It would appear they think you're part of the problem.

It would appear so

I've come to realize most of the people on this sub think reddit is representative of the real world.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/26 07:33 PM

No, it isn't. I critiqued your cognitive dissonance and because you will do everything but admit it, you've resorted to straw manning what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/26 04:35 PM

I never made that point. It shows how much youve actually been paying attention to the conversation. You're just waiting for your next opportunity to post an emoji and meme. I guess you need pictures with so many words around.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/26 04:27 PM

Upgraded to using tired memes to pretend that makes your point better now. A point you've supported with nothing but emojis and memes. But please, tell me more about how an unsupported statement has credibility without making yourself look even more ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/26 04:22 PM

Add some more emojis so you can pretend it supports your point harder.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/26 04:18 PM

No, you can't. They are opposing ideas. Edit: to be clear, we are talking about the context of using it to refute the OP. You can say either one and it can be true. You can't say both and not contradict yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/26 04:11 PM

u/thatbitcha was successful in distracting you from my original point by attempting to focus on the definition of generalization. Had she been arguing in good faith, she would have addressed my point that you cannot say everyone is unique and also say that you can draw general conclusions about a population. I asked her which one is it because both can't be true. As expected, she never addressed it.

Bravery in men can be expressed in a different way than bravery in women. I don't think genders are tied to personality traits. Cognitive dissonance
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 11:13 PM

You essentially said most people don't go to sex clubs. HTH.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:54 PM

Generalize (Merriam Webster)- : to put in the form of a general rule : to derive or induce (a general conception or principle) from particulars : to draw a general conclusion from : to give general applicability to How is that not a generalization?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:40 PM

most people don't attend sex clubs. I'm going to assume you're arguing in good faith and ask the question you are dodging. How is the first and now second quote, not a generalization?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:29 PM

Maybe, or maybe it's the other way around. You haven't refuted what I said. Just saying "nuh uh" doesn't cut it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:20 PM

Thanks for confirming my original statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:16 PM

...in reality, it's not a large portion of the population.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:12 PM

You say everyone is a snowflake out of one side of your mouth and then appeal to a generality out of the other. Which one is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 08:08 PM

Used LMAO to cope instead of another tired meme. Very creative.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:04 PM

Like I said, you can't grasp the concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 10:27 PM

I guess you don't grasp the concept of having enough empathy to know when someone has been put in an embarrassing situation. Regardless of whether they recognize it or not.

You don't have to feel embarrassed to be embarrassed.

Someone posed this question a few weeks ago. Almost every woman said they don't think about sex unless there is a non-physical attraction trigger. I think this reinforces my assertion that reddit users and PPD participants in particular shouldn't be trusted to represent the real world.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/26 01:24 PM

They didn't make that assertion at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 03:58 PM

I'm going to need a source on gay men being attracted to women. That would be a bisexual...
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 03:35 PM
6

That behavior being insecure is subjective.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 11:36 PM

IMO, we should be pushing for women to stop those behaviors. Everyone should come as they are and stop the fake advertising.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 11:15 AM

You're just confirming what I said. Immediately try to call me a predator for calling you out on misuse of the word rape. Using hyperbole and ad homs to try to make your own points appear stronger.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 12:10 PM

You arbitrarily throwing around the term rape does a disservice to actual rape victims.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 11:34 PM

Great insight here
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 10:27 AM

I feel like the point you're trying to make is the physicality of men will become trivial, so men will be less needed, but I'm not sure. Mind expanding on your comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 10:24 AM

The simplest answer is usually the correct one
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 07:37 AM

Saying men aren't a monolith while actively trying to discuss men as a generalization is intellectually dishonest. Are you trying to have a discussion or do you believe everyone is a snowflake and are wasting everyone's time with the topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 07:32 AM

You're right. The OKCupid study did show men targeted the top women. I stand corrected. It is always a pain finding that study again, so for anyone in the future: https://gwern.net/doc/psychology/okcupid/yourlooksandyourinbox.html?hl=en-US

There is a difference between existing and being statistically relevant. Nobody makes population level determinations based on a singular data point. Except you, apparently.

Trying to pivot the conversation to whether the red pill offers mental health advice now? Anything to draw attention away from your inability to engage with the original point of blue pill grifting. Continued bad faith, as expected.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 12:37 PM

The same thing happens from the blue pill side. It's a problem for any amorphous movement.

Comparing physical health advice to mental health advice. How expectedly bad faith of you.

This isn't school. If you want to teach, nobody is stopping you though. I don't see many people holding hands on this subreddit, so you're in the minority on this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 01:39 AM
1

No, it doesn't mean they aren't correct, it just means they aren't able to actually get to the part where they prove their correct. It ends up being a waste of other people's time. If your definition of a lay person is a high school education, even high school English teaches you the basics of supporting your opinion with sufficient analysis.

