Yea so If the 12k is the total spending on the child then should that not be split 50/50 regardless of the amount of time spent with the child? If no then you are effectively paying the person spending more time with the child for spending more time with the child. If 1 person got 100% custody then using your splitting logic the other parent would pay 100% of costs

I watched the program, 24 hours in police custody or something like that, the judge have her than sentence because it turns out she has mental health issues and was previously abused herself in the past. How tf does that make a difference though! She abused him and sent him to hospital before several times, hes been too scared to do anything about it until this time, then he finally agreed to help the police to press charges and then 6 days later he dies. Very fucked up.
