequences they certainly, currently, "look" rich. It's true as you say it's relative, if all of a sudden all men tomorrow were 6 feet tall, ripped, making 6-figures, women's new standard would be 6'…

I dunno, somehow I think it's possible for multiple men to be taken seriously at once during work meetings. It's not some relative numbers game in this context where the system only allows for a select few men to be respected and others whose opinions are simply dismissed or looked down upon. As much as status and credentials are factors, being taken seriously has more to do with how you present yourself, your voice tone and volume and rhythm, posture, and such. Physical attractiveness obviously…

I don't follow. Unless you're saying something like the very evidence of how modern society is overrun with soft obese unassertive men without lucrative careers is proof that betas are the majority and always gonna be beta. I don't know about that. But as you say there are plenty of muscular men who will always be beta bc of their tendency to fall in line and care about what others think.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/22 08:40 PM

Alpha beta not sure if all that is bullshit or not. But by following RP prescriptions you will see improvement in your sex and dating life relative to wherever you were before. Are you an alpha who is just unlocking his alphaness or a beta who is trained to act like an alpha to trick women into sleeping with you? Irrelevant to most guys. If it's innate you can't change that about yourself anyway.

I'm sure there are dudes out there who are hot for Angelina Jolie but she doesn't have legions of fans like male celebrities bc men don't give a shit about fame or status. To me she is attractive in the way as a straight guy I would find a man aesthetically appealing - impressive or handsome but not sexually. Just too angular or distinguished looking.

It's true. Women vary a lot in what they like. For example tall and square-jawed and blonde, vs tall and square-jawed and dark-haired. Sometimes they might even be open to different races of tall and square-jawed.

Lol the amount of white women in postmodern countries thinking they face the same amount of oppression and discrimination as black people is hilarious. They are very much literally the most privileged and coddled demographic in the entirety of history. I'm glad they are taken increasingly less seriously.

It can go the other way too. You see a woman with a frumpy fat guy and you have to consider what he looked like when they first met often several years ago or more. You may find that the fat guy is tall with a beard and love handles used to hide what once was a fit (or at least fitter) body and a more defined face.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/22 04:10 AM

That's what I was thinking. Like is a man really "punching up" if he makes a lot of money, has a diversified stock portfolio, is in shape with good social skills and a wide network if his SO has a better looking face but pales in comparison in all other areas? Men and women are different and prioritize different things.

I don't get your point. Are you saying Lesbians don't crave male attention? Who knew. Most people don't need anyone if they are secure in themselves. Full stop, as you like to say.

A lot of women in the past have referenced Brad Pitt's physique in Fight Club. Easy to obtain? Maybe not for everyone. Naturally attainable? Absolutely no question.

Thx for the response. I'm not just talking about anime, just in general like the 3D rendered porn or obviously fake models of naked women with exaggerated tits and hourglass figures. Men can still find themselves drawn to them and get off to them. Uncanny valley doesn't cause a knee jerk ewwww as it does to women. Although..I would not really personally consider Alita attractive much less sexually attractive myself. Maybe cute in an alien way for obvious reasons? Eyes way too big and far apart w…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/22 02:23 AM

Yeah, but then you have a lot of guys who straight up jerk off to caricatured cartoons or 3D porn so uncanny valley while IRL would be disturbing obviously does not garner the same visceral repulsion among men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/22 03:18 PM

Yeah I feel like men are more drawn to the raw sexually dimorphic features - hence gay men preferring more or hypermasculine men (and straights gravitating to T&A) - versus both straight or lesbian women who are more open to the abstract or femininity. Many straight women love masculine men, but even the men they like are often not as masculine as the guys preferred by gay men.

Disingenuous. As in, you can't have a conversation about entitled attitudes in dating without bringing the bigger picture into focus. It's not in good faith to posit "Men are so entitled! This is such a huge problem!" when you know women are also very entitled in the same way.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 10:44 PM
4

Let's hypothetically say OP is objectively correct about male entitlement. But disingenuous to a fault that basically negates the main point and purpose of the discussion. So pointing that out is relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 10:10 PM
2

"Too many men view women as a right and not a privilege" is the OP title. The implied gist here is the rampant entitlement to a partner. When this applies equally to women as OP freely admits - when too many women view men as a right and not a privilege - it's disingenuous to mention this as a mere afterthought or exclude women from the primary premise and discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 09:45 PM
8

Idk do you think OP should be interpreted as a general application as I did or that we should just assume by default all discussions refer to the dysfunctional people here on PPD even when unspecified?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 08:20 PM
27

Yeah so why aren't both in the title? Since people viewing the opp sex as a right and not a privilege applies to both sexes why isn't this entitlement a "huge problem" for everyone then instead of just men?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 07:47 PM

"It should not be this difficult to find a good man" "Where have all the good men gone?" "Men these days just don't have a spine/don't know how to woo a woman anymore" Entitlement runs both ways, and that's what happens when the expectation is for everyone to have a healthy dating life with multiple prospects and the ones who struggle are ridiculed.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 07:45 PM
2

This is an extremely popular and discussed opinion, I can't imagine you getting a lot of direct disagreement here or anywhere else.

