Anyhow, that's where I'm coming from. If people are interested, please feel free to shoot me a DM.

I suppose the difference would be that I'd be using actual interviews with people from TRP community, rather than copy and pasting posts from the subreddit to build up my own argument, which seems to be the bulk of those articles. Seems like lazy journalism to me. My goal was to get a nuanced understanding of TRP based on the people who comprise it. As my original post stated, I don't have a conclusion I'm trying to reach here, just trying to let people self advocate.

It'd be nice to get a broader range of viewpoints.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that right now. I also want to note that the station I work for is pretty far outside of the mainstream media. I'm not here to pretend to be anyones friend, but I'm also not trying to troll or harm any reputations. If you want to have an open and frank discussion on the topic of TRP with someone who is more curious than combative, I'm interested.

Understand where you're coming from, though I feel like calling someone a zealot has never exactly helped to win them over. I think there's a lot of legitimate arguments being made by the MRA (ie custody rights, abusive relationships, rape perpetrated against men) that a lot of people on the other side of the aisle don't see because the public face of the MRA isn't always palatable to the way they communicate. Anyhow, I can see I'm not going to be of use here. I will find help elsewhere.

Just giving people the option to project their ideology/side of the story toward people who wouldn't otherwise get the chance to hear it. I understand your anxiety about speaking to the "media" and being misconstrued or misrepresented. I'm not looking for a strawman or anything like that, just someone who can explain why the MRA community has been under attack or feels marginalized. I think having an insulated community is fine and all, but wouldn't you like the chance to project yourself and yo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
