I can't understand what you can't fathom. You are pretending not to know what the word "comforting" means. Here is the dictionary. Go look it up. Reality is unchanging, unwavering. If I can't be a pro basketball player because I'm too short, then maybe I wasn't meant to be a pro basketball player. Feeling sad doesn't change that. Comforting me by giving me hugs and telling me that I can still do it, isn't going to change anything. Getting out on the basketball court may help. Trying out for a di…

Isn't helping someone solve their problems/work through their emotions "comforting" them? No. It's the cold reality or explaining that they should get over their feelings and move on. What are you referring to when you say "comforting?" I didn't actually use the word comforting; it was given by this feminist meme. So whatever it is referring to which isn't "solve your own problems."

This is a feminist narrative that males are programmed by society to be the way they are. Not to mention that it's some weird false dichotomy. What if tearful little boys were neither shamed nor comforted, but taught how to solve their problems. Because as a man, this is the correct way to deal with feelings... use them as a motivational tool rather than just moping within them.

It's a feminist loyalty oath based on gender not dissimilar to: On March 21, 1947, concerned with Soviet subversive penetration and infiltration into the United States government by American citizens who held oaths of allegiance to a foreign power during war time, President Harry S Truman instituted a Loyalty Program, requiring loyalty oaths and background investigations on persons deemed suspect of holding party membership in organizations that advocated violent and anti-democratic programs. ht…

Some feminist troll asked me for "peer reviewed" evidence of behavior differences on this very subreddit. It's as if she didn't have google. But here's a start if anyone wants it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2854822/
/r/MensRights18/08/15 06:35 PM

There is no irrefutable evidence to suggest that men and women are wired differently, not in neuroscience, not in biology, and not anywhere on this planet. Holy shit, the dumb that goes with that.

It's unclear what you are asking. Have you ever used Google Scholar? Here's something from that: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=Richerson+boyd&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C22
/r/MensRights14/08/15 03:08 PM

I am disappointed because it doesn't bring up Nature/Nurture -whereas feminism asserts that every difference between genders is because of some vapid patriarchy conspiracy. It's never good enough to point out that men and women just like different things because we have a genetic predisposition to like different things -it's got to be socialization and only socialization.

I think these types of 'outrage videos' also detract from the very real pain of the victims. I mean these harpies are basically saying "look at me". Fuck them lets talk about him "The convicted (person) viciously deprived me of part of my life and identity," the ex-husband told the court. "Then, as is routine in cases of violence that involve something sexual, the victim must endure, at the hands of the defense, a second attack. This tweet makes no sense. Is the publisher called "Small Press"? The question I have is who is their target market for these books written exclusively by women? Obviously it's not me. I'm okay with this. I mean it's their business. If they have a target market that only wants women writers then have at it. Even though, you could have people of any gender writing under a pseudonym a la Ellis Bell/Emily Bronte.

The whole questionnaire is context free. None of these "activities" happen without context. They constantly frame it has having a context of "consent must be explicitly declared." But there are contexts when consent is given implicitly and not explicitly. For example, when my ex-girlfriend went down on me in my sleep -it was nice. However, there are other contexts when it is not nice. So the correct answer to the whole test is to crumple it up and throw it out. It has pretexts that are full of s…

You are a troll because you just completely ignored what I wrote. The reason that men get in more car accidents is the same reason that there are more male CEO's and politicians: men take more risks. Typically, feminists only complain when it doesn't benefit women (fewer women take risks in business and therefore don't reap the rewards) but in this case I'm going to side with the actuaries. The law is stupid.

So DNA stores "protein-encoding" and that's the depth of it? No language-no facial recognition... Where have you been getting your information from?
/r/askTRP08/03/15 06:40 AM
1

When you say that culture isn't stored in DNA... It's ambiguous about what you mean. Humans are social animals. We carry behavioral predispositions towards certain interactions with others. Now a specific culture isn't inherent but behavioral predispositions exist. If you want, I can cite some sources when I get home
/r/askTRP08/03/15 12:16 AM

Having a cultural identity is absolutely a genetic advantage... it's not just with astrology -it's also with the funny way that your friends talk or special recognition that you get for being a contributor (reifying). When part of a group, accepting their beliefs makes you one of them and they will support you. One for all and all for one.
/r/askTRP07/03/15 11:33 PM
1

Yes, think of people in a tribe. The village witch-doctor tells all the men to go to war because the time is right. If this 'astrological gullibility' were an inheritable genetic trait then the skeptical men could possibly live and pass that trait to their children. But astrology is more than just a 'system of rules' -it binds people culturally. For example: Sumerian astrology was different from Mayan astrology. So while the men of the tribe were skeptical of the village witch-doctor, the women …

here's the refuting argument: That's all I'm saying. I have about 3 books on evolutionary psychology and his argument that men reject sluts because they have chimerical dna in their wombs is rather contrived too. None of my books say anything remotely similar. Personally, I don't feel that way about women that sleep with a whole bunch of guys... so perhaps his reasoning is a bit off when he makes a generalization about how we are supposed to feel.

