In fairness, that was the common sentiment at that time. WWI was still fresh and no one wanted to start that process over again. It was only after Pearl Harbor that the US decided to get involved. Even then, the primary enemy was Japan. Not Germany. Of course, you couldn’t fight one without the other, so off to WWII we went.

I work in tech as well and feel like we experience the opposite. The women talk incessantly, but not about solutions. It should come as no surprise to this sub that women are very good at spotting problems and voicing concerns, but solutions and progress come from the men.
