Then they should be asking to be paid the same as the men. The men are being more aggressive in asking for raises, a documented phenomenon, so they get paid more. That’s a different stat though. The 75% stat states that women earn 75 cents on the dollar as men which is disengenuous because women aren’t being offered the same job at a 25% less salary, but rather that female dominated fields aren’t as high paying. Saying a nanny deserves as much as an engineer while allowing unlimited PTO is silly, but it’s the only way to fix this useless stat.
