Being stoic can be a form of resiliency and can help others around you stay calm and unafraid, but being stoic forever because "men don't show emotions" is where it hurts us. 1	Men are responsible for male violence You're absolutely right. It's a natural impulse to want to hear something and respond with "Okay, what can I do? Wait, you haven't identified anything clearly enough" and that can be frustrating. Sometimes people ask for help and don't get the phrasing just right yet. They just know that they're afraid, or alone, or vulnerable, and they want help.
