Yes, and it seems to suit the topic well. It's from a novella called The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

"Grown-ups like numbers. When you tell them about a new friend, they never ask questions about what really matters. They never ask: ‘What does his voice sound like?’ ‘What games does he like best?’ ‘Does he collect butterflies?’ They ask: ‘How old is he?’ ‘How many brothers does he have?’ ‘How much does he weigh?’ ‘How much money does he have?"

You sound too lenient. I wouldn't want to lay my head next to a woman that most likely cheated on me and therefore the relationship would be over. And why are you giving her the gifts of you becoming "sharp" after she layed a huge deuce on the reIantionship? Also, I’d confront the guy, especially since this happened in a know social circle.

Quite thought-provoking. What do you think is the underlying reason for men being the ones "setting the standard" ?

I suggest using a separate account when posting in this sub, especially when interacting with minors. Or is it a deliberate tactic to lure people to your "content" ?

I think compliments, when used sparingly and given in an authentic way, can be great, especially when they're about things she has worked for, rather than just inherited looks and such.

That is actually a loss for single mothers. Knowing this "social-affective parenthood" and the potential liabilities, men will be even less interested in dating women with children.

Calling homekeeping slavery is just an exaggeration and a first world problem. Everything is paid for, you set your own work hours, and you can spend time with your loved ones while doing things for them. Honestly, unless you have a large homestead, being a house parent isn’t that difficult. And no, I prefer to provide for myself.

This! OP, definitely needs to find better people to hang out with. Also, we should remember that we live in a world where, depending on the social context and to a specific extent, everyone needs to prove that they are capable and can contribute. This is especially true for adult men, as children are judged by their potential, but men do not have that same allowance, nor the biological capacity to bear children as women have, and we typically are physically stronger so more is expected of us.
/r/MensRights06/09/24 07:05 PM

Yeah, the definition isn't specific enough. It ranges from an anthropological perspective, where a clan is controlled by a male, to a broader social system where men hold the most power, and even to a borderline conspiratorial view where men dominate every social structure and possess male privilege.

In the original post less so, yes, but I was expanding on the comment I replied to in terms of gender roles.

While it's true that gender roles are often shaped by cultural norms, I do think they most often reflect the differences in biologically acquired traits which differ between males and females.

Once again the comments in this sub show a cynical borderline incel or at best MGTOW atmosphere. Are you not a male human being, don't you want to experience the closeness of a woman and have a meaningful connection? Yes, feminism has ruined things and the general dating scene is out of whack, but I believe withdrawing is not the answer. Instead, advocate for your rights, set clear boundaries and support each other in navigating the complexities of dating rather than succumbing to apathy.

Or maybe Russia should just fuck right off another country's land? A man's life is the most valuable, but unfortunately there are injustices and evils in this world that have to be stopped. Russia is not stopping now and most likely will not halt conquest even if given land. It will continue to try and other regain territories and countries that once were under their subjugation, which in turn will cause even more suffering, rob people of their freedoms and lives.

I'm sure there are plenty of women that are quite reasonable with their expectations during war time. It is not wise to fall for such sensationalist articles.

After building rapport, get straight to the point: "Let's go do this/that. I'm available on these days/times. When are you free?" Might add some personal charm, but this is the core.
/r/seduction26/06/24 04:27 PM

Exactly. He prebaited and cast the lure but pulled on the line too quickly, likely spooking her. The best course of action would be to wait while continuing to add bait (since she clearly liked it). Cast again, but this time be more patient and let her show more interest before setting the hook with a firm yet smooth motion.

Probably mostly interested is superficial matters like looks, money and status, though I would't generalize, as I assume those are the types of women who would be more inclined to go for a fwb.

There are still women like that out there, so don't give up hope. You might need to reconsider where you're looking for them, and remember that, in a way, you attract who you are.

You do realize that there are many variables in life, and even if someone has their act together, achieving a very comfortable life may not be possible. This has very little to do with them being "losers." You're dismissing so many realities of life.

Well, that's a rather cynical and hedonistic outlook. By the way, marriage is at least as old as ancient civilizations. Its current form in the Western world has been most influenced by the Romans and Christianity. Historically, it has offered numerous societal benefits and just makes sense from a biological standpoint. However, in recent times, it has changed shape and, I'd even say, lost its value as an institution, which is why many people see it so bleakly.

