Sounds like she personally has issues, but not all her fault. I get the whole wanting to help someone close to you out, especially when there's romantic feelings, but those were some red flags with the multiple separations and immediate rebounds. And as an aside, it's okay to feel bad about losing a parent and being emotionally vulnerable, that's not weakness. I'm sorry to hear your mom! Losing a loved one will always suck :o(

Tinder is very psychologically manipulative and makes choosing people a game. Hooking up is entirely playing the odds, getting the best result possible. Tinder just made it easier/harder for women, since every single dude is going to swipe right irregardless, and get a flood of right swipers. Of course the person would want to get the "best score" possible in that space, and oh boy. We sure as hell let the external environmental factor in on how we choose. We as humans always make the emotional …

Sex isn't the end all be all. Once you have it, it won't matter as much, trust me. I've been exactly where you are, and as long as it isn't the sole reason for your existence, getting to know a girl becomes way easy since they don't feel your desperation seeping out of every pore.

Find some better company, man. NAWALT, this is just a shitty character trait. I've meet men who are exactly like this and if you cut ties to these people and find some people with an actual conscience, it does get better.

Maybe find better people to hang out with? I don't think that's an issue that's inherently female. I definitely know a lot of guys who have nothing more to offer than their bodies.

Basically, OP is projecting how he sees himself using dating apps onto how women use the app because he can't get any hits.

It means to throw insecurities or perceived aggressions onto another person as a defense mechanism. Like, for example, if two people were arguing and one was calm, the other livid, the livid one would say that the calm one was being unreasonable or angry

The dude on the bottom's picture is wider than the other two women's picture, and the fourth is probably there to keep the pictures relatively set in the same space. It would look weird if there was one wide picture and one less wide picture on the same level, it's just how it was edited, not really anything else.

Can you project any harder than you are already? I don't think you can.

So you're saying that you wouldn't want help, or at least notify a random stranger if you noticed someone bigger/stronger was following you? That's pretty strange.

This is obviously someone going through a rough breakup. When people have their expectations broken as such, they aren't necessarily in the right mindset. When you said, "Only guy she'd ever had sex with, kissed, etc. During this time she used to tell me she could only ever have sex/do sexual things with someone she was in love with. That she could never fathom just sleeping around, that she was a "relationship" type person, etc." it sounds like she was expecting it to last a lot longer than thr…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
