Schopenhauer was like that “it’s probably a tumor” kid on kindergarten cop. He was cynical about everything.

Windmill Flowers 2.0 Also Schopenhauer was right in his own way. A lot of male observations about women and romantic ideas are clouded by hormones.

Because the people who “campaign” for stuff like that are usually frauds That’s why the “anti racism” people get caught saying racist stuff, the “feminist ally!” types turn out to be creeps and the “Christian anti gay” activist groups usually have gay people high up in the org lol

Let’s face it, most guys already do this w/o even thinking about it. Redditors are just a bunch of autists though so they have to make a spreadsheet or peer reviewed study about how they banged a fat chick because they were horny/desperate etc.

The “Personality” arguments on here are always hilarious. It just goes to show a lot of Redditors are either kids or adults who’ve never really dated or had relationships.

I think it’s probably worse because guys will say “no” out of embarrassment etc

I kind of doubt it. On Reddit maybe it’s common to read dumb shit like that but Reddit is not real life.

Seems like a strawman, very few men hate womens romance novels or are even aware of them tbh women are more likely to make fun of the industry. If I had to pick something guys hate it would probably be mainstream romance movies/trashy girly RB type music. It also needs to be said that romance books are basically porno for women so they range from normal to rule34 type stuff.

This is something most (read:MOST lol) people understand at an intrinsic level. BUT I get what you’re saying because people gave me the same treatment when I was young. Telling me to try harder and be more confident and all that other BS. Like kids would tease me or rough me up in high school and my parents would tell me that I had to “learn how to be friendly”. And forget about girls that didn’t happen until college lol.

As a guy I find that if they’re attracted to me then I’m polite, smart, funny, sweet etc. However if it’s middle attraction then they pick out little stuff to get mad about, I’m annoying obnoxious dumb and can’t do anything right. So maybe that’s what you’re finding OP.

Well Reddit isn’t real life also it’s an echo chamber esp politics sections etc so not a great example. My guess is someone that is legit autistic (and if unlucky ugly) their early school/dating experiences were terrifying. Like constant bullying, being ostracized and/or voted ugliest guy in high school (cough lol cough). And they likely didn’t understand why it was happening because they did all the stuff they were told to do. So yeah their posts will be occasionally out of this world. On the o…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 01:05 AM

OP Normal women aren’t disgusted by mens desire. Quite the reverse actually. The kinds of women who make those “all men are rapists who only want SEX” posts aren’t the type of people you want to date, and it’s rare to meet them in real life anyways.

OP-> Modern media is specifically designed to “fry your brain” and always has been. And it’s not just dating it’s everything. About ten years ago I unplugged from almost all media except some Internet forums - no more Facebook, the IG is just pics of jobs I work on, no satellite TV or news - and when I talk to friends and relatives it’s like speaking with insane people. Whether it’s popular stuff, or news stories, or whatever they are always out of their damn minds.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 05:50 PM

There’s a war against beauty and masculinity right now. All the people mad about Sydney Sweeney in that jeans ad (a ripoff of an 80s one lol) and the push to make “pretty” game characters ugly. Add a bunch of bizarre/ugly/gay characters. And if you speak truth to any of it you will be attacked.

They can’t ban it nationwide. I don’t blame you for thinking that way because most people have zero idea how our system works lol. They might ban it in a really really conservative state but otherwise they don’t have the numbers.

I’m trying to imagine the typical “Redditor who has never had a girlfriend” looking for a “practice girlfriend.” Sounds like a Ben Stiller movie.

Nothing wrong imho just a different cultural way of going about it. From what I’ve seen it’s usually family members trying to make the introductions more than anything else. Statistically our enlightened western dating habits aren’t great either. We have tons of broken homes it’s not our place to throw rocks at other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/25 03:00 PM

That’s because most men don’t get lots of women. They’re not able to date lots of women or have sex with lots of women. It’s like some kind of sorcery they can’t figure out.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 11:01 PM

Lowered inhibitions. The girl or guy you normally wouldn’t get with because they’re low status, a bit overweight, obnoxious, different politics whatever suddenly becomes an option.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 04:46 PM

To your title: Once you realize that society = “everything is the man’s fault” it makes more sense lol. This trickles down to individual men’s psyche as well. I see posts on these relationship forums where guys will come up with bizarre self-blame rationales for why their wives/girlfriends took off. The rest of your post: Sounds like normal guy stuff, especially if you’re trying to date online which is a hellish cesspit. Having a social circle and meeting girls in person is almost like a superpo…

Hooo boy I mean be as funny as you can be and as good looking as you can be is a good rule of thumb lol There aren’t necessarily prerequisites though it’s more like who you want to date and where you live. I’ve lived places where the only guys who got dates were that flatbiller tattoo look and others where it’s preppie guys. Tall guys are always a plus. So you need to figure out your local culture/market first.

If you take a step back and use your adult brain you’ll realize most of “those guys” are very self centered/narcissistic combined with extroversion. And if they’re good looking it’s party time. That’s why whenever women get with them they’ll make posts trying to fix him IE make him less of a selfish prick lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 01:29 PM

Well OP asked why guys aren’t chasing (I think they still are) so to play along imagine being the average dorky college guy on a date with them. You’d probably think females are all insane lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 09:36 PM

It’s only falling in the west, all the other places are still having lots of kids, more than they can practically care for. For example Bangladesh and a lot of nearby countries are over 2.0, Africa is like 4.0 lol. Arab countries are over 2.0. And many have massive populations already compared to Europe.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 09:14 PM

I’m willing to bet every hot hollywood star and all IG models you guys look at today (male and female) have had surgery, steroids, hair implants, all the stuff. My hot ex had stuff done and I didn’t know until she told me. People don’t look down on that unless it’s over the top/bizarre.

Probably but I can understand why guys would think otherwise. When I first moved to Arizona I tried driving Uber in a college area. The worst passengers were young college girls. My feeling is that it’s mostly economics. It’s too expensive to live these days in America/Western countries. Back in the 70s a guy who was a renta cop and a girl who was a part time school teacher could buy a decent house in SF or LA and raise a family. Today they need to make like 150k a year etc. And then we have the dopamine fix of social media and video games. Girls post selfies and get likes and “you go girl” comments and the guys play video games where you can have a house, car, girlfrien…

/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:36 PM

Well no they aren’t actually. Not every guy is genetically smart enough or active enough to get there physically/financially. You can be the best YOU but not everyone can be too 10% income or strength or whatever. Also: If all men did that women would just find new things to complain about. If every man was a 6’4” doctor with visible abs and a 140IQ they’d start filtering men based on eyebrows or noses or the way he laughs.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 11:05 PM

That’s interesting because there is a definite part of the brain associated with face recognition. My personal experience is that ugly male faces do get angry woman responses, perhaps that’s why, “this THING is talking to me grrrrr”.

That would mean like 30-40% of young women are lesbians. And not just lesbians but the man hating types who never swing the other way. So yeah ummmmm….probably not happening lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 12:29 AM

That’s not quite what they’re talking about but: The difference is guys are honest about it. Women will come up with a whole book worth of crap about how he was magical, amazing, the only one that ever understood me, my twin flame, we have sparks from the moment we met…. Meanwhile guys will just say that “she was hot.”

Not crazy. People have a weird way of feeling sorry for celebrities, criminals, especially high profile ones while not caring about normal people who are in fuckety situations. It’s just how we are wired I guess.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 03:02 PM

Men were statistically more successful at “finding a mate” prior to feminism, at least in modern times. If you’re going to dig up a study on caveman genetics I’m not sure what to say, it’s hard to argue against that level of autism.

THIS It’s usually a much bigger problem but they don’t wanna say it so they bitch about dishes or your dog or dirty socks or whatever. When in reality they want you to make more money or a bigger house or show more affection or they’re losing attraction. Another huge thing are their toxic friends. The friends egg them on until they file for divorce so they can be the 31 is the new 21 girl at the bar. Then six months later “I miss my ex!!!”

OP might be right, or wrong, situation depending. In the aggregate: Free Love, The Pill, Ez Divorces and now Online Dating have all chipped away at marriage and relationships in general. Combine that with the highly inflationary “Global Economy” and it’s no wonder that so many young men are single/sexless/unemployed. And of course we blame the young men for not wanting to eat their shit sandwich.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 07:56 PM

No way to make it egalitarian with programming or new rules. The whole problem with online dating is that men click almost every single profile and women click maybe 5-8% of profiles. Just look in the tinder forums for data posts from men, even the more successful guys will have like 1400 swipes leading to 20-30 dates.