Seems like the main difference between #2 and #3 is that while both are genuinely nice, #3 is happy or cheerful. Still doesn't matter if #3 is cheerful but doesn't possess sufficient status or physical traits deemed attractive, which in turn probably makes them less cheerful over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 06:57 AM

There are a bajillion types of nice guys. The point is it's irrelevant in what ways they are nice bc their niceness or lack thereof doesn't factor at all into how desirable they are to women.

They do respect logic as much as men do and view it as the final arbiter. They are just more willing to use other methods and manipulation should their logic fall short.

Chris Evans and Colton Haynes are much better looking than the average Hollywood actor, even the average Hollywood actor deemed "attractive". Never understood the appeal of Chris Hemsworth Sebastian Stan or a lot of the Marvel actors and shit. Agree on Jorge Del Rio though. Still, how many good-looking everyday guys do you see who look like Chris and Colton.

Those charts are obviously fucked with the woman version being even worse. I think they rated Summer Glau as like a 5 or 6 or some laughable shit. Meanwhile you have weird alien-looking mfs in the top tiers bc doesn't matter square jaw or positive canthal tilt.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/22 02:22 AM

LMAO in what world is Chris Evans or Colton Haynes a 6-7 unless you're going by online incel truerate me bullshit where 9 is the highest possible rating reserved for any one incel's favorite masturbation fodder male model and 8s are one in a million? Even on that graph a lot of 6-7s beat out the 9s because it's based on the opinions of virgin autists. The female chart is even worse.

Paradoxically a lot of women have some low ass standards once the "high" standards have been met, often ones that can't be changed, like tall and white. Once you got those a job at Pizza Hut is enough. His face is like Basic Brad that stopped growing into Chad.

What? A 25 year old marilyn monroe vs a margaret thatcher teacher? In what universe is that a hard choice regardless of income, the marilyn monroe could fucking be homeless and it would be a no-brainer.

Lizard brain makes people want sex, orgasm, physical intimacy as a way to facilitate procreation. The desire is for sex, not to have children - although some might argue otherwise. Agree on the gamble thing to an extent, you could have the best of intentions and they might turn out awful or have a terrible life regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 12:35 AM
1

Bottom line, like hunger people have a persistent physical and emotional drive to meet and procreate no matter what their logic dictates. They spend much of their lives trying to negotiate between the two. You asked why people who hate the opp sex still try or are here. This is why.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 11:58 PM
2

This works when it comes to sex, not romantic relationships. Annnnd the OP is talking about sexuality and sexual attraction. The average man given the chance would fuck many women. The average woman given the chance would not fuck many men. Even when talking about dating or relationships men are much more open, but that is another conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 10:28 PM
1

The answer is as simple as the title. Bc muh biology persists and is stronger than some can fathom. You may be jaded and dislike the opposite sex from a logical standpoint but the primal part of you still seeks out physical and emotional interaction and intimacy with them. The lizard brain wins out more often than not.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 09:12 PM
2

Sigh. The average man is attracted to many women, from a pool with age anywhere from like 20 - 45. I say "relative" youth and health. It doesn't matter if the ideal is a 25 year old fitness model. This pool is much much greater than the pool of men the average woman is attracted to. I can't put it any simpler.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 09:00 PM

What is your issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 08:43 PM
3

Lol seriously when is the disingenuity going to stop. Most women don't need to be 8+ Stacy for men to be sexually attracted to them. Most men need to be 8+ Chad for women to be sexually attracted to them. Again at the very least, there is a huge gap in terms of the bar for sexual attractiveness for both sexes.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 08:38 PM
6

Men are attracted to most women sexually to varying degrees if they are relatively healthy and young and put in some effort. Not remotely the same to compare the two.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 07:43 PM

Not really, because a truly hungry person will eventually take a stale piece of bread if it comes to it, and have increasingly lower standards with time.

Learn to read. In my first comment you responded to, I specifically said most women are attractive assuming they aren't fat or skinny and give effort. I have repeated this over and over during this entire apparently useless exchange. This fucking sub lol. Lmao. If me saying "most women are inherently sufficiently attractive to men" is disproven by you saying "But not if they eat like shit have bad hygiene or eating disorders" then so be it. Even though I specifically stated that healthy weight, self-care and effort were the criteria behind my definition of "inherently attractive". If a woman has relative youth and health, takes good care of herself, many men will be willing to fuck and date her. Agree to disagree. Most of my friends, peers, and c…

But would they feel genuine attraction for her? Men are opportunistic daters, they would fuck pretty much anything at least for numbers's sake. But there is a stark difference between treatment of 10/10 baddie and average girl. Yes, I said either fuck or date. As in, not one of those "I'd fuck her if I was drunk but never go out with her in public" type deals. Talk about disingenuous. Yeah women are scrutinized unfairly for their looks I agree for BS reasons. But honestly how many guys do you know who wouldn't fuck or date a woman because of labia or toe or nipple shape lmao. Point is if she puts in any type of effort and is relatively healthy, there will be plenty of men interested in her both short and long term. Youth is another trait, but you need to stop interacting with shitty incel men online then if you think somehow a woman needs to be 18 to …