Certain spaces aren't for people who can't articulate themselves properly. This has been the way of the world and will continue to be so. Just because there is no gate and these people can participate does not give their words the same weight as those that are better suited for debate. What you're doing is advocating for a participation trophy. It's hard enough getting intent across in the short format of reddit. It doesn't need to be made harder trying to decipher the words of people who should…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 01:28 AM

You were doing great until you started advocating for people who don't know how to debate to engage in debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 01:23 AM

Raw data from a reputable source, peer reviewed journals, meta-analyses, white papers, academic textbooks, encyclopedias, government reports, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 01:29 PM
1

Yes, I've been told to my face I wasn't tall enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 07:45 PM

If the hourglass shape is unattainable, by default, my point that you're trying to use a medium often used for embellishment that shouldn't be used as a reflection of reality is confirmed.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 07:28 PM

If you're healthy, anyone can have a crazy physique if you try hard enough. I don't think we need to get into the statistics of how many actually get there; which reflects actual desire. The point is that your analogy doesn't work because you're comparing a medium regularly used for fantasy that is disconnected from reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 07:08 PM

People make drawings that can reflect reality or be a caricature. This is completely disconnected from the range of people they are willing to date. Men draw super heroes with crazy physiques. Using your logic, they think the majority of men should be superheroes.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 06:53 PM

I personally think we should be pushing for women to be more authentic without makeup, not the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 06:49 PM

You would think you don't need to point this stuff out
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 06:47 PM
4

Some things you can prove. Some things you can't. That doesn't justify using reddit as a source, that's for certain.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 08:39 PM
2

So referencing worse data than anecdotal evidence is supposed to be a good idea?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 07:51 PM

I regularly see people on here referencing other reddit posts as proof for their opinion. Especially if it's one of those top 1% posters. It's sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 01:47 PM

You're an exception.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:59 AM

Being an introvert doesn't mean you never tried to directly approach women. It just means you're either not good at it or have scaled back because of being unsuccessful. Let's compare that to women, who most likely have NEVER tried, period.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:48 AM
6

I think you've now turned introverts into this caricature of a troll. They have lives. They talk to people. They're just not approaching women directly for relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:33 AM

You can say you like vegetables but if you never eat them, it doesn't matter. Actions speak louder than words. If you are never exposing yourself to introverts, you are not attracted to introverts.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:08 AM

Isn't a generalization a personal opinion?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:03 AM

She tried hard with that whataboutism and strawman
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:01 AM

Still supporting the OPs position. Women want men to approach so they don't have to. Inherently selects against introverts. They are attracted to men who approach. Introverted women don't have the same level of problem as their male counterparts because men aren't selecting for that behavior. Their attraction is not dependent on women approaching.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 10:54 AM

It’s not that they’re more attractive because of those traits, Anything that attracts is attractive...
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 10:47 AM

And my comment addressed that. Companies can and do already do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 06:53 AM
1

Also, what game are we playing where an analogy needs to be a 1:1 comparison in every regard. People always think they have a gotcha when your analogy differs by the smallest amount. As if that isn't innate to analogies.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 06:52 AM
1

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. What did you mean by... Most companies won’t spend money to not do something, that would be rather unprofitable What money is being spent to not do something.

How so?

The practice of having job postings open without the intention of hiring is well documented.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 01:25 AM

A strategy not working doesn't mean it isn't being implemented. Are you saying this sub doesn't have white knights because people with balanced opinions exist? It goes the other way too. Some people have balanced opinions that are pro men but get labeled red pill on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 03:05 PM

This. They will never admit it though. It's the same reason slaves used to betray their own. Trying to appeal to their owners for preferential treatment.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 03:03 PM

I agree with everything you said. I'm just here because I like debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 05:06 PM

I provided examples. I'm talking on reddit, not writing a dissertation. If you want to refute it, provide your own data showing they are focusing on only toxic or a minority of women. We made the agreement, stick to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 11:27 PM

Ok. I wanted to find quotes that specifically said most women but most of what I'm finding is references to women as a monolith. While definitely greater than the majority, it is slightly ambiguous and leaves it to you to assume whether they mean all women, some women, etc. I specifically found Rollo Tamasi's book, the rational male, to discuss "most women" throughout his discussions of PUA and female psychology. I don't think I've seen straight hate speech. You might think it's that, but saying mean things is not the same as hate speech.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 07:49 PM

Ok, I already know what I'm looking for but I don't have time to actually look right now, so could be a little bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:33 PM
2

So they can't be optimizing for the majority of women. I get that's why you said it. I was just repeating back your strategy And I dont see that shit at all. I have more proof they dont do it, but you called them trolls. Ok, since you want to be coy about it, I'm going to link some data. If you don't have legitimate sources to counter it, you concede. Deal? Otherwise. I'm not going to waste time with someone who is going to ignore the data anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:30 PM
1

So WTF are you doing claiming "The redpill is about optimizing for the majority of women". There ZERO PROOF of that actually happening. You're on this subreddit every hour, so I'm not going to waste my time linking the usual data red pillers talk about, like dating site data etc. You already know. TRP influencers also claim themselves that what they are saying is to target the majority of women, so at a minimum, that is the intent, even if there wasn't data; which there is. And we weren't talkin…

We aren't talking about feminism. We're talking about women. "People see" isn't a valid data source.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:06 PM

I don't know where you would get reliable data proving either way. All you can really go on is the TRP ideology, and the ideology doesn't preach bigotry.

