I'm not even gonna argue with someone who has decided he knows what I want and who i date based on my gender alone

True, I won't deny that. I'm not about to defend or denigrate my own gender, but I will say that I've been shocked and saddened by what OLD specifically has done to a lot of women. I've purposefully avoided it because I don't wanna develop a lot of those behaviors and beliefs. The problem is that OLD really isn't benefiting women either. I've watched my girlfriends become picky as hell about shit that doesn't really matter, and they're miserable because they wonder why they can't find anyone.

I don't lose it when men have their own preferences, I just think the hypocrisy of this particular viewpoint is amusing. As a woman with a low body count, I wouldn't even entertain the thought of dating or marrying a guy with a noticeably higher one

Anyone who has a high body count shaming those who don't, regardless of gender, is an asshole. Additionally, while guys on this sub tend to think it's always an issue of the woman having the higher N count, it's not always so. My bf, for example, is a few years younger than me and has twice the N count. It makes me uncomfortable- it's definitely not a plus. It makes sense to me that guys with lower N counts would want a woman with similar experience, because I think most people feel the same way…

As a woman, I'd say that a woman who makes you work too hard is not worth your time. I asked my current boyfriend out and planned/paid for our first date. Obviously, I expected he reciprocate the effort to show he was into me, but generally speaking, I find that dating is most comfortable when both people are putting in about the same amount of work.

32F here. A guy my own age without relationship experience might raise my eyebrows a bit, but honestly, I would just wanna know why. I think plenty of people don't have relationship experience for good reason, so for me it would be more of a yellow flag. A 24 year old with no experience would be less of a concern due to age. Honestly, I would be way way more bothered by the guy with a string of one night stands (or a past cheater) than the guy with zero relationship experience.

This, and the fact that studies like this do not apply to all women

Yep exactly. I'm a woman and getting over my current boyfriend's sexual history (that included a handful of ons) was difficult. I asked him his body count before he asked for mine. ONS are antithetical to my overall viewpoint on sexual relationships, so it makes sense that I would seek out someone who felt similarly. But I don't get called out for being sexist like men who ask the question do. Because as a culture, we've decided that it's normal for people to have a hoe phase and that we're just…

Yep 100%. My current boyfriend was kind of surprised I think when we started dating. Imo, he accepted far less than he deserved from the other girls he dated. Don't get me wrong, I know my value and expect him to treat me right- but it's a two way street in my mind. My goal (which I've told him) is that he always knows how much I love, respect, and adore him. And as long as he treats me the same way (which he has), I'm happy 😊

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
