I’m speaking more to the government as a whole, but it’s still an easy answer. The IRS creates financial inequality by only cracking down on us peasant folk, but somehow we as a society know of countless elites that evade taxes one way or another but are never pursued. In his defense, it is a fair question. To say there’s NEVER a reason for someone to hit someone else destroys everything leading to that moment, and context is kind of everything.