There are plenty of topics that get started on both sides. I won't fight you on that. However, the downvoted and counterarguments are profemale dominated. Your point just means there are a bunch of people who think this is a fair subreddit, despite that not being the case when you drill into the comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 03:58 PM
1

You disagree because it doesn’t fit your “women are victims” narrative. See how unproductive that was.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 03:24 PM
3

I don't know what "with zero they do" means but I brought that up to point out that by saying red pillers mainly target toxic women, you are also saying the majority of women are toxic, because red pillars optimize their strategy to work on the majority of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 03:22 PM

People disagree with you, including me, and your evidence is to accuse male mods without naming them and saying trust me.

And is conservative. Most LGBT are liberal. So now we stop talking about majorities? You're just being lazy and can't or won't articulate your point. So now any analogy has to have everything exactly the same as what it's being compared to? Disingenuous argument. I've now watched the video. It was irrelevant. Just as I said. No, I still can't watch it and it's still irrelevant. It's been that way since the beginning. You're just being lazy and can't or won't articulate your point. Referencing redditor's for your source on reality is misleading at best and disingenuous at worst. Milo is the G in LGBT, just like your supposed bigot is your shining example of Red Pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 01:13 PM
3

Your video is irrelevant. I don't have to. A singular event with 1 individual as evidence against TRP is ridiculous. Milo Yianopolous is a bigot. I guess that means I just need to post him behaving that way to establish the majority of gay people are bigots, using your logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 12:59 PM
3

Again, I can't watch the video. Either give the full context or leave it because I can't argue against that which I don't know. Even if you found a guy calling a woman or trans a man, that still doesn't mean TRP actively preaches that as a strategy. Tenet, whatever you want to call it. It just means you found a clip of a bigot.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 12:26 PM
3

I can't watch your video right now, but I'm pretty sure a one off YouTube video of what looks like pop the balloon by the thumbnail, isn't going to move the needle on this topic. Also, I've never seen anyone in TRP preaching you need to be a bigot.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 12:13 PM

I didn't say they supported everything women care about. I said they were optimizing for the majority of women. Women say they support LGBT just like they say they support women's athletics. Look at actual support and ticket sales though. Look at actual support and LGBT rights constantly under attack with women as the largest voting block. There is a reason a fisherman doesn't ask a fish how to catch fish.

I gave specifics about compromised consent Your specifics didn't show physical threats, blackmail, or any other type of threat that could be enabled by a policy like this. The immigrant could, at any time, exit the relationship and there is nothing the other party could do about it that is enabled by this policy. Simply saying the person would have to return to their previous situation is not coercion. There are countless programs that require immigrants to return to their country when it has en…

I get it, there are bad actors everywhere. Saying there is the existence of bad actors isn't a counter for not doing something. Further, this is a discussion of whether it is coercion or not. The fact still remains, these are adults making the decision to move to a foreign country for a relationship. People make this decision WITHOUT government programs RIGHT NOW. There is no force and there is no threat for them to enter into the relationship or for them to leave it.

No, it's not clear. We are currently arguing about it. I never claimed it is. Nice strawman though. You literally brought up sex as an example. How much more red handed can you get. I don't need to bother defending what has been agreed upon by the US Congress and has been a part of the US giving immigrants an ability to chase th American dream since 1990. By the way, still doesn't fit the definition of coercion. Missing out on a beneficial opportunity in relation to your previous status is not being coerced. I'm no guru and I've been locked down and out of the game too long for my strategy to be relevant today. That being said, in college, the name of the game was house parties. Even if you barely knew anybody there, women lower their guard more because it's implied you are safer by virtue of being invited. People are already there to have a good time and be looser. I imagine this can still be achieved with local hobby groups. I only know what I actually lived though. Edit: I will also add, I applie…

You're right about that being the reality of a lot of women. That doesn't mean you have to play that game. Any woman who thought I was a second option was instantly relegated to non-serious relationship status. If that is all you care about, your strategy works great. I look for something more.

That doesn't extrapolate to being shamed for giving men a chance. It means what it says, choose better. Kind of like the thing you would tell a guy who tried to date homeless women. The reason they are homeless is most likely a huge red flag and the simple fact they are primed to take advantage of you is a red flag in itself.