It is correct, that the assertion was not backed up at all. However, s/he didn't ask for more evidence -merely made the claim that finding something discussed on another subreddit automatically makes it wrong. /r/MensRights06/03/15 04:05 PM

That's not completely satisfactory because there is a statistical difference in the number of women that believe in astrology versus the number of men. My personal hypothesis is that it is something ingrained that might have led to some child-rearing advantage. But then I'm asking other people what they think.

I guess the 'outrage' is that if genders were reversed -a defense lawyer could not take this tack. S/he wouldn't even think of 'blaming the victim' for their rape. And if s/he did, there might be furious internet feminists triggered into writing something harsh on the internet, probably about the mythical 'patriarchy'.

All these social justice theories do is posture. They don't solve anything. They don't solve racism, sexism or classism. They don't do a damn thing and they aren't rooted in anything real. It's a shame really, because I can agree with their goals which sound like platitudes: racism is bad, sexism hurts etc. But their ideology is just plain contrived and stupid.
/r/MensRights30/01/15 03:48 AM

I hate this idea and this nomenclature that we borrowed from Social Justice Warriors. You can't tell if someone feels privileged by determining their gender. Some people act entitled and others do not. If you want to assert that all females are privileged then consider Christina Hoff Sommers or Karen Straughan -who clearly aren't part of some sexist agenda.

/r/MensRights28/01/15 11:29 PM

/r/MensRights28/01/15 10:21 PM

Is what misleading? The thing that you missed is that it was parallel to feminists saying that 'society should teach men not to rape'. Nevermind that most female on male sexual assaults are never reported or that police won't take it seriously anyways. But who's fault is it if women are the majority of single parent households? Ever try to get custody as a single father? Feminists claim that this is because of the "patriarchy" but will also fight to maintain that privilege that women get.

Every time I see this crap, I remind people that special snowflake feminists are not the only people who get death threats. Penn and Teller: 'We compare death threats with Richard Dawkins' That it is common with anybody who has a public image raised to the status of 'celebrity'. With feminists though, they ascribe a "special purpose" to their alleged death threats. That is these death threats only matter because they are women.

I have worked in Software Development where the head programmer/system architect/Manager would typically wear a torn Grateful Dead t-shirt, shorts and sandals. An (objectively attractive) female coworker would also wear a tight shirt, daisy duke shorts, fishnet stockings and Doc Martins boots. In tech fields it is "work appropriate" to not dwell on what someone looks like and/or is wearing but rather the quality of their work.

It's territorialism. Feminists belong to a cultural identity that asserts some hypotheses about society. They assert that there should be rules which everybody should obey. I think what is absolutely disgusting is that Feminist Moderators at TIL actively seek to repress facts rather than allow people to see them and discuss them. It's as if their argument for feminism is so weak that it can't even sustain bringing up a FACT that flies in opposition to their BELIEF.

One thing that seems very consistent with these idiots is that they are constantly redefining men's issues so that they can knock it down. It's the non-stop strawman of "you want" I find it a little tedious.

I think what is really stupid from this "Down-worthy" comic is that she uses twisted doublespeak to justify her behavior. It starts off by saying that feminism supports men through vocalizing it's hatred of men. I personally reject any and all claims of "group privilege" for two reasons: It denies the individual experience of someone that isn't "privileged". It shifts the focus away from the actual victims of discrimination onto another group or class. It treats injustice in a privileged way; th…

Although I couldn't find this stock photo there seems to be a lot of them example1 example2 example3 Although we know the feminist histrionics when the roles are reversed, do we really believe that the proliferation of these images and their acceptability in society actually affect societal attitudes? I mean this is the problem that I have with "feminist theory" -media is media and doesn't have an affect on values but rather are a reflection of it.

Feminists have successfully (and in my opinion deliberately) smeared the men's rights movement so that somehow Warren Farrell is a supporter of rape; all MRA are misogynists and anything having to do with men's issues are not important. They've actually been very successful.