Not everyone handles parenting the same way. Yeah the baby is cute now but they do get bigger as time goes on. Money troubles, health problems, mental issues all play a part in parents’ attitude. Some people live vicariously through their kids (IE that gymnastics mom). Others put all their stress on them. Yell at the kids to do chores etc. The “sippy cup mom” sounds spoiled. If you lead a life of privilege little things become big things. And then if you are flat broke and every dollar counts it…

OP, ummmmm…… For whatever reason our current neolib society has decided that men and women are exactly the same and that the lack of women in male nerd circles is sexism etc. As if no women in your local RC hobby plane club is sexism and patriarchy lol. You cannot expect a woman to have the same interests as a man. It’s like when women complain about their boyfriend doing “man stuff”. He’s a guy what do you expect. I’m old enough to remember pre-internet dating and it was definitely better. Meeting people and socializing was easier. Today girls filter everything online so if a guy doesn’t pass that muster they freak out. It’s like employment and outsourcing, we were told it would increase opportunity for us but in reality it greatly increased competition in ways that are detrimental to our livelihoods.

The “Pay Gap” is pretty hilarious They always wanna be a doctor or a high powered lawyer or CEO 10k a day, never compare themselves to plumbers etc It’s like men comparing their sex lives to the sexcapades of the hottest guy at college and demanding women treat him thusly Like, the world doesn’t work that way lol
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 01:40 PM

Lol I wouldn’t say “many men” more like a tiny number of men. Most single men aren’t engaging in casual sex. The average single man hasn’t had sex in over a year.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 07:04 PM
3

Yeah that’s BS. Women hit on men all the time, just not as overtly or as often as men do with women. Usually it’s more subtle like they are fishing for a response. The hard part is lots of times it just comes off as friendly talk because many women are terrible at flirting. So guys think she’s not interested when she is or worse they think she’s interested when she isn’t.

OPs not wrong, the amount of horrible advice I see in the Reddit Tinder threads is staggering. Like some poor guy who is a roly-poly neckbeard in a Mickey Mouse shirt and they tell him oh you need a longer dating profile description! Girls like to read the profiles! I used to be that guy too until a friend of mine took me aside and explained everything in really plain, easy to understand “man terminology” lol.

The absolute lack of discipline in American public schools definitely hurts a lot of young people. I think boys especially need that structure. And yes the traditional physical discipline produced results: <image>

Guys did “better” in formal education for the entirety of human history it’s only very recently (like 10-20yrs) that women are doing “better”. It’s feminism.

Men are vague about what they want because 90% of them will happily date whomever says “hi” to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 12:52 AM

It’s almost like emasculating young men and demonizing all the things that they enjoy while simultaneously telling young girls they can do whatever the hell they want has consequences.

That’s one of those “Science proves Water is wet” things. It’s basic biology Another fun one is when you have a bunch of women in a room and then add one that’s dressed provocatively the other ones turn green.

These questions always bring out the funniest replies like how the “good guy” turned out to be a serial killer or something. The truth is men and women have different priorities. The stuff you think is “good” women don’t care about, and may actually detest.

Really doubt they believe it’s a sufficient replacement they’re just nihilistic and think society is headed for a tech dystopia rather than the interconnected utopia we were promised. Honestly I don’t think it’s unrealistic to believe that lonely people will fall in love with AI etc. Like the movie with Joaquin Phoenix (She? Her? It would’ve been better as a comedy tbh).
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 02:35 PM

OP if you’ve ever been around those people in real life many of them complain about that stuff they just get laid while complaining lol. Like the women who say men only want one thing and then date that sort of guy on purpose over and over.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 04:34 PM

I mean, for thousands of years a girl (or young guy) couldn’t get married without the fathers consent. Now we have sexual liberation which has its own ups me downs (freedom has consequences). Half (40%??) our children are being born into unmarried single mom households and we’ve got a whole bunch of young men who aren’t dating or even talking to girls. As for that guy and those posts…not touching it lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 10:28 PM

The biggest problem is men being romantic towards women who don’t like them. If you want to find out if your girlfriend or wife likes you do something spontaneous and romantic. You’ll learn very quickly what she thinks of you lol. Men and women have different ideas about romance too. Just look at classical romantic plays written by men. Then look at ones written by women, especially contemporary ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 10:51 PM

It’s all perception. In the past there were cultures that thought big noses and beards were “over sexualized.”

If you want a serious answer the problem is that the Internet has become very accessible and very visual. Reading a story is one thing but watching a video and listening to it and seeing pictures is much more convincing on a deep level.

That “Adolescence” thing was a scam to begin with, not to mention that it demonizes the young boys who are already outcasts etc. And they say it’s based on a true story, well yeah, except with a whole bunch of different stuff lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Nazi err UK parliament makes it mandatory viewing for every child.

OP if you actually dig in to that study it doesn’t necessarily say what you think it says. Anyways a guy who gets laid a lot will “like women” more vs a guy who gets shot down constantly. In the first case women = fun while in the second women = frustration lol.

Life experience I suppose. Single motherhood is just one more example of the dysfunction of our society. Something like half the kids in the country are going to be in single-parent households in the near future. Meanwhile you have something like 30 to 40% of young men not having sex or even relationships. And I guarantee you those guys are responsible normal dudes and not criminals, psychotics, abusers etc. And then men get blamed for all this lol. “Y’all need to MAN UP and marry those girls! W…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 12:27 AM

He’s just parroting the just world fallacy. The idea that people who win earned it and that people who fail deserved to fail. That if you try hard enough the world will reward you. Real life doesn’t work that way.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/25 01:37 AM

This might sound crazy but I don’t think anyone is really meant to “live alone” or be “independent”. It’s only been recent times that we’ve glorified the whole strong-single life which is really just selfishness, narcissism and consumerism.

I experienced it with my ex. A friend of mine killed himself after I talked to him on the phone and it really bothered me. /r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 04:21 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 03:59 PM

It sounds like you’re talking about Indian or Muslim men? They’re such a tiny percentage of the population here in the USA I don’t see how they’re ruining dating or dating discourse lol. Especially since most of them date and marry within their own communities. I’m not sure all western men are OK with sexual liberation stuff either, imho it’s the reason a lot of guys are hesitant about committal as they age.

Common sense. People with conservative leaning beliefs will view relationships and sex differently (esp marriage vows and the like). Theres less cheating in Republican vs Democrat households for example. It’s not a gigantic difference though I think like 15%.

Those profiles scream Socal/Los Angeles to me OP looks like some millionaire influencer in his profile pic (unless he’s catfishing???) OP women have always gone crazy for those sorts of guys. In Ancient Rome a popular gkadiator would have groupies/rich older women throwing money at him etc. Musicians and actors too. Naw. Plenty of men are scared of winding up in a loveless marriage or in a relationship where they’re viewed as nothing but a wallet because we’ve seen it happen. Offhand I can think of several divorces where the wife filed when the husband lost his job or was incapacitated due to disease. So naturally we are all a bit cautious.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 06:31 PM

The problem with matching on personality is if you’re not physically attracted to that other person it won’t work. I don’t think there’s any way to “fix” apps so that more guys meet more girls. If anything they will only get worse with a smaller and smaller number of men getting the lions share of dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:59 PM

Not surprised because Reddit has tons of weirdos. A while back I made a post (or comment I don’t remember) about how I missed companionship with my ex. How we would spontaneously go out on the town, find some cool little restaurant, or just go for a drive stuff like that. That being alone sucks and isn’t healthy for a human. Several women posted that I’m toxic and one of them sent me personal messages that I deserve to die alone lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:11 PM

Well statistically men who are in a relationship/married are more productive and they live longer, also commit fewer crimes. We also have a large number of single mommies running majority of whom are on the poverty level. Of course we are told this is all great and wonderful.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/24 05:31 PM

Single men who aren’t getting laid will be a much bigger source of economic slowdown/“brain drain” than the tiny amount of men who go overseas to meet women.

Baby Daddies usually have a bank account balance of like 15$, if they have an account at all. They routinely get locked up for unpaid child support. That’s why it almost always becomes the governments problem, IE welfare and medicaid. Something like 3/4 of all single mothers.

We’re being taught that working long hours for comparatively less pay and not owning homes (or families until way later in life, if at all) is “freedom” and that how things used to be was “oppression”.

That’s why they are unsatisfied. When you have lots of options you get really picky and constantly think “what if I’d picked #7 instead of #22” etc, if it’s just a couple options you pick one and be happy with it.