You can acknowledge someone is past their prime without thinking less of them. Think of any hero or celebrity. Would you consider them lesser just because they can't do what they once did in their prime? Or do you acknowledge that everyone degrades, including yourself.

People like to reduce men to just lusting after young women. The reality is, once you are in a relationship, more factors are taken into account than looks. Will young people always be more attractive physically? Of course. However, just like your favorite shirt, you won't leave your partner just because she isn't what she once was. This is assuming we aren't talking about weight, which is usually in her control and an indication of other things going on.

This is a total non sequitur. Saying that men rape women purely because they hate them ignores a huge, basic fact, sexual attraction. Most men are heterosexual. When a predator commits a terrible crime, he targets a woman because that aligns with his sexual orientation, not because he is motivated by an ideological hatred of all women. To see why this argument breaks down, look at it like a bank robbery. A bank robber targets a bank because that is where the money is. They don't rob a bank bec…

No you can't, because the "majority of women going for the same small percentage of top men" is bullshit. You see what you want to see. Saying the digital dating market is totally balanced ignores how apps are built. Real data from dating apps shows huge imbalances. First, this is a requirement you invented from whole cloth. You're deflecting from the fact that your religious analogy was a bad fit. Religions are organized, centralized, and self-identified. You can laugh at the phrasing all you want, but accusing me of using AI is just an easy way to dodge the actual points. Let's look at the logic here. First, your comparison still fails. Red Pillers, MGTOW, and MRAs do not share a foundational text or a central figure. Jordan Peterson openly criticizes MGTOW, calling them pathetic, and Andrew Tate is roundly mocked by old-school MRAs for being a grifter who monetizes loneliness. They do not agree on solutions, methods, or philosophy. The only thi…

Your Christian denomination analogy actually highlights the core flaw in your argument. Seventh-Day Adventists and Presbyterians both explicitly claim the label of Christian, share a foundational text, and acknowledge the same central figure. The groups bundled into the Manosphere do not share an organization, a foundational text, or a self-identity. An MRA arguing about family court statistics in a legislative hearing is not operating from the same framework, goals, or texts as an anonymous tee…

I disagree with that take. Blue pill has a specific meaning. Generally someone who accepts mainstream societal narratives unquestioningly. It is naturally at odds with TRP. You can focus on how the OP structured their main statement. However, they framed the entirety of their post around the next two sentences after their opening statement: struggling to participate in dating versus struggling to get your ideal outcome from dating. I think we need to look at the intent of the words. Everything OP mentioned were not problems that existed outside of the initial dating phase for men. To the contrary, everything you listed were problems that exist for women either outside of dating completely or in the relationship phase. That is the difference. Think of it this way. If a rich man complains about how much he is being taxed, is it comparable to the poor man who isn't able to earn that amount of money in the first place? The pro…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 06:36 PM

Yeah, dating related. It also exists outside of dating though. That is his point. Men have dating issues that are strictly about dating. Not dating related. Dating centered.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 05:26 PM

Notice how you had to say car in front of accident, workplace in front of sexual, and sport in front of injury? It's because those are separate things when you don't add the qualifier. I see his logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:51 PM

I think your train of logic is flawed. TRP isn't for people who already are having success IRL. If you're already having success you don't need it and probably aren't seeking out advice on it. Like all online advice, it is sought out and used by people who have been unsuccessful or don't even know where to start.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 01:51 PM
5

You just described shutting down the whole subreddit
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 12:37 PM
1

A lot of men tried that before going to TRP and failed. I'm an interesting case because I already found out a lot of what TRP says through personal experience before I even knew what it is. I also see the toxic part of it very easily because of that same experience. For sure TRP has devolved to have people preaching the wrong thing. The same can be said of feminism and other movements though. I think it is just something inherent to large movements. You can't keep the crazies out.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 09:08 PM
1

Like you said, it's about more than self improvement. It's about understanding female behavior and how to operate in the dating scene with success.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 09:01 PM
1

TRP doesn't hate women. There are people who turn it into that though. By the nature of the pipeline. People looking for answers after becoming jaded by initial attempts are steered toward a darker world view. Influencers are more than happy to capitalize on this, just like any other movement.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 08:49 PM
1

IMO the self improvement is largely included as a means to support the dating advice. That is probably why you think it sounds so bland. You're right. There isn't anything particularly novel about it. I still don't see anything no true Scotsman about this.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 08:38 PM
2

You're going to need to explain how it is a no true Scotsman fallacy. Sure, some of TRP says is nothing new. Maybe even most of it. It's still packaged in a way that gained notoriety. Much in the same way equal rights movements were around long before BLM or feminism. Using your logic, neither should exist because the concept was already around.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 08:17 PM
2

Red pill doesn't say to forget about everything else. It's specifically focused on the dating world and self improvement.

