A bear is 167 times less likely to attack a woman than a man is. 730,000 women reported being raped in 2018. Only 25% of rapes were reported in 2018. That is 1% of the population, 2% of the women in the country were raped in one year. Statistics It’s ok to be for “men’s rights” and also respect women and call out the bad actors when we find them. “Men’s rights” isn’t about bitching and moaning about the plight of men. Man up and be righteous in your endeavors. Man up and help other men to be bet…

Well since Ukraine keeps coming up, about 30% of their military force is made up of women. About 65,000 at this time. They are volunteering since they aren’t “trapped”. This is not the men’s right thing you think it is.

I think the big mistake with this question is simply are we talking about women from the smaller towns that seldom come in contact with random men at night? Or are we talking about women in the city who have to contend with city crime. I’ve walked women I’ve worked with to their car in the dark because we had creepers in the parking lot. Because a woman from another company in the building was raped in the parking lot after working late. I’ve driven women home who worked late so I didn’t have to…

Well that isn’t the same thing. Bear vs man is alone, in the woods, where a predator will get away with what they want, bear or man. At the zoo you are in public. Most women feel safe in public, depending on the public. The amount of groping that happens on very crowded public transit shows what men do when they are certain they can get away with it. That’s in public, in daytime.

Mine said the same thing. She really didn’t understand how it’s even a question.

Careful asking that 1 in 5 women have been raped. For 1 in 3 of those it was when they were 17 or younger. So 20% chance you’ll be asking someone that was raped and 6% chance they were raped as a child.

She took it way too far. A better question is “do you cover and watch your drink at a bar”? Then discuss why women do this and men don’t (mostly). But when women bring this up there are much better ways to interact. Statistics are good. Mildly joke about the type of bear (grizzly’s and brown bears will kill you, black bear can probably be scared off). 1 in 5 women have been graped 1 in 3 of those were between 11 and 17 (that’s usually a family member or a babysitter or at a sleepover) 1 in 4 men…

Do you know that there is a group on Facebook with over 1000 people who when they did their dna test they found out they were conceived through ince$t. There’s a reason that a lot of women hate their fathers. That’s one group. The uk government did a study involving dna and found over 7000 people who were conceived through ince$t. So you can imagine the number in the USA is probably 20,000+ Many of these people were adopted Maybe she was just thinking about how she’d like her brother or father t…

Of course not. 30% of the navy is made up of women. That’s volunteering. Data: https://demographics.militaryonesource.mil/chapter-2-active-duty-personnel Since 100% of the human race who have children are women i think 30% of any armed force being women is pretty awesome. Your next argument will be “where are the pregnant women in battle!”

This is about Ukraine. Women make up about 30% of the USA military. If you live in Ukraine then you can complain, otherwise you don’t have a dog in this fight.

Why would you expect the money you take care of your kids with to be deductible? It isn’t if they lived with you full time and your ex was dead, why would it be if they are alive? Tell me what changed?

It’s not that society doesn’t believe. Society knows statistics, if you can run a scientific study and come up with some different statistics then you can make a difference in what people think. Statistics don’t lie. Pepe just lie about what statistics mean. Answering bear is nothing of the sort. Is a hypothetical with hypothetical answers designed to induce conversation. But you’re so intent on cutting off the conversation that you’ve convinced yourself that all conversation around “bear” is us…

Let me say it this way, yes it’s hypothetical… but those are always interesting questions. A bear could be scared away. A man intent on hurting you, unlikely, in the woods, where he has 0% chance of getting caught, bet unlikely to be scared away. Since a large percentage of women have been sexually assaulted (usually by someone they knew) think how scary an unknown male is. They have no idea what their intent is, they have no idea if they are friendly or not. Helpful or not. Climbing a tree won’…

Yes there are bad women, but they aren’t the ones usually putting men in the hospital (you may have experienced something different). It’s usually men putting women in the hospital. A woman has a good chance of scaring a bear away. There’s almost zero chance of scaring a man away who is intent on hurting a woman.

I’m a man and I’d choose a bear over you. Almost 100% of the women i know have been sexually attacked by a man or harassed by a man. Truth is not explaining.

The Duluth model only works when the whole community is committed. My thought process over 30 years ago when marrying my wife and dealing with her ex was more the baseball bat theorem, which i think works 90% of the time when there is a known abuser. But she just wanted to move on… given what gained in following years (because if children) i should have gone with my gut instincts.

You don’t need approval but the common formula is take your age divide by two and add 9. That’s the acceptable youngest age you can date. If you’re forty then 20+9=29, If you’re 30 then 15+9=24 Look around, there are plenty of women with no children. Women in your appropriate age range, attractive ones. You’re just looking in the wrong places. There’s a guy at my daughter’s work who is slightly older than me (58) trying to date her… somewhat successfully. 58/2=29+9=38. She’s 8 years younger than…

Depending on what country and jurisdiction you are in you only have a right to defend yourself enough to extract yourself from the situation. The law is usually pretty clear on that.

I have to disagree 100%, I’m a foster parent and if i don’t parent from a “trauma informed” position then i am actively harming the children that are in my house.

The quote isn’t quite all that - “People ask me sometimes, when — when do you think it will it be enough? When will there be enough women on the court? And my answer is when there are nine.” And that’s the end of the quote, she went on to answer other questions. She’s not wrong. There are enough issues with men’s rights just in child custody cases that we should really pick our battles a little more carefully.

You would be incorrect: https://usafacts.org/state-of-the-union/crime/ Many more (by percent of population) poc are in prison for rape (every crime really) than caucasions.

Believe all women without hesitation can be problematic. Try to keep in mind that in the before times it was (to the woman) “you consented, you asked for it, you deserved it, you’re crazy”. So before it was “never believe women” (unless they said it about a black man) so the pendulum has swung back the other way. We’ve realized how many women (and children) were raped without any acknowledgment that it happened even though they reported it to the police, that we’ve decided to believe first until…