I wouldn't see it in such black-and-white terms. There could be many reasons for her behavior: she might be tired, cautious, busy with work, or simply a bad texter. I've met women who seemed uninterested over text but were actually attracted to me, and vice versa. The best way to find out, after building rapport, is to...drum roll...ask her out!
/r/seduction10/06/24 09:26 AM
3

I believe it was perfectly fine to have a platonic text conversation, especially since you haven't seen her in a while. Contrary to the above comment, heavy flirting in this context might've even been a socially uncalibrated and off putting 😄 move. Well, perhaps something more subtle and playful would have been appropriate. That said, sooner rather than later you need to take it up a notch. The best way to do this isn't through one-dimensional text messages, but by asking her out and then escala…

Well this makes it a bit different, but what I meant previously was in the context of "let me go get the condom" as a undirect way of asking for consent.
/r/seduction02/06/24 12:02 PM
1

let me go get the condom Why do you need to explain yourself? I see that as putting the girl on a pedestal, she didn't just magically appear in the situation where sex might happen, her own actions led to that. Not to say that you shouldn't be considerate and thoughtful with your actions, but in a situation between two sane people where everything was mutual, saying that would give of weird signals.
/r/seduction02/06/24 11:14 AM
1

I did not say that men shouldn't take responsibility for respecting a woman's boundaries. The responsibility of consent is on both of them. I emphasize the "normally" part in my first response - if the girl is collaborative and is also escalating the interaction then I find it unnecessary and frankly just silly to directly ask for consent.
/r/seduction02/06/24 10:59 AM

I'd like to add that "rapey" is the dumbest word, it both trivializes the nature of sexual assault and gives a false impresion of being something that you can just casually say, but in reality, using it associates the named person with the heinous act of rape.
/r/seduction02/06/24 08:02 AM

Don't throw around serious words like that.
/r/seduction02/06/24 07:27 AM

Eh, they can accuse you of assault either way. It's simple - if a girl doesn't want to be in a position where she normally might be kissed, then she should just not be there. Why do we as men always have to take the burden of responsibility. It's a two way street, there are certain roles we have to fill, but girls should carry their weight too and not act like victims and that things just happened to them.
/r/seduction01/06/24 10:59 PM

Yeah, totally. I wouldn't agree on becoming the campus creep, but it's completely normal for older men to find younger adult women prettier, for obvious biological reasons at that, and vice versa. Adding to that, I've had contact with plenty of immature older women so, knowing this, I prefer women a few years younger than me (31). This social stigma is made by salty people (that I see as the same people that frown upon seduction techniques and theories around it) and these haters, newb commentat…

There is an implication that women can't be as close to, or just as bad as, the sex offender. They very well can be, and the frightening thing is that, knowing the general female nature, I could guess that they are more covert about their sinful character. It's plausible that a significant portion of those who were drawn to the guy shared similar traits, as the saying goes, "birds of a feather flock together".
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 07:06 PM

I think this is fine if both are kind of obsessed, but from my anecdotal experience even though the girl is interested I've got to be the one that moves everything forward, gets tiring tbf and I tend to be the one that fades out of the communication. But when comes a girl that has some initiative - man, that's a breath of fresh air.

Internet is mostly a visually based medium so it's obvious that in online dating there will be more value in appearances. There are many more aspects that come into play in real life interactions.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 08:59 PM

All you have to do is accept what you can do - what you can improve. You can make yourself more attractive in ways other than looks and even with appearance you can improve a lot.

It's not complicated if you're good at it and there comes in pua/seduction which spells out the interaction nuance that comes hard for some of us. So OP simplifying things like that is not really a fair thing to say. Edit: I can agree that you don't need some cringe pua lines. Also it's true that it's better not to overthink it once you are in a date, but that comes with experience.
/r/seduction16/07/22 04:47 PM

Dude, you have elaborate posts about online dating or whatnot and I'm overthinking. That by itself shows that just casual approach is not enough.
/r/seduction16/07/22 04:10 PM

You've probably maxed out other aspects of your game that you don't really need that much specific pua or you just do it not being aware of it.
/r/seduction16/07/22 04:02 PM
2

Those methods are for casuals and they are just fine, like op presented, but if you want more success you need a more advanced approach other than normal convos. There is a reason this sub exists.
/r/seduction16/07/22 03:43 PM
1

Yeah, not that simple, sounds more like you trying to be her friend. If the the girl really likes you and is less reserved then maybe this could work, but usually you need to build rapport and attraction with her.
/r/seduction16/07/22 12:11 PM

Well, we can call it whatever we want, but if it’s sex, then by nature it isn’t casual. Sex has consequences, both psychological and biological. For goodness sake, you are giving your body the impression that you are reproducing, wouldn’t that have an impactful effect? We as a society with our technological advancements have lessened some of the consequences that comes with it and that makes us foolishly think that sex can be casual - that it can be just entertainment. Jumping from partner to pa…

That's the gender dynamics difference between men and women. If you are seen as a valuable and a desirable male then it's easier for you to get to the physical part of the relationship (I suppose the other way around is also true).

I'd say hit her up like nothing happened after a few days or so and invite her to a date. You have nothing to lose here, maybe it's a situation that has turned in your favor, knowing that they most likely talked about you and she could be curious after that. Just a guess, but you never know. If she doesn't reciprocate after the second message then, yeah, move on.