Life is about more than sex. Being fulfilled in other ways makes you happier regardless of whether you're also having sex or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 07:59 PM
2

I disagree. I have females that are friends that I don't find attractive. I'm perfectly fine being friends with them as if they were the same sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 07:52 PM
2

Think of it this way. You're perfectly fine being close friends with those of the same sex. They even probably understand you better than someone of the opposite sex can. So why seek out a relationship with the opposite sex over the same sex? There is only one reason ...
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 07:41 PM
2

Friends can have deep meaningful relationships very close to a romantic one IMO
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 07:01 PM
2

Yes, living with a friend alleviates loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 06:59 PM

Thats like paying full price for a luxury sports car that looks beautiful in the driveway but has no engine. Sure, you can make it work, you can make anything work if you really want to, but it isn't going to be fulfilling.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 06:51 PM

A romantic relationship contains many things, to include sex. If you can't have a conversation without straw manning someone's position, perhaps don't engage.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 06:35 PM
6

That's called a friendship
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 06:11 PM
1

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:04 AM
2

No, you had to prove you actually know what you are talking about. The fact that you couldn't and immediately resorted to ad hominem attacks just shows to everyone the level of ignorance you're operating on.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:10 AM
2

You didn't define the term. So you've confirmed my assertion. You don't actually know. I will make it easy for you. the process of attempting to influence another person through the use of threats, punishment, force, direct pressure, and other forms of power. -APA Let's say I endorsed nagging, which I didn't. It still wouldn't fall under threats, punishment, force, direct pressure, or a form of power.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:07 AM
2

You have no idea what coercion means and are trying to engage in debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 09:55 AM
1

Where did I say to persist and nag? Again. Strawman.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 09:53 AM
2

If you are saying it is a matter of can't rather than won't, you can have a clear conscience on your end. Either way, your partner now has to make a choice of whether they want to stay in a relationship with a libido mismatch and they would be justified in leaving as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 09:52 AM
1

Where did I mention coercion? Take your strawman elsewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 09:49 AM
3

I think you're missing the point. Sometimes you can become aroused after the activity starts. You don't know if you don't try though. A partner who is unwilling to try is a selfish partner. An example might be going on a trip with a partner that they are excited about but you aren't. You liked it in the past though. If you go, you might like it. You don't know until you go though. Being unwilling to even try in a relationship is selfish. If you’re so sexually incompatible, just break up instead …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 09:07 AM
2

I disagree. Sometimes it takes for an activity to get started and you can get in the mood. If sexual activity with your partner is such an issue, it comes back to whether you should be in a relationship at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 08:28 AM
1

1 a week seems reasonable to me if people are busy but it isn't for others and I'm not going to say they are necessarily wrong. The issue is a large mismatch in libido and an unwillingness to try to adjust for your partner. Also, if you want to be in a healthy relationship, yes, you must compromise.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 08:24 AM
0

As you've said, resentment works both ways. That's why both parties must compromise. One might make an attempt to get in the mood sometimes. The other might use their hand sometimes. Always acquiescing to denial is unhealthy though. Shows a lack of commitment from the other person.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 08:17 AM
2

A relationship being healthy with only one party benefitting is a wild take.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 07:58 AM
1

Even if I were to agree, which I don't, that doesn't make it healthy for a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 07:54 AM
1

I agree. If this is happening, someone needs to reevaluate. It isn't healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 07:49 AM
-3

A relationship takes compromise. If you think engaging in an enjoyable activity with your partner is something you have to be forced into, perhaps you should reevaluate your commitment to the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 07:32 AM

Being offended that someone is not giving you their best has nothing to do with who the person is that they previously gave their best to. What matters is that they aren't giving it to you. They don't see you as deserving of it. I once found out my employer was paying someone who had worked at the same place for less time than me, more money. I was upset with the employer, not the employee. Same here. You are upset with the person making the value determination.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 01:43 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 07:24 AM

You said: Why do some men claim they don't hate women but do nothing to stop men killing and raping women? I said men do and gave you examples of such. That's it. You either have me confused with someone else or you're building a straw man.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 09:46 PM

What pivot? Violence is the only defense against violence. You've provided nothing to refute this point. Meanwhile, I have the entire history of humankind behind me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 09:44 PM

What do you think happens when someone brings violence to your door and you don't stop them? Honest question.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 09:37 PM

You stop violence with violence. What other way is there? You will never eradicate violence, it is human nature. You can only hope to beat it back.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 06:49 PM
7

We aren't talking about me, we are talking about men in general. If you think police and military don't stop violence I'm not sure I can continue a conversation with someone engaging in bad faith.

The McNamara fallacy requires complete disregard for which cannot be measured. That doesn't translate to basing your entire argument on the unmeasurable.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 03:49 PM

Because of people deciding to rely on rhetoric instead of actually backing up what they say. What you are doing.

