I am for real on this. Have you ever taken The 5 Love Languages Quiz? I score 1% on enjoying receiving gifts. It’s actually kinda a turn off to me to have things purchased for me and I’m a TERRIBLE date because I prefer to pay for either my share of dinner or the whole thing until I know I like someone. Otherwise I feel like an asshole. Hate getting gifts too unless it’s a lonnnngggggg relationship. I’ve never dated someone on the spectrum, that I know of, so I don’t have experience with it. Wha…

I haven’t ever thought about that. Would it be my preference? Probably not, but I know I’m an outlier when I say that if he loved me in the way I need it... I am willing to do a lot for someone who gives me what I crave/need. I would be willing to support him up to the point that he a) does something worthwhile with his time, b) plans for his own retirement somehow, and c) hopefully does eventually find some type of employment that makes him feel fulfilled. Example: I dated someone who was worki…

I agree with what you said and appreciate you standing up for women like us. I prefer to date men who are happy with whatever they choose to do rather than men who are happy with what amount of money they make. I make enough to support myself. The end. I don’t need and don’t want a man for any monetary reason. I would rather be with someone who made substantially less money but was happy with a huge part of his life versus dating someone who made a lot more and didn’t enjoy it.

That’s not always true. I’m pretty hot. Most often called sexy in real life. Confidence? It depends on the day. Sometimes I have days where it takes a hit. It’s when my loneliness and isolation is highest. I feel needy those days. My confidence is the least on those days. Nothing even to do with my appearance because I know I’m attractive. I still sometimes struggle with self image. I hate to say this because I know people will take offense, but I’ve had to pay for being attractive since I was 1…

You don’t know me and my life experiences. You’re entitled to your opinion and it seems that it’s fairly set. I know exactly what I need and I don’t lie to myself or others. I don’t. It’s okay if you think I do. I wish you and I both the best and I hope we both find some forms of happiness.

I know people believe this. That’s okay. I just don’t need to keep hurting myself by picking places where I have to see this stuff. I’m a good woman. I’m legit single and 100% faithful. No kids. I have a LOT of love to give. I don’t care what a man has or does. I just care that he treats me with love back and is honest. That’s it. I have two standards. Reading this hurt. I’m not a cow with expired milk or some bitter crone. Reading that men shouldn’t find me attractive because of my age or life …

While we are on the subject of dating advice, I’m dating, maybe, again for the first time in almost two years. No sex, no casual anything. How do I not accidentally catch feelings? I used to be damn good at keeping people at a distance... Now... I’m scared as hell to let someone in. I’m scared as hell someone is going to hurt me.

Boom. Also, I say all the time that I’m a huge asshole and I’m a woman. I own my fuckups, as best I can.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