I’ve known a few guys like that, it’s was as if they were trying really hard to impress women or something. They do an abrasive “Real Man” act or trash talk other guys, hover around whatever women are in your social group and then way later on you find out he’s a complete perv or turns into an alcoholic.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 12:44 AM
19

It’s our culture. We’ve sent most of the traditional manly jobs overseas, large emphasis on making sure young girls graduate while ignoring boys, and then you have Online Dating which means guys are competing with every other guy within a 20mile radius. And then we have all these “why aren’t young men graduating/having sex/buying houses” gee I dunno what a mystery lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/24 03:17 PM
13

Well said. A lot of guys will still get in a relationship with a single mom though because of simple market forces. Past a certain age almost every woman you need is a single mom. However those guys are usually hesitant when the “what are we” talks start and even more trepidatious when it turns into marriage talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 03:01 PM

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, really it takes a few months to get a feel for who most people are so you need to be a bit guarded at first whether work or romance. Also you can inadvertently shape your own positive or negative opinion of someone else that will fly in the face of reality.

I have a hard time believing that one. Maybe it’s something like “I’ve never asked a girl on a DATE” but they have hit up girls online, or hang out, just not “DATE”.

The answer is yes but it’s not just Monogamy we have traded away. The two toasters commodity argument. If you’re reading this, single and unhappy, it’s by design. American culture is based around buying things to make us feel special rather than producing tangible items. Monogamy gets in the way of that (lots of other things do too tbh). For example people who are “happy” spend less on consumer goods and more on experiences, or they will sacrifice money to have more free time. Single people spen…

OP your list is still kinda the white-privileged-yuppie list, most people are 1) work/money 2)rent/food 3) healthcare. The average working person isn’t thinking about global warming or Ukraine because they cannot afford to (maybe the income equality one because they are living it every day).

What you are talking about is someone who is selfish and has no empathy. Honestly the modern world of IG, Facebook and bullshit office jobs might be easier to handle. A guy with that brain chemistry also gets laid more often.

Your 2-3 line sums it up pretty well, I’ve known a couple guys like that over the years and we were always jealous of the amount of attention they got. Chasing him through a parking lot, strangers honking on the freeway, plus he had all sorts of sexcapades starting around 7th grade. And to him it was all normal. When I started taking steroids and ballooned up on water weight I got a ton of comments from women friends about how they never realized how sweet/smart/nice/funny I was. It makes me won…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 09:44 PM

Oh yeah I remember those days lol. The funniest thing was the bluepill boomer advice, girls just want an emotional connection, apparently that “connection” was a buddy of mine who was tall and hot. And yeah I still dated but damn it was not easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 07:02 PM

Of course it’s not a disqualification lol. The thing about “ALPHA” or any other motivational advice, financial, life guru is that many are charlatans. They’ll talk about how they built a huge business and then you find out they inherited money. Or fitness gurus who are “all natural” using steroids. Investment gurus who have less than 50% accuracy.

OK If you as the average semi-skinnyfat Reddit guy could make a dating profile with 3-4 crappy pics and get 114 likes in one day along with random nudes and hookup offers…you’d probably do all the same shit. And then the social pic example, if a mid girl has a really hot friend of course you look that way. Hard not to. The only thing online dating has proven is that women are just as shallow as guys are. Because women are people too lol.

I live in AZ/Socal so… Social Media m/IG have completely warped the brains of most women I meet. Even if they aren’t posting thirst pics all the time they’re worrying about how a selfie looked or if they smiled right or whatever. Wannabe movie star mentality. Considering obesity rates I don’t think it’s raising beauty standards in the aggregate. More like ego inflation. Men I dunno it seems more like video games and porn are a bandaid solution. They strike out all the time so they self-medicate.

I’ve never really gotten that vibe from most of those guys, their dating advice revolves around cultivating social skills while making yourself better looking etc. Like how to flirt, look confident, carry yourself well, when to call/text, whatever. The problem is a lot of the generic “social skills” suggestions are stuff like “just get out there and be friendly!” which is insulting because it presupposes that the guy who “can’t get a date” must be walking around acting like an A-hole 24/7.

“Children Penalty” lmao Today in America you cannot generally get by with one income - both have to work. However someone also has to take care of the house/kids. Putting obese slobs on the cover of beauty publications and trying to remove the pretty girls from video games makes it even funnier. We’ve gotten so huge that normal sized men and normal sized women are now a skinny minority. A relative of mine is a grade school teacher and has fat kids that are 200+ pounds in her class.…

Lots of drugs and abusive home life didn’t help either. In between bouts of violent craziness and hallucinations he managed to knock up a girl who ran like hell from him after about a year. Now he lives in a group home type of place.

A man who is desirable to women will be having quite a bit more sex than an undesirable man. Therefore he’ll have more kids/higher odds of marriage. Of course they could be childless by choice, or the hot ~30yr old guy you are using as an example was an ugly nerd student at age 24, late bloomer etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/24 01:42 AM

I would imagine that (in the aggregate) guys who are very attractive might not be as helpful around the house as a less-attractive guy. There are studies where husbands with “more attractive” wives put in more work sort of thing. My theory is that men who are less attractive will make more of an effort to be useful since they can’t get by with looks alone.

Science discovers envy, thanks Science. I would hardly call how women compete with other women to look the sexiest in order to attract the guys - and how they turn green when a hotter woman shows up and/or has a hotter guy (better husband etc) - some kind of big secret. If you go to a wedding and pay attention to how the bridesmaids smile you’ll see what I mean. Some will have a big happy smile and some will have the rehearsed toothy “how did this bitch get that guy” smile. Guys get jealous too.…

For most of human history rich or desirable men having harems was the way things worked. Judeo-Christian ideas about marriage and laws against polygamy combined with early feminism changed things. Now current feminism/sexual liberation are moving things backwards so we are headed towards a weird unofficial polygamy where some men reproduce at a much higher rate.

I’m not sure why this is so hard for some people to grasp (or admit to lol). Not every woman wants to date a kind, loving, honest and smart man. A good chunk of them want to date morons, liars, violent thugs and only date good (or just plain normal tbh) men after they’ve exhausted every other option. When I encounter people like this I keep them at arms length. They often have drama and will put their crappy partner above everyone else.

If there was an AI that sent smart ass messages and had game id use it. Let it run all day while I’m at work and then when I get home in the evening check for matches. Let’s face it until you meet in real life and go on a few dates you have zero idea what that other person is actually like. So I might as well use a chat program to get dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/24 03:30 PM

Yelling for a refund at a drive thru window is bad behavior but taking a hammer to the windshield of an occupied vehicle is literally grounds for a justifiable shooting (fear or imminent attack with a deadly weapon). I looked up the thing. 22$ coffee at a drive through fucking yuppies and their overpriced coffees. And the dude was behaving like a POS. Then the kant swings a hammer out the window lmao. /r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 09:30 PM

The idea that you need to be special or exceptional to date women is dumb. Its like saying “if you’re an average woman with a bland life you don’t deserve love/marriage” which is completely asinine since bland people get married and have sex all the time. A better question might be “why are there more single young sexless men than women”.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 11:40 PM

I don’t really agree with your description of the average guy lol. Average man dating is about 6-12months of singledom before meeting someone to date. That’s a mean statistical average taken from tinder. Women I think it was 2-4 weeks. Most men seem to have their first sexual experience in college so that could qualify as another average milestone. This assumes people in their 20s and 30s actively looking. No idea what over 40 or 50 metrics are like. You also have a large swath of young men who …

Well over the years I’ve known a few guys who were able to bang lots of girls and yeah I was jealous of that success. When I sort of got that same success it kinda jaded me. Ex I’d post a pic when I was really fit, they would message to see my abs, then lots of times we’d hook up lol. Then I’d find out she was a vet tech and living with her boyfriend who was a really good dude, nice pics of them together on dates and I felt shitty.

Oh lord. There are plenty of women who get with guys in their teens/20s and stay with the guy. The wedding happens after college etc. I’d say this is at least half. Some women are manipulative and look for a boring guy with a good job, especially one without a lot of experience or with self esteem issues. That’s the mad rush for a wedding before age 30 crowd. Finally the “settling” and the “beautiful friend with an ugly husband” are almost always regular, normal people having a normal relationsh…

OP’s post is bad and trying VERY hard to cherry pick the result he wants. One of the defining characteristics of those sorts of people his risk taking and a lack of empathy or feeling. They are willing to do crazy things. The same mechanic that allows them to commit criminal acts without remorse also allows them to ask out 50 women and not care if they say yes or no. That alone boosts the odds quite a bit. And when you combine it with narcissism… Yes, they are definitely having more sex lol.