I've always been curious about this. Feminists smear anything that men enjoy as somehow being against women. Like: http://www.snopes.com/crime/statistics/superbowl.asp They go so far as to deliberately mislead people (aka other feminists) about facts that support their lies. What is it about male entertainment that so infuriates feminists?

Now the feminist backlash includes "Anonymous" accusations over YouTube claiming (what else) that he is a rapist. They push the lie that feminism is an equality movement and not a belief in a "patriarchy" conspiracy. Any observation of such is an attack on all women (misogyny) and not worthy of serious discussion, until it is.

The problem is that there are far more false convictions than the ability for some organizations to fix them. What would be interesting if there was a random sample of prisoners taken large enough to go through each prisoner's case history and determine which ones are fit for possible exoneration. Then go through and follow up and see which ones are exonerated. If our hypothesis is proven correct, then a statistically greater percentage of men would be exonerated from the original random sample.…

You know, that is a good question. Apparently they don't give this information out but overall -it's 92%. Apparently the NRE feels it's okay to show that there is a bias when prosecuting minorities, but not okay to show that there is an overwhelming bias against men. This only scratches the surface btw. For example, we know from other data that women get lower sentences for the same crimes. It's my belief that police will target men because there is less sympathy for men within our court system.

False imprisonment is a men's rights issue. I seriously wonder if the "Women are Wonderful" effect is causing police, prosecutors and juries to overlook obvious suspects or perhaps make men just look more guilty. From the Article: As of mid-August 2014, the Registry included 1,408 exonerees: Sex: 92% men; 8% women. Race: 47% black; 40% white; 12% Hispanic; 2% Native American or Asian. Trials and Guilty Pleas: 82% convicted by juries; 7% convicted by judges; 10% pled guilty. Crimes: 46% falsely c…

This woman is a first class money grubbing liar. According to the marital agreement, Justine would receive approximately $20 million dollars after tax, half in the form of the house and half in support payments. Prior to the divorce trial that she lost in early May, I had offered her more than double that number as a settlement, which is roughly equivalent to a pre tax income of $80 million. I also said that if there was any worthy cause that she felt deserved attention, I would be happy to give…

The problem is that "keeping frame" and giving her what she wants is actually an incentive for her to keep up the "playful violence"... though no doubt she was turned on by the spanking, she's going to continue to act out in order to get attention. Also Princess Tania isn't very hot. I wouldn't want to get involved. Invulnerable or not, if she hit me - It's best to ask to talk to her outside, then lock the door and walk away.

A tailored suit is about as dominant as you can get without wearing a uniform. There were studies done on human territorialism which found that people take longer doing things like pulling out of a parking space if they feel that they are being rushed. What's interesting is that if there was an expensive car waiting for the space -then people did rush. So I'm going with money. Anything that makes you look like you've got a lot of money.

Sorry for my late reply. I'm like busy with work and such... I think what clicks for you is the lack of empathy and compassion for men. I respectfully disagree that it is more important than all of our experiences. We as men should also celebrate our differences. Compared to women in general we have a better spacial cognition, we are on average, bigger and stronger -not all of which need empathy or compassion. I guess the argument that I'm making is that feminism demands empathy and compassion b…

In all honesty we had better, if not more offensive words for misandrists. I think "man haters" was a descriptive term. Since then, feminists have allowed, accepted and encouraged man hating among their ranks -we've had to come up with a more acceptable term even though they don't accept it and in-turn don't recognize it.

This is human territoriality which is that human beings want to establish the rules over other people. If the rules are not adhered to, then a punishment must be established. By our very nature, men feel the need to establish dominance over other men. Our territoriality isn't limited to physical spaces but also goes into the realms of intellectual debate. I've done some graduate studies on this and perhaps I'll post more detailed links later. This is why men (not women) make up the majority of v…

It says that the barbershop specializes in straight shaves and my guess is that a significant portion of their business goes with this service. They make money from men, not just getting a style of cut but also because the services often include a shave. It's hard not to bitch. I support a particular men's issue: prostate cancer. Yet look how feminists have made breast cancer into a feminist issue and realize that they've also circumvented research dollars into the particular form of cancer that concerns them. What this means is that feminists are keen to exploit the common belief that men are disposable for the gain of their gender. Where things like funding for cancer research may not be truly a 'zero sum game' because often curing one disease…

So why produce a tool that is specifically for women only? (I know that some men use nail polish but it's not a social custom and rare.) The history of slipping someone a Mickey is mostly about male victims. Even with this new batch of drugs it happens to both genders. We as a society only care if it happens to women. Male victims are supposed to "suck it up" because if they are victims then they are "whining". AS far as the feminist complaint: they are happy for the attention and trying to use …