It's not about liking it. You just failed to provide a counter argument in general. I will be fair, perhaps I misread your comment. Bring it forth again if you feel you still did.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 04:45 PM

Nice try at quoting it out of context. Here is what you missed: One of the biggest rebuttals people love to pull on here is the claim that “oh xyz men are in successful marriages”. Keep in mind many of these polls on successful marriages do little to actually interrogate the happiness of the couple. In the first three sentences, OP establishes merely saying the existence of marriages is not enough and elaborates on why. You had a second chance to read the OP and still failed.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 04:09 PM

That's a statement that doesn't support your argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 09:27 AM

You can try to fit it in a silo all you want. The OP was clearly talking about feminism holistically.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 07:21 PM

And still, you agree with his point that feminism largely feigns equality while simultaneously having the same lopsided expectations of men as pre-emancipation. At this point, I've tried to explain it all the ways I can. You've just decided to be disagreeable, despite agreeing. Edit: Just realized you're someone different. Point still stands.

Just because you acknowledge black people can be racist doesn't mean you don't "get" the systemic oppression part. They are two distinct things.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 10:12 PM

There is no nuance. The definition of racism includes beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. Full stop. There doesn't need to be a systemic backing for something or someone to be racist. It goes down to the individual level.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 09:38 PM
1

Being able to enforce your racism doesn't mean you aren't racist. It just means you have no power. Down voting me because I disagree with you, then claiming mental superiority while not even understanding the meaning of the word is rich.

Your logic doesn't make sense. Women are still using it as an insult. Using your logic, calling someone gay the F word is OK as long as it's because they are weird and not because they are gay. That's ignoring the fact the two things will go hand in hand a lot. The men not getting laid are often awkward. Using the awkwardness as justification is just a cop out.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/26 08:47 PM

I disagree. I think him sharing his personal experience in a debate is fine as long as it is on topic and is tastefully worded. You just think because it is associated with a dick that somehow changes things. If this was about his leg you wouldn't bat an eye.

You can say that, but that isn't what your previous comments say. You just use the word "you" when responding. Additionally, saying he is doing something other men do is still talking about him directly and still a reach, so it isn't the dodge you think it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/26 07:50 PM

Please explain how it is unnecessary to share your personal experience in a debate about dick size. Unless you are saying you just shouldn't debate about the subject at all. In which case, I would have to wonder what you are doing here.

After your further explanation of your logic, I think I see where our disconnect is now. When the commenter said she assumed 5% wants a relationship with her, I interpret that as showing the chances of finding a partner are actually slimmer than 5%, so it is a bigger problem than she is letting on. At what point does lowering your chances of finding a partner become absurd? I don't know. Less than 5% sounds like a pretty low number to me though.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 08:18 PM

I explained my logic for this before: By default, that 5% includes men who are not attracted to her, as you have no way of knowing one way or the other based on attractiveness of the man. Think of her 5 percent selection like a stack of lottery tickets she has hand picked from a convenience store. She said... If you find only 5% of men attractive, then you focus to filter through a smaller pool of men as the overwhelming majority was ruled out already. It's a lot less effort to filter through 5% of men than let's say 40% of men. She establishes she only 5% of men are attractive in the first sentence. Then establishes filtering begins at that 5%. By default, that 5% includes men who are not attracted to her, as you have no way of knowing one way or the other based on attractiveness of the …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:14 PM

The original statement says they are attracted to 5% of men. That necessarily includes men that are unattracted to her. Which invalidates your statement it can simply be ignored. It is already part of the data set.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 03:54 PM

I think we are still talking past each other. Whether it is an issue for the original commenter isnt what you refuted. You refuted the statement that they are assuming the 5% of men they are filtering from includes those that aren't interested in them. Where have you shown that this is not included? You cannot filter something that was not available to you in the first place. It would be like me saying I chose not to fly in the sky today, I chose to walk instead. It would be absurd. Flying is no…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 03:23 PM

Sounds like an accurate recount of events. I don't see where your analogy backs up your statement though. Filtering choices has no bearing on what choices are available to you. You can say you have narrowed down the pool of men to 5%. That is not a correct number if many of those men aren't even interested in you. Just like saying you've narrowed down your pool of houses you want to buy and include houses that aren't for sale in that percentage. The moral of the story is, the percentage you've n…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 03:05 PM

I don't see where you are pointing that out. You're stating the selection process. That has nothing to do with what is available for choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 02:46 PM

I think you are misunderstanding the statement. If you narrow down choices to 5% but 3% of that 5% isn't actually available to you, it isn't actually 5% you're picking from. It is 2%.

Why are you interpreting something I outright said in my post? You read something and you interpret it. The two go hand in hand. Where did I say I was talking about everybody? When you said you were talking about the subreddit. Because if you’re going to talk shit about me on my own post, I expect accuracy. You aren't expecting accuracy, you're just trying to change the narrative retroactively so you don't have to concede anything. Case in point, you referring to the subreddit as a whole and now…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 05:06 PM

You would have known that if you had actually read the post. That is what I interpreted from the beginning so I'm not sure what the point you are making is. Again, how does that translate to what you're claiming about me? I said all women because that's what the particulatr type of guys I'm talking about are saying. You didn't say you a were talking about a particular type of guy. You said you were talking about this subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 03:10 PM

Maybe I misunderstood, but it reads like you're listing a compendium of arguments from the subreddit. Is that not the case? If it is, you were saying that the argument that pops up in the subreddit is "ALL women..."