Well there are historical and dramatic books that also have romantic elements - dr Zhivago etc. The dedicated romance market is a little “different.” A lot of the biggest selling romance novels are muscular tough guy men raping the female protagonist. I think the biggest selling one for awhile was the Fire and Flame which is a guy who kidnaps, ties up and assaults a woman on her wedding day. So yeah, restraining orders for everybody.

Vast majority of dating site users are men - and they will join ANY dating site (Muslim, Christian, vegan, cheating, atheist whatever). Women by and large do not use dating sites so the companies create bots to draw traffic. There’s other stuff I wanna say too but tbh nobody should be surprised at a dating hookup site being massively fraudulent.

We are taught in the West that we are superior and our liberalized way of living is the best but I’m not 100% sure anymore.

It’s a push back against the crazy feminism permeating our society. We have been slowly disenfranchising and marginalizing men, especially young men, over the last 20 years. It’s only natural that ideologies which were once considered fringe are becoming more common.

You can trap yourself. Plenty of women will stay with a shit guy because the sex is good or they are just plain used to being with him & don’t want to take a chance on a new guy. Same for men. They aren’t really attracted but have been together for awhile so they are settled in.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 02:16 PM

Its just another sign of the sickness of our society. We’re sold this idea of being a 30somethimg single career whatever making lots of money in a tiny apartment that costs a bunch of money with a gazillion dollars of student loan debt as the pinnacle of “modern living”.

Oh yes absolutely. A guy who doesn’t have a lot of experience, browsing Internet Dating sites and reading comments by women on message boards will think he has to be 6’4, rich, confident, funny, athletic (with visible abs), sparks on the first date, hung like King Kong etc. And the more women who get together, the more they talk, the crazier their standards get because they constantly try to one up each other. Or they come up with stories about all the hot guys chasing them 24/7 or how they turn…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 04:02 PM

Yes of course they are lol. Women are aware of waaaaaay more stuff than guys give them credit for (or what they’ll admit to).

LMAO at the “accidentally” line at the end of your post. Women know all this stuff they just don’t like to admit it. When they talk about hating “Red Pill” they mean ugly guys trying to be pickup artists. A handsome guy who is self centered gets a pass. Anyways is it really so surprising that women will have casual sex with a hot/rich guy?

If a guy is nice all the time they take it for granted or start thinking he’s fake etc. if he’s a selfish prick most of the time (but really nice/affectionate sometimes) they will value his “nice” more and work for his affection. Eventually they get burned out but it takes awhile. Sometimes 40 years lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:36 PM

Its a bullshit stereotype based on the stuff you see on social media (pretty much every woman has flirty sexy trashy IG pics etc). Those pics aren’t for you Mr 5’9 redditor they are for Mr buff guy at the gym or their favorite basketball player or the 6’4 guy they saw at work last month or the convict with the ankle monitor who lives across the street etc. Statistically people have less sex these days and way more men are single. So people are “less slutty” today than they used to be.

Women who live in other towns expecting me to move there to be with them, women telling me that a good man knows what a woman wants before she wants it, does things without her asking, etc. That’s not how real life works. That’s a good point since Men have traditionally fueled the economy. During ww2 you had women working factory jobs but still not on the level of men (who were given deferments to avoid service as their labor was deemed essential). Society would also be more tyrannical. Partially to make up for the loss of productivity but also because women generally do not vote for libertarian ideas like men do. Of course if we invent robots to do all the work that would change everything, until AI goes Skynet …

You can look back historically to countries after wartime to see how they deal with a large loss of the male population. It seems like after ww2 there was a large rush in the west to have way more babies. That could be due to some countries “winning” and “losing” the economic side of the war though. Current universities where women outnumber men aren’t some sort of hookup paradise since larger numbers of young men are going sexless statistically. More virgin men now than 20-30 years ago. /r/PurplePillDebate29/04/24 01:11 AM

Its a strategy to shut someone up without acknowledging their position. Both men and women do this. Its especially true when someone (usually a guy) points out something that is obviously true but not socially/politically popular. Also…nobody likes to hear complaining. We like to hear action oriented stories or something that has a happy ending.

Welcome to the shitsville that’s modern society.

Because they’re dumb, never been around a lot of women etc. Makeup done well can turn a “5” into a “9” sort of thing. People oftentimes punch down because they are too scared to stand up for themselves. Like they have a hard day at work so they yell at their kids etc. If they date someone who is selfish/jerk they will take out their frustration on other people rather than standing up to the real perpetrator.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/24 08:45 PM

You still don’t get it, you cannot tell those guys “girls don’t care about X” because that’s not how their minds work. They have a completely different set of problems anyways like depression and self hatred.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/24 07:00 PM

A lot of those guys are deeply depressed or suffering from other psychological issues like paranoia or anxiety. You cannot tell someone who is depressed like that to just “be happy!” it doesn’t work.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/24 04:05 PM
2

I would say yes it was a huge deal if you could prove adultery. Proving it being the hard part. Sex was definitely part of their relationships just look at how many kids they would have. Prostitution was also widespread and tolerated. Parts of town would be set aside for hookers with rules about when/where they advertised their services.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 03:19 PM

Everything is the “Man’s Fault” lol. Most divorces I’ve seen in the actual adult world happened due to money issues (husband not making enough $$) or different expectations that finally came to a head.

Well if you’re going by online chatting good luck, women get a bazillion messages so they don’t put in much effort. Women are people. There are plenty of women who will yak away at you because they like the attention, women who won’t talk & then get mad when you break things off. Impossible to answer imho. If your Plain Jane is in a big city and hyper sexual and very active online she could theoretically pull off a different guy every night but I doubt any woman would want to do that. The most promiscuous woman I can think of was/is some dating coach that had 300 guys in a year. Those “are we dating the same guy” things are hilarious. Of course you are all dating the same guys lol. Pretty sure another guy who dated ~50 women in one year is doing that in SoCal. Women cut and paste the same stuff onto every guy they are mad at but before the Internet it was just hot air. Now with everything online it is borderline slander and quasi legally actionable. They become more withdrawn and are loners. Engage in self destructive behavior like alcoholism or drugs. Our society is failing that’s the problem, not men or women specifically. We’ve allowed all sorts of bizarre weird shit to becoming a daily normal thing while simultaneously torpedoing our economy so that people work two jobs just to get by while owning nothing. If Americans were fit, if the economy was going well enough that a living wage was attainable for everybody, if we had some morals and pride, you’d see a larger number of young people having families and getting married.

OK science time. Women “get out there quicker,” have more readily available dating options and a larger social network. Men typically have smaller social networks and a much harder time meeting new people to date. Also men take a lot longer to mentally process a breakup. My theory is that men have a harder time emotionally investing and divesting from relationships because relationships aren’t as accessible or common for them. Theres standards and then attraction. “Standards” are a mostly-woman thing. They have so many choices that they’ll come up with a dream list if things that a guy has to have & then declare that he’s her “type”. So then they flip through hundreds of dating profiles looking for that elusive 6’2 surfer guy with a law degree. Attraction is different. You can be attracted to all sorts of people but they may not fit with your mental image of a partner (or be an obviously bad idea lol). Also men and wo…

First off people are becoming more critical, not less, which is why podcasts and indie news services/bloggers are so popular. Also you’re vastly overestimating the number of men who watch those doofy relationship podcasts, or the videos where they interview dumb women outside bars who say stupid shit like “I’m a TEN!!” LOL. Even if the YouTube has say, 3mil views there will be some video of a cat falling off a bookshelf that has 4mil. Its not a big deal.

Whenever this topic comes up people like to talk about the worst possible example they can think of. That’s what sticks in your head. Most of the people I’ve known who got divorced it was amicable, or at least not unexpected. Same for breaking up. The only difference I can think of is that the laws and social conventions favor women over men in most of these cases. So generally it’s the woman who calls it quits first.

Never seen it myself but it probably happens. Single Dads get no love. Of the few I’ve known only one had a dating life. Single moms are the exact opposite, they usually have too much of a dating life lol.

