Most of the counter-arguments are rejecting the logic that the percentage of women in STEM is proof of the barrier because they 'feel' that women choose not to enter STEM on their own volition and not because of systematic issues. They like the idea of having more women, and they'll interview any woman who applies but when it comes time to actually make a hiring decision they will often choose the man and rationalize it in other ways. 1	Get rekt discrimination or whatever. I'm going to assume you have a very limited understanding of labor law, so you probably shouldn't be making such broad statements. You would not be sued for discrimination unless an employee, 1. Knew the salaries of everyone in the office. (Very rare). 2. Could prove in a court of law that there was no reason other than gender for the disparity. 1	Where's the line between being persistent/showing interest and being desperate/creepy? There's an uncanny valley effect at play. If you are forward enough to make her uncomfortable, but not forward enough for her to make a comment about it and relieve that discomfort with humor then you are in a tough spot. Also, don't meet her more than half way. Stand firmly at the midway point, but don't try to meet her all the way there. 1	[Woman] Where and how do I find quality men? Everyone is talking about seduction techniques which don't single out a certain type of individual except by attractiveness (Remember that HB9 and HB10 are common terms around here for anyone who disagrees).