I don't agree with this. Change comes from the people who drive it, not from circumstances. The only way for people to gain traction with the masses is through charisma. Can circumstances make your ideas more attractive? Yes. You still need charisma to sell it. The Industrial Revolution exploited workers for thirty years without significant legislative change. If misery alone drove reform, labor laws would have existed by 1880. Change only occurred when Teddy Roosevelt sold it, through charisma.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 11:52 AM

Circumstances are always at play. Either you're charismatic enough to use them or you're not. Using your logic, literally anyone could have done what he did because of "circumstances."

You could just ask me what my opinion on it is but that wouldn't be conducive to your attempts to straw man my position. I will go ahead and answer the question you refuse to ask. Although the point at which asking for something becomes nagging is debatable, in my experience, once someone begins to nag over something, it is ineffective and I woul…

Talking about nagging is not the same as saying people should nag
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 06:52 PM

That's not what I'm arguing. I made that hypothetical because nagging is a common occurrence. You just need a straw man to argue against.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 06:48 PM
1

A hypothetical counts as me saying people should nag?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 06:45 PM
1

I never prescribed people should nag, nor did I opine on its effectiveness. Regardless, it is something both men and women engage in when in a relationship, for more than just sex. As a reminder, my point is that the efforts of the higher libido person should not be deemed as being any more or less ill intentioned than the other party.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 06:38 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 06:35 PM

But staying in a relationship with someone who isn't getting their needs met by you is being considerate and unselfish? Everyone has things they want out of a relationship. If you are in a relationship and receiving things you want out of a relationship from the other party, yet refuse to reciprocate on something important to them (assuming it is within reason), what else would you call that other than being selfish and inconsiderate?

Agreed
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 05:55 PM

Like we've been talking about, there is nuance. It most definitely can be a lack of attraction. Or it can be the other person's standards are unreasonably high. Neither party is necessarily in the wrong, which goes back to my original statement. You have now indirectly agreed with what I said for two comments straight. I'm going to close this out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 04:16 PM
1

I will also add, most people have a requirement for sex in their relationships. Just like most people expect emotional support, compromise, the sharing of resources, etc. These things have to be worked through if they aren't being met to someone's standards. Sometimes it can't be reconciled, sometimes it can.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 03:31 PM

Nothing I have said involved forcing yourself on someone. What a reach. You've just confirmed you have no intention of engaging in good faith. We don't have anything further to discuss.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 03:27 PM
1

I agree, there are a lot of men that stay in relationships they shouldn't. Just like women do. This goes back to my original point. It is just as much the woman's fault for staying in a relationship in which she isn't attracted to the other person as it is the man staying in the relationship. However, sometimes there are extenuating circumstances, like when kids are involved.

Coercion involves using a threat for this. It is also a crime. You're telling me you walk around assuming most people in dead bedrooms are trying to coerce their significant other for sex? Ok, and if you don't want to have sex with someone, they are not pressuring you by asking. You also have 3 options after saying no if you don't like them asking. Why is the person asking in the wrong and the other person isn't in your eyes? Isn't it just 2 people who have 3 options in a relationship instead of this blame game you're trying to play?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:38 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:13 PM

Can't the whole pressure thing be viewed in the opposite direction. The other person is pressuring you to have less sex and they are free to break up if they don't like having more sex? Saying someone "isn't allowed" is kind of pointing a finger at one party when both share in the outcome.

This is what happens when you allow people with no idea of what it takes to formally defend a point into a debate. They think the braindead standards they use with their other braindead friends is legitimate because they're too ignorant to know otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 09:39 PM

Someone made a generalized claim without data. You also made a claim without data, using even less specificity. Then try to tell me you need to have data to make a claim. I can't communicate with someone as disingenuous as you. Go learn how general debate discourse works before engaging in a debate sub or at least have enough self awareness to know when you're speaking outside of your knowledge base.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 03:26 PM

The fact you think a comparison is supposed to be a 1:1 equivalence says everything about why you also think pointing out an exception is a sufficient counter to a generality. I already did my best to explain a basic concept of debate to you but you're more worried about pivoting your own original point to avoid feeling incompetent.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:58 PM

That's literally what most discussions on purple pill are and is the ONLY way to discuss most of the topics on it. Not only that, You wouldn't even be able to have a conversation about most things at scale without it. Laws and so much more are based on generalizations. You're just wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:46 PM

Making a point using the fact that it's possible rather than probably is barely making a point at all. We are speaking in generalities. Using the word "some" is useless.