You’ll get a bunch of angry responses but really it’s just a reversal of how it is in America for a lot of young men. They’ll have their dating app with two messages, haven’t been laid in a year & overseas they become a dynamo lol. Theres a Japanese comic about it called Charisma Man. It really hits home tbh. Vetting is easy people avoid it because they are horny. Guys like hot women who wear makeup and act sexual. Girls like psychopathic douchebag guys with swagger. So they’ll date them, the person will do a bunch of wacko stuff and they’ll put up with it until it’s impossible for them to put up with it. Only difference is that men put up with it for a few months whereas women will put up with it forever.

Of course they all want the “same guy” that’s why you see all those studies about disproportionate numbers of single men vs single women, “are we dating the same guy?” facebooks etc. However there aren’t enough of those men to go around so if they want an actual relationship they have to pick a guy who is not “like that” which leads to the “women have different taste in men!” stuff. And the other one about people who’ve had fewer sexcapades being more loyal/better relationship partners. Men constantly looking for a woman who is “just like their first” is kind of a stretch though.

That’s just par for the course, girls probably danced like that back in the 50s too (maybe not the really skanky looking chicks who are trying too hard lol).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/24 10:48 PM

I’ve had that experience too but I’ve also been in relationships and known plenty of people who are very affectionate to each other even after years and years of being together. Our current culture is poisoned by social media/online dating so it’s getting tougher to find that sort of relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/24 06:47 PM

I’ve had the opposite experience, if they like you then they will be crazy about you and “love on you” (IE do things to get your attention, favors, etc). Of course not every woman is going to like you, plenty of single women don’t like men period lol.

More TikTok cringe. I swear that whole app is nothing but single women ragging on men lol. The DNA testing and studies (that I’ve read) of early societies points towards a patriarchal structure where only a small number of men would have lots of children with lots of women while the majority of men had few, or possibly none. A good example would be Native American societies from the early colonial days. It wasn’t uncommon for the chief to have 10+ wives and 20+ kids. Powhatan (Pocahontas father) had around 20 sons and 10+ daughters depending on the source. Another chief had 35 kids wh…

You will see much higher quality movies coming from smaller studios and foreign studios then we are accustomed to. Comics are an interesting example. Men get pissy because their woman friends tell them 1) looks don’t matter 2) they don’t care about money and 3) they want a “nice man” who treats them right…and then they run off and do the opposite of everything lol.

For starters I think a lot of parents are scared their son or daughter is gonna have sex, get pregnant and wind up being a dad or a mom at a young age instead of going to college thing. Also modern Western society is based on consumption. If you go to college, get a good job, make lots of money and then spend lots of money you are seen as a good person living the good life. Lots of people can be convinced of various things by a therapist, or at least suggested as a concept. I don’t think you could make a guy date someone he isn’t attracted to but you might be able to convince them to ask out a lady friend instead of patronizing prostitutes.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/24 07:52 PM

Yeah there’s very few co-ed stuff going on outside of school for kids, video games are huge etc. I lived near a river where we partied all the time during high school and now it’s old people and yuppies for the most part. Very rare to see teen kids socializing. Theres a park near my house (big soccer baseball thing etc) and it’s very rare to see kids hanging out. Usually just 1-2 old people. No kids on bikes misbehaving or riding to the mall like I did. Everybody stays home and games I guess.

“Male Dating Coaches” are a tiny number of men who are listened to/patronized by a tiny number of men. Also they have always been around. Romance books about how to get the girl (or guy) aren’t new either. If you want the real answer to why dating sucks, is hard, is ruined, whatever, it’s our dumpster fire of a culture. I don’t know if I’d call it reasonable but I understand that feeling and how guys come to that point. You are X age, haven’t had a date in months or years, if someone asks you to rate yourself you feel like a zero. You look in the mirror and feel you have no worth as a human. Suddenly you meet a girl and everything is great. The two of you are hanging out, going places, having sex, all the stuff you secretly dream about. I always thought the Red Pill stuff was a conservative counter culture/reaction to feminism. Our current society has also disenfranchised young people (especially young men) in a big way. Nobody seems to give a shit that young people are out of work and will likely never own homes, be debt free or have families because of social issues/inflation etc. In that vacuum it’s not surprising that the “Manosphere” and “Red Pill” are thriving.

I don’t know why it’s so hard for some people to accept that men and women have different tastes and priorities. And then the promiscuous office drones who brag about their gross conquests. City Dating is better than Suburban/Country Dating but there’s hardly a “Man Shortage”. Even in the places that are supposedly Heaven for single guys it still leans towards women at most age groups. What makes it “better” is the culture and the sheer number of gathering places. As for not finding guys who are “on their level” that’s more narcissism and ego than anything else. When you talk to them you find out they have a steady dating life and are single by choice. Not the same as the guy who h…

Yes people will google you lol. Its all available online with just a couple clicks. Honestly its good policy sometimes you find out some really crazy stuff (like arrests, batshit social media postings, weirdo ex boyfriend/girlfriend still in the picture). 100% yes. If you look at tribal societies it’s not uncommon. Pocahontas was one of like 54 kids that the Chief had by 28 different wives lol. Polygamy was kinda the natural order of things up until Christianity took root as a legal system (so probably 50k years of humanity). Prior to that having several wives or a wife and mistresses/consorts was normal. Kings or Chiefs would have dozens of wives. Even after it became a semi-crime you still had rich people/nobles/kings etc getting married multip…

It can go both ways. They’re paranoid she’s going to get knocked up by some goof and then grandma and grandpa will have to raise the child while she’s at school for a teaching degree or whatever. It’s also expected that a father will flex his authority over a situation involving his kids. Once they figure out the guy is a good guy it’s usually different. They were girls I dated in college where after we broke up I still hung out with their dad every now and then because we got along well. We wou…

I always laugh at these threads. The first sentence is logical but everything else? Haha. Movies are bullshit. If you were trying to draw life experience for movies at tells me you haven’t really done anything with your life. You haven’t been anywhere or had those experiences so you look at movies for guidance.

I think Men are less equipped mentally to take care of a sick partner. The numbers are still low, it’s like 1/5th of men vs 1/20th of women doing the “leaving sick partner” thing so not an epidemic. Divorce statistics by and large still slant heavily towards women leaving the man - 80-90% filed by women (finances are usually reason #1). So husbands who have sick wives are still way less likely to divorce/leave vs ANY woman in any marriage anywhere lol.

We rarely talk about much tbh. Several years ago my mother introduced me to a woman at her work. She was cute, had a boyfriend who was a worthless shit/abusive etc. it didn’t work out at all for obvious reasons. The only people I know who are happily married with kids are from very religious circles or they met in high school/college and stuck together like glue. Everybody else is either a single mommy cruising the bars or a single guy sitting at home lol.

Yes and no. If a guy went around banging women/getting multiples pregnant or whatever it might be considered Bigamy especially if they lived in a Common Law relationship. That was one of the biggest complaints against Mormons and how Joseph Smith got killed by vigilantes/sheriff posse (running from Bigamy charges iirc). In certain societies that man would be on the hook for a dowry payment. If a man had sex with a chaste woman it was literally considered rape even if it was consensual. The punis…

Nope. If anything the college/stable job thing will hurt a man’s sex life. They’re all broke, they are always fighting with each other, no jobs, in debt, angry baby mamas and yet they would have girls lined up to bang them. They aren’t really single. If you get to know them you’ll find out they have friends and are usually having sex with a guy on the side The single men you know are usually 10,000 million percent single. They have almost no friends and haven’t been laid in over a year. Keep in mind I’m not saying that there aren’t lonely women out there because there are. However when this topic comes up it’s almost always younger people and not older people who are widows or widowers.

My parents are boomers who married a hundred years ago when I visit them it’s not like they are flirting with one another. They do stuff together a lot though, like road trips/movies/hikes/gym. If they fight I never see it happen. When I was a kid arguments and fights were rare. I don’t think many millinials or gen z will wind up in the sane sort of relationship. Lots will be single into elder years.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 10:53 PM

That kind of thing is super rare and only happens with basketball player types and other flamboyant people. The vast majority of “successful” men will be married to “successful” women that they met during college etc. Someone who they click with that’s supportive and stable. As an aside my ex was from a rich family and a wannabe Instagram influencer. There is a weird subculture of those girls looking for rich guys but it’s not what most people think.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 10:07 PM

A lot of guys won’t admit it but they have only been with 2-3 women by age 40. I think by that time women are more “weirded out” if you haven’t been married or had children. Also the 40 year old virgin is a thing and there are more of those guy than people realize. Honestly…I wouldn’t even think about it but rather ask yourself why you are in that position and then try to fix it.