The "female" ideal is almost entirely genetics based. You say most women are 'inherently' attractive in the face or body which is demonstrably untrue. Literally go outside and look at every woman you see. Try and lie to yourself and say you'd bang 7/10 of em. Even better, get into a relationship with that many. If, we are talking about 10 women all who strive to meet the "ideal" in that they put a decent amount of effort into their looks and aren't fat or too skinny, then yes, I would most likel…

A few things, The male ideal is harder to obtain than the female ideal, or at least, what is deemed "attractive". Things like height or bone structure conveying attractive male facial aesthetics are not changeable sans heavily invasive surgery. Building a muscular body also takes a lot more time and effort. Because of biology most female faces and bodies are just inherently attractive as long as they are healthy and not overly fat or skinny. The market and biology make it so that men are the ini…

It depends on the ideology or persuasion probably. Something like MGTOW is one thing but I just don't envision pro-simp forums or underground support groups for simps forming even if society as a whole in general is blue-pilled. The shaming of simp behavior is likely to cause more and more men to rethink how they are acting toward women or wonder if what they are doing is actually effective when they inevitably get nowhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:41 PM
0

I support this, the same way women shame slutty behavior in other women bc those women are lowering the value of sex, their primary bargaining chips. Thankfully simp shaming already happens and looks to only increase with time. I even hear some of my very left-leaning and SJW friends use it in a derogatory contemptuous manner to describe guys they've come across.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:25 PM
1

Less effective but still effective. In the same way men (or people) who speak out against say feminism in public spaces are often shunned or criticized if only for virtue-signal points. Sure, anti-feminists, mgtow, rp whatever have their online forums and groups but the point is they don't feel comfortable speaking openly about their views at work or when out with friends or meeting new people, at least not right away.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 09:24 PM
3

The sheer amount of women who prefer masculine looking men disproves this.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 05:50 AM
1

This sub has def gone downhill the men are extremely deluded and/or stuck in a rut - they don't sound like they've spent a day in the real world (maybe bc of the incel spillover or blackpill ideology increasing) and the women are in denial and won't ever admit they are wrong in the face of their zero logic. I couldn't think of anything positive to say about any of the gender-based spheres online in that one "positive" thread except that I am happy when they fight each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 02:04 AM
1

What? How can you agree that men be trying to date out of their league when you said all men want commitment from a woman on their level? It's women who expect or want men out of their league to commit to them. In general. As the trends go.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 01:59 AM
2

So you don't believe that, but you certainly communicated in your response that you did since there was no implication that you didn't. Then you imply putting pussy on a pedestal is foolish or wrong of men but in your initial response you also say "that's an okay mindset to have." Hope you understand why one might be confused or misinterpret you.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 11:22 PM

- Please get off reddit and live life in the real world, you're deluded and too negative! - But you're right, women are more valuable The jokes in this sub write themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 11:02 PM
3

Yeah agreed. The main problem is we tell our men they need to be respectful and responsible first above all else and we bring up those areas if they say they are having trouble dating. Truth is that helps little or takes a backseat if you aren't tall, goodlooking, or rich, or charismatic, or have high status - men with those four traits can get away with being manipulative dickwads thus proving responsibility and respectfulness mean nothing, or at least much less.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 10:48 PM

Plenty of conventionally unattractive POS out there who pull like crazy or have women strung along despite the fact that they ooze toxicity because there are a lot of damaged people out there addicted to fee-fees like they are in a soap opera and drawn to the drama and conflict. I see it all the time. Doesn't really contradict the OP though. Men are taught to be respectful polite have all their shit together when this alone never works - and when it doesn't they are told they actually aren't res…

I suppose that makes sense. I just didn't know it was that common.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 07:32 PM

It's traditional gender norms, and a lot of women want it both ways (make good money and all the privileges of male gender without the responsibilities). But the gist of OP isn't correct, that's like saying men who think women should be prettier/more attractive than them are admitting women are superior. Gender norms whether you agree with them or not say men do and make their value through action status resources, women through looks.

In your personal opinion and from your observations why are your friends voluntarily and willingly dating men they consciously know aren't what they want or aren't a good match?

It's as simple as the "work on your personality" bit to use a mild example. Guy grows up being told the key to success is to treat women with respect and kindness, witnesses women around him admitting to each other that what makes a man creepy vs endearing when he approaches is whether or not he's physically attractive. Alongside similar experiences, the shaming and telling men to get their shit together, be less toxic, be a better person, instead of frankly "you're just not hot enough, lift and…

Nope, most men are raised with the blue-pilled notion women are "better" and more virtuous sugar and spice everything nice. A lot of it is trad stuff like women being pure and are to be protected, won over, etc. Then they grow up and decide reality runs counter to what they were taught. The question being, since no one's experiences with the opp sex are completely without difficulty, whether it's really justified. It's possible some guys react unfairly or immorally.