Men not fighting for joint custody is a whole different topic from chores. Women complain more than men, so self reporting of who does chores from women is dubious. /r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 11:07 PM

I agree with secret, your counter to his responses was to say you don't know what he is talking about. You pivoted several times (he did too, but less), and you generally are just here to say your opinion rather than actually being open to debate or changing your mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/25 10:28 PM

If a guy will have sex with you, he has physical attraction on some level. Like you said, he might not want a relationship, but he, at the very least, has some attraction. You're kind of making OPs point for him. Men generally have lower thresholds for physical attraction, so when horny, they have less barriers.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 01:44 PM

I've never agreed with the incel definition. As long as prostitutes exist, there cannot be an incel. It is likely they want more than that, to be wanted in some capacity. Even in a situation ship, you're at least receiving some type of validation, which an incel wouldn't have.

I don't think kinks are an exception, we all have them. You also moved the goal post, nobody is arguing whether an orgasm is about mental gratification.

Being wanted can be part of it but I don't think it is necessarily a requirement. Your logic doesn't explain kinks or things like the "R" word.

The topic is whether "pre-gaming" eliminates false perceptions and whether post nut clarity can be achieved by it. You just conceded that your mind gets something different from orgasm depending on context. Which means that there can be a difference. Defeating your original point that there is no difference.

You think a hand isn't different than a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 09:52 PM

As a woman ages she loses physical beauty (in 99.9% percent of cases). A 40 year old might think that her value hasn't diminished or act like it hasn't diminished but in reality it almost certainly has. A divorced woman who is 40 who most likely has kids, is not as valued as a 25 year old girl who has never been married. I hope we don't need to argue that point. Not to mention, at 40 years old, your pool of men who are 40+ who are not currently in a marriage is very low. The men who are unmarrie…

They think there'll be a point where they're more in demand than the women that are turning them down now are in. Doesnt seem like it was the point you were refuting, but OK. I agree that older women don't have zero options. The point is so obvious it's almost not worth mentioning though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 11:54 AM

You think women don't have equal opportunity to be physically worse off? Which hurts them more since men lean more heavily on physical attraction. All things being equal, a 40 year old woman whose looks have declined with age but has acquired more status and wealth has had her options decline more than a man who is the same. That being said, if we are talking about inherent value, women always win because there are just a lot of thirsty guys out there. Easier access to sex means easier access to…

I don't think this is the gotcha you think it is. You're talking about the extremes. A normie in their 30s who has had a steady progression will have more money and status as they get older. 2 important metrics women are vetting for. Their stock has gone up from when they were younger.

Having a female friend gives you more social credibility with their friends. They are your spring board to other girls. I had a lot more success when I figured this out.

At this point I think you're just upset I called you on not engaging the argument in good faith. Considering how you've engaged, I'm sure you'll respond to this so you can have the last word and "win" I got my answers, so I'm done.

Do you even take a second to realize it's possible to have a neutral stance on something and see both sides or are you so wrapped up in virtue signaling and being the moral authority that things are only black and white for you?

I'm not going to fight you on that one 🤣 That being said, I think other people share the sentiment of u/barely-moral in TRP
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 11:09 PM

Currently, u/barely-moral is disagreeing with you. So that is a false statement. Objective morality is a debated topic; so that the fact you think it's on your side and automatically negates their opinion affirms the fact that you think you are a moral authority. I'm not here to debate the concept of morality though. You've already answered my question about your moral stance as well. No need to derail any further.

I never said you can't or shouldn't give your opinion. To the contrary, that is the whole point of PPD. I was just wondering why you were speaking with such authority.

I'm not here to give my opinion. It's pretty clear you think you're the authority on morality here though. You answered my question without answering my question.

I'm not making a determination about whether the topic is immoral or moral. That being said, what makes you so sure you can engage with such smugness about whether it actually is immoral. There are obviously a lot of people who both agree and disagree on this subject.

Your response reinforces my statement that you're in a privileged position and can't see the forest for the trees. I'll rest my case here for the readers.

Using hyperbole shows your disingenuous engagement with the debate. Or perhaps you're just that out of touch that you think coffee for 2 people is $5. It's more likely the former is true. Coffee might work on the first date, but if it works out, people usually plan on having more than one date. The dating burden is almost always on the man. Finding people to even go on a date requires a certain amount of investment. Again, more than "$5" on a sustained basis.

You're speaking from a privileged position of not having to pay to play. It has substantial impact.

Why would you think a man's prime is 18-25, you need money to go out for dates etc. That is an age when people are still building their career, in college, etc. Women can get by broke, men can't.

You're saying contradictory things. You can't both not be getting hit on and also turning down men who only want sex. I think the person you are responding to is pointing out that some people don't get hit on at all and don't have the option to even turn away others. If you're turning people away and aren't actively pursuing others, being alone is on you.