Three things: First off the women you list are pretty. Men like pretty women. Second of all I was in a long term relationship with a woman as you describe and she was very manipulative. It’s hard to get out of that when you are in it. Thirdly plain Jane women get plenty of attention. An “average” woman will get plenty of attention and dates online or in person.

Reproduction is literally the number one goal for every life form lol. I don’t blame your sister for thinking that way. Our modern society trains people to be selfish. Taking pics of yourself and buying things is a substitute for community and family. Sacrifice is BS, why wait just put it on a credit card and have it NOW! Of course not everyone is falling for it but it’s getting to the point that normal relationships are almost counterculture.

They get lazy thats all. No big secret. Stop wearing makeup, eat junk food, when they go to the gym is just to walk on a treadmill for 20mins and then drink a huge cappuccino etc. Husbands get lazy too but in different ways (oh your birthday is today? Suggest a different date idea then. If she is interested in you then she’ll go bowling or to the arcade or for a walk downtown where the bars are or meet up at a club or whatever. There are a ton of date ideas that don’t involve dinner at a restaurant. After a couple casual dates have dinner at your place. TL:DR Going off title Modern Society exists because we moved past a lot of primitive/“natural” behaviors. You have an iPhone in your pocket and an Internet forum to post these thoughts on because a guy who was not an “Alpha” was able to become an adult, attain a monogamous relationship, have kids etc. So while it might not be evolutionarily natural it is definitely beneficial to society.

Also I don’t date Man Haters. Not worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 06:53 PM

When they say Mamas Boy it usually means he either lives at home or his mother is very domineering. Like she is right next door all the time & he won’t do anything without her approval. As for daddy issues my ex used to sit on her dads lap as a 20something adult 🤪

You need to have a certain personality (IE be good at “fake”) and live in a place with lots of single people (big city). So for all 3 it’s probably 5% of single men. Now let’s say the guy is willing to make all the changes in his life - move, change jobs, learn how to be fake (diff appearance, clothes, musical choices, game), gym, steroids and he is willing to go for women he normally wouldn’t…I would say its possible for almost all single men to do. 95% or more. Single mothers because of the breakdown of the family unit. Young men dropping out of society because they’ve lost hope of having anything better for themselves. This is not rock bottom yet though. You still…

I’m kind of surprised someone made a good response on here. Marriage is definitely a team effort. Raising children is a team effort. One person will have to spend more time with the kids while one person spends more time working. And then you have Redditors talking about getting married based on divorce statistics from a spreadsheet they found via Google lol.

I suppose you could try but it wouldn’t work because there are way too many men ready and willing to throw money at women in the hopes of getting sex.

I always laugh at this topic because I can read the replies and see who has “been around” vs the people who get all their info from blogs. For example when I was broke I wound up in an apartment complex that was notorious for being a craphole (anything called Oaks/Greens/Fountains is usually sketchy) and it was filled with bad boy baby daddy characters. Those guys got so much poon it was unbelievable. And then you get the average Redditor saying well it’s “damaged women”. Or the really funny one…

Lmao Awhile ago I made a profile with “Average Woman” pics which I found via googling (was from an article written by a woman about being average). If I had to guess I’d say she was maybe 5’5 and a little heavy. I think the number was 115 messages after a couple weeks and the guys were mostly decent looking with nice profiles. Messages weren’t obscene plenty were boring though. “hi” etc. So yeah…sausage fest.

Extremely tiny, maybe 1:10000. Even in prison the numbers of men who are SA/scum charges aren’t that high. Obnoxious men are of course much higher but obnoxious = \ = rapist etc. Also consider that people love to bash on an ex lover sort of thing. We’ve all done it. L O L at the down votes. You morons really think 10% of man are rapists/predators? That would mean about 15 million men in the USA alone. You have to have a non-functional brain to believe that’s anywhere near reality.

Question doesn’t make sense. Plenty of women are happily married to men they don’t find “hot” or who aren’t their “type” because the guy is funny, charming, supportive etc. Way more than women married to guys who fit their checklists (tall, confident, blah blah). Repulsed as in she hates you? Why would she marry you? Sounds like either a failed relationship or a failure on her part (married the guy who fit her checklist/parents picked him out etc) which isn’t necessarily the man’s fault.

Funniest ones are on women talk about how they’re too hot to get a good guy. Or there so hot that they can’t get a relationship or whatever. In case you slept through a psychology class everybody does this. Theres a natural human need to protect your ego and your identity. It happens in everything whether it’s work or politics or whatever.

As a guy who went through the same thing I answer (mostly) no. Not for a lot of the reasons people here post up though. Usually what happens is years later after college you get in shape and your life is going well. You make that post on Facebook and then someone you knew from high school and college whose life is not going well hits you up. There’s also a lot of emotional baggage. You’re not going to romantically date the person who made you miserable when you were 16, 18, 22 etc.

I’ve noticed it too thankfully it hasn’t really caught on. It’s just more feminism/demonizing of men. You’re a man so you’re dumb, you’re ugly, you’re short, you’re awkward, you’re goony, you don’t know how to flirt, you can’t kiss, basically you’re an idiot lol. And then women make posts about guys being timid, Guy is not flirting with them enough etc. Clown World lol.

It’s funny how half these posts always boil down to everything being the “man’s fault.” Not trying hard enough, not being funny enough, not being social enough, no game, not having enough friends, not understanding body language, no fashion sense, you don’t know when to make a move, on and on and on.

Lol If any of that were true then women’s beauty products would not be a thing. Women’s clothing would not be revealing. Instead it would be lots and lots of baggy clothes and products to make you ugly instead of pretty. Women love male attention. Everybody loves attention. It’s part of being human.

First part nails it for most guys. Just having a little money and your own place opens up a lot of dating/relationship options. For whatever reason (some) people on this forum get all bent out of shape over this topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 12:56 AM

Lots of things that make a man attractive don’t happen until a bit later in life. Having money, your own place, something going for you etc doesn’t usually occur until late 20s. Same goes for social skills. Most who are shy when younger will become more confident with age (you get a degree, make $$, start dressing better, public speaking, meetings at work, you complete projects, whatever).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 11:09 PM

I grew up in a very rural area. Our grade school had about 800? students and the high school had maybe 300. My high school grad class hadI think 65 kids. Lots of people dated and then later married people they knew from junior high. They met in 6th grade, went to high school prom that kind of stuff. If you were a single adult there were very few single women and every guy knew about them lol. If a pretty woman moved to town everyone knew who she was within a week or two. There was ZERO dating it…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 01:05 AM

In my life it was more looks than anything else. I was always pegged as socially awkward/weird etc but when I got in shape and started dressing more homogeneously I became the funny/smart guy. When I spouted off some autist facts girls said I was smart, when I said autist WTF kind of stuff girls said it was funny. So yeah just don’t be “ugly” lol.

Lol another low energy bluepill post. Character and honor are not gender specific. I’ve personally known women who left husbands when they were dying. One of them went through a horrible divorce while he was in the hospital dying of cancer. Oh I just remembered another one, a guy I worked with became paralyzed from the waist down. His wife left him and took the kids to marry a guy who ended up banging one of her daughters. So yeah…some people are just shit regardless of gender.

The definition of harassment today is very very broad & it doesn’t take anything to make an accusation. Mean girls/schoolyard bullying is a thing for adults too. And then you have the “if he is accused he must be guilty of something” mentality that goes along with the “I’ll never be accused because I know how to act properly” BS. I had a harassment claim against me and I almost never left the server room lol.

Accused? 100%. People love to gossip and if you’re an unpopular guy stories will spread like wildfire about you. Anyone remember that girl who walked around with the mattress to protest rape culture or whatever? She got the guy kicked out of school? That was all fake. Now just imagine something like that happening at work. Kiss your job goodbye! However The odds of it going that crazy and turning into something huge where you’re in serious trouble are very very low. Way less than 1%.

Other times I would go to the Nevada ones that are legal, or to the girls house. One time I ended up dating one. She was a stripper and owned three houses in Reno and one in Sacramento. We broke up because she was always ordering me around lol.

Economics for one. A living wage is becoming harder and harder to achieve & we are drowning in debt. Yes I know guys who are broke deadbeats getting laid constantly but for the most part women still look at guys as providers. They expect you to have a job, place, your own money, a few extra bucks so that you can enjoy your hobbies and whatnot. It seems like a lot of guys aren’t in that position until their 30s, and by then it’s usually built on top of debt.

Genetic choice for sex depends on an either/or so you end up with just two genders in an equal amount. The slightly more males vs females could be due to non-genetic factors. “Chad” is just some guys being more attractive vs others so women go after them - and since we do not punish promiscuity you end up with these sorts of “harems” which are more like a waiting list to date him.

Well as someone who has been accused falsely of things before it’s tough to get out of. You can’t prove that something didn’t happen-didn’t happen sort of thing. One of the best things to do is keep good records. Save all your texts and emails. This is true whether it’s business or social. Their choice. Lack of sex used to be legal grounds for divorce. Several married guys I know have girlfriends because their wives allow it. They don’t want to have sex with him but they don’t want the stigma and financial loss of a divorce. They’ve got a nice house kids going to a good school so they keep up “married” appearances. I’ve known a couple women who did the same because the husband no longer wanted to have sex with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 05:54 PM

Its only half the story. There have been times in my life when I was in the middle of drama like that between two friends or coworkers, and times when I broke up with someone and she went around telling similar stories. Lol @ the playbook part. Seeing as how people have been getting married and divorced for 1000s of years you would think we’d have it all figured out by now. People get married because they’re in love and want to have a family. When you have that sort of feeling you don’t think about all the other stuff. Guys get bent out of shape over this topic because we all know a man who is a complete piece of human garbage yet women will crawl over broken glass to suck his dick. No matter how much of a screwup he is or what he does they’ll forgive him and take him back. Its like his veins are pumping catnip. Meanwhile Mr Average is sitting there with his tinder app, curated profile, “professional pictures” and zero matches going AAARRRGGHH!!!!.

Physical attraction? Women will be attractive to the majority of men if they aren’t fat and are younger. Even if they are short and chubby most men will still be interested. Men have a high sex drive especially when younger which no doubt contributes to this. Most men will never get the same reaction. You have to be exceptional to attract the attention of the majority of women right off the bat. Regular relationships are completely different. Just because you are attracted to someone doesn’t mea…

Making someone wait only happens when she isn’t into you. If a girl is attracted to you it’s not gonna take that long for things to get moving. You cannot force commitment either (unless it’s a shotgun wedding lol). There is no formula for it. Having children or a shared business etc can help strengthen those bonds though.

Although they are loathe to admit it Women generally prefer a guy who is a bit possessive and sets boundaries. Where guys screw up is they have no boundaries in the beginning & then when things start to go off the rails they attempt to set boundaries to save the relationship. Good luck with that one lol.

Straw man. I’ve never heard that and I grew up in a community that had a big private Christian school (ie quite conservative). All the conservatives I knew shoved their kids into college just like everyone else. Conservatives seem to put more emphasis on getting into relationships and making it work but even then I dunno, seeing as how they get unhappy and divorced at nearly the same rates as liberals.

Broke + fit and on drugs I dated lots of women short term but never really committed because I knew that I was a basket case and it would likely fail. A couple of them asked me to move in and I declined. “With all my problems you want me in YOUR house? Shit” lol. When I was fit and making good money I had a few flings and then a steady girlfriend whom I really liked. Unfortunately she wasn’t that great of a person and I lost my job.

This is especially true if your life is mostly together(house, job etc). You were kind of a blank slate to them. Of course I did have a couple bad experiences starting out. Most men and women are having sex within relationships and not randomly. If they are single they will wait until they meet someone they like and start dating officially. Personally…I think its economics and social policy. More women graduating college than men means a group of women who will disdain the majority of men their age for their lack of formal education. Also you will never hear the politicians/reporters say “we need to get more men into college” its always “these young men are stupid, lazy, need to try harder!”. The inflationary nature of our economy means that many people will have to work twice as hard as their ancestors did in order to earn half as…

The way I remember it the “scene” girls were always dating guys who had that same look or vibe. I played in a band but I didn’t have that same vibe and was very organized/serious about my equipment etc which was probably a turn off for the girls who came to the shows.

For every guy complaining about single moms on the Internet there are 20 guys who will date one. The same is not true for single fathers.

Biology is biology. After your mid to late 20s your body starts to change. This is true for both men and women however women get hit a lot harder. The same is true of pregnancies with hormones and bone density among other things. It becomes harder to get in shape, to stay in shape, to have children, to lose weight. That’s why I always tell young people to cultivate healthy habits. You’ll thank me when you get older.

Lol its infuriating tbh. Single guys get pissed because they know of guys who do everything wrong and still get tons of girls while they are trying to do everything “right” and stay perpetually single, or close to it. And then Mr. single guy goes on a dating app and meet women who have a ton of baggage, whose lives are all dumpster fires because of the bad boy ex - and those women make him jump through endless hoops before running off with that same ex who ruined their life. This is why so many …

I think fathers are more worried about their daughter going out with a lazy/criminal/scumbag type of guy than anything else. If she was in college dating a ~40 year old doctor its going to be different than her being 19 with a 37 year old ex convict who has no job (both of which I have seen lol).

Majority of men I know believe in those things and are either dating a woman or married to a woman. I know it may not seem that way but if you think objectively about the men you know it will become apparent. Also you can be a guy who has those values while at the same time having the option of casual relationships. I think for many men the hard part is figuring out how to be attractive in their own way and how to break out of that toxic “singles scene.”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 04:25 PM

Men push for dating but women initiate relationships. Honestly you do not want to be in a situation where you (the guy) are pushing for exclusivity. It almost always fails.

I’ve actually traveled a bit and going to other countries won’t automatically solve your problem. What does happen is that you may find yourself more attractive/successful in those areas because the culture is more of a fit for you - and because Westerners are seen as having more money, treating women better etc. Personally I think everyone should travel. See it while you are young and can participate in the fun. Don’t wait until you are old and can only visit museums lol.

I always laugh when they try to come up with an exact 3, 4, 6. Average is most people so it encompasses a wide variety of races, ages, heights, sizes etc. Most people who kinda fat, kinda fit, kinda short, kinda tall, kinda smart, kinda dumb are kinda average.

You are overthinking it. It’s OK to talk to a girl if you think she is cute and it’s OK to be a little bit “pushy.” What you think is pushy is probably normal assertive male behavior. The thing you don’t wanna do is end up politely following her around like some kind of lost puppy.

Factoring in Social Media you now have to compete with thousands of people for popularity etc. Back then you still competed but it was with one other guy, or a dude she met at the mall. Good and bad. First off its made it easier for people to get out of bad relationships or fly solo. If you can figure out how to play the “dating game” you can be single and have sex without any consequences for your whole life. I think it has made dating a lot worse for more traditional, slower moving types. Same for marriage. People running around with two or three divorces have produced some messed up kids who avoid marriage altogether.

Everyone does that to a certain extent. I think Women are more image conscious and socially conscious than Men. More concerned with how they are perceived, style, being with the “right” groups, having the “correct” opinions. You won’t really know until you are intimate with them for awhile. Say six months of dating and sleeping together. Then they start to let their guard down. Plenty of loving husbands cheat. I think a lot of times the husband is in a “dead bedroom” situation and winds up telling a woman friend or coworker about it. Then they hook up. Pretty rare for a guy to leave his marriage to be with his girlfriend. Most of the time they will try to work things out and have counseling & if he does get a divorce he will be on his own for awhile by choice to figure it all out.

Looks are the number one thing that matter to women when you are younger (everybody really). Most people are at a position where they are good enough to play the game imho. However if you are on the lower end of things (like me) its one hell of a pit to climb out of. If you do a good job when they are 6, 8, 10, if you keep them away from drugs/alcohol/stupid people, teach them to have confidence, how to stand up for themselves you have a 80-90% shot they will turn out OK. You may have to be a tyrant or take time off work or sacrifice things in your own life but that is part of being a parent. Once they are an adult not much you can do.

When you’re just kids in school she will want to sit with you and all of that, ask around about you, call or message you at night, etc. As an adult its pretty much the same thing except she will want to come over to your place as well. When they start putting conditions on everything is when you are probably a second or third place prize. Some guys are OK with that because they want to win her over, some guys aren’t.

Lots of horrible takes in this thread. Women generally want to date Men who can provide for them & Men want to date pretty Women who are available (by their standards). If you are a guy making 60k a year, dating a woman who works part time at a preschool for 25k a year, that is perfectly normal/average. You aren’t slumming it and she’s not a gold digger lol. And then theres the ide…

Lots of divorces happen when the guy loses his job as well. And its not usually a case of a butt ugly guy and a hot girl…I’d bet that most are just average regular people.

There’s nothing creepy about it and most women don’t care. It’s perfectly normal and happens all the time. Women who say that stuff are acting on their own insecurities or feelings of jealousy.

She sounds over the top dramatic, maybe a kid/teenager, so yeah if she is an adult its gonna be heartbreak for the “sweet guy” in this story. People like that gravitate towards emotional highs and lows.

I always get a kick out of those sites. The women in those urban singles groups always gravitate/share the same group of men. Dating the guy who used to date one of your friends who you met at work while he was dating your coworker and then they had a fight so he went back to his ex and then you hit him up on his IG cuz his pics were so hot and… Of course you all end up dating the same guys lmao.

There’s a lot of sexism in those studies. They’ll argue that narcissistic behaviors are natural for women (IE misunderstood feminine behaviors) while being an unnatural behavior for men sort of thing. For example (in the study) they define narcissism as having difficulty maintaining relationships, unethical behavior, and aggression. The further state that assertiveness and seeking leadership roles is “narcissism.” So the engineered a study that is inherently anti-male. It’s no different than tho…

There’s some truth to that. I think what people need to realize is that both patriarchy and matriarchy can exist at the same time. Most men live in a matriarchy.

He has a net worth of several million dollars at age 22, he’s still streaming and has his own site IIRC, he could literally live the rest of his life off his current money w/o working. Just invest it conservatively. If he really does fail (IEgo broke) it won’t be the RedPill just poor investments. Like exotic cars or boats or “mansions” lol.

Men don’t ignore those women. They date them all day long. Very few men date / hook up with objectively hot women, and the ones that do oftentimes marry them. I suppose some guys might purposefully marry an unattractive woman for other reasons (money????) but thats hardly gender specific.

Lol nope. Today it is a crime to visit a prostitute in 99.9% of America. Back in the old days there were parts of cities set aside for legal prostitution. London has a street called “Grape Lane” which used to be called “Grope C*nt” street because that was where the hookers were.

During Freud’s time it was normal for a man to be married to a woman but satisfy his sexual proclivities with prostitutes etc. A man could have a loving relationship with his wife whom he cared deeply for & at the same time be carrying on with whores. I think Freud was trying to come up with an explanation for why a man could maintain a healthy loving marriage while simultaneously visiting prostitutes (IE sex is dirty, I cannot do those things with my wife). In fact there were times when it was …

Men become “less horny” after about age 30 so just look at the way dating is for 21-25 year olds compared to the 35+ bracket. It does change a bit.

Lol seriously? Plenty of women live on tight budgets too. I do know what you mean though because I have encountered the “all men have money” women attitude. And of course the numbers they come up with are hilarious. Thats more of a young-single-girl thing though. Eventually when real life hits people start to realize that every weekend isn’t a party and bills need to be paid.

I think it stems from jealousy. My ex traveled a lot. She was born rich + hot so she could do pretty much whatever the hell she wanted to lol. Went to all the places I wish I could go to but can’t for money reasons etc. Same thing if you think about it. They read some guy bragging about how he traveled and partied and met a bunch of women & it pisses em off. Bonus points if its an average joe or dorky nerd guy.

Lol Dating apps are a horrible example. First off (statistically) they are a revolving door for women and a pit of despair for men. So you have women matching with a guy they would like to date within 2 weeks while men take 6 months or more. Also the populations are way off, anywhere from 3:1 to 10:1 men vs women. Active users will be 30:1 or more. And then its semi-anonymous so you have no idea who is on the other side.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/23 12:37 AM
1

Most men will be with a woman who is 5’6 or less because most women are 5’4 or less. I’m not sure how people can say being tall is a bad thing. Most women who are cheerleaders or models are on the taller side. I think its true for doctors/lawyers etc too.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 06:17 PM

Well for one thing men are told to work out/self improvement/put in “effort” to get dates - oftentimes by women lol. Also most sexual relationships in the real world start out as friends. You hang out, get to know one another etc. So of course guys are going to think they can “earn” dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 04:03 PM
1

I’m sure they do but when you get stuck in a pit of depression and self-doubt it is hard to escape. They cannot just “think positively”. Guys like that their brain is their own worst enemy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 12:04 AM

Lol Yes pretty people really do “have it easier” than ugly people. More likely to be promoted, more likely to be given a good grade, more likely to make the sale.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 07:39 PM
3

You don’t have to be a “rich guy” to get stuck in that situation lol. Usually what happens is the wife cheats too much and the dumb husband finally catches on or she tries to replace the husband with whatever guy she has on the side. So I guess the only downside is everything going POOF because of cheating? But then if the guy is the one making the most money he can get shredded in family court. Especially if he has a trusting nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 12:45 AM

Have you considered that perhaps Men don’t cheat more than Women?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 11:52 PM

Lol Ok ok I’ll try to play along Aside from Americans getting fatter and fatter (and poorer)…it seems like a lot of people seem to be far too concerned with themselves to maintain relationships. They aren’t particularly interested in other people’s lives while at the same time having a grandiose view of their own life. Or they are uncompromising and want things to happen a certain way, to feel a certain way, except life doesn’t work like that.

Most people will say yes but honestly its a bad idea unless there are healthy boundaries. I’m older and I have been there, too often the “best guy/girl friend” becomes a factor in your relationship. You really need to focus on one another and work out problems together. Thats the best way I can put it.

Its becoming such a big economic problem that it can no longer be ignored. Not the relationship aspect but the education/employment aspect mainly. Young men (young people in general tbh) aren’t finding good jobs, they are unable to build careers, they cannot afford homes, no health insurance, the list goes on and on. Our society is failing.

No but I have (well cokeheads lol). Here in America many young single women are addicts of some kind whether its alcohol, drugs, social media or the roughly 1/3rd who are on SSRI or other medications. Its really hard to find someone who isn’t a drinker/“druggy”/taking mood stabilizers/has a weekly therapist/cannot stop posting selfies online etc. People are going to get all pissy but I am not judging here. It’s just the way our modern society is.

Physically yeap there are ugly people. Well unattractive is a better term. “Genuinely Ugly” is a little different. They would have to be completely horrible all around. Honestly a lot of the attractive and “popular” “social butterfly” people I have met throughout my life have been pretty rotten on the inside. Dishonest, screw people over, etc.

I am old enough to remember pre-internet and it was different. People socialized more. Going out to the river or mall to meet girls was a thing. Now you go out there and the only teens at the mall are a flash mob looting the Ulta store & the park/river areas are old people walking their dogs lol.

I know people who live that way. IIRC the husband is an autistic engineer type once the kids were old enough they bought separate houses. Another one the husband and wife weren’t really in love but they had a business/tax/insurance thing so decided to stay legally married because divorce would be too expensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 04:31 PM
7

I don’t think so, at least not a “lot” of them. In the 30s age bracket on up…definitely. Thats when you have a lot of single guys who have been divorced, already dated a lot, have kids etc. They simply won’t jump through the same hoops vs when they were 22. However guys in their 20s are very focused on women and relationships. Completely different environment.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/23 09:37 PM

I think the first mistake is believing that women make less money. If they’re buying houses at higher rates than comparable groups of single men then obviously they have more funds available to them. Not sure what you mean by “become better”. Most of those blogs I read talk about Hypergamy and not “women be better”. More women than men are graduating college so statistically that means they will have higher incomes. In a normal functioning society they would try to get men to graduate at higher …

Having been a manipulative relationship it’s because I wanted to believe she was for real (not sure I qualify as a guy who has played lots of women lol). I think people who are manipulative can sniff out targets. They can tell if you are lonely or what buttons to press. I once read a scientific experiment where men with domestic violence convictions watching videos of women walking down a hallway. They were able to pick out the women who had been in abusive relationships by the way they walked. …

A single father is a single mom without any support lol. Those guys never get any love. Deadbeat dads are sperm donors. What blows my mind is women are always ready to hook up and have babies with em. Then they complain about how the previous babymama is a pain in the ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/23 12:38 AM

Give (even more) of my tax dollars to women having irresponsible sex with stupid men in order to make more babies in single parent households? Thats the solution? Thats terribad even for TheGuardian lmao.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/23 09:32 PM
6

Not really. Just practical statistics. If women want to get married and stay married some of them will marry guys who make less money on paper. There are only so many guys making X per year sort of thing. I expect it to be 50-60% in the future because of the continuing social war against young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/23 12:54 AM

Oh man flashbacks to my ex lol. Women rate themselves and other women comparatively higher than they do men. Just hang out with them and they will rate themselves as 9s and 10s and when you point out that they are mostly average they’ll get mad as hell. Meanwhile every guy in sight is a 2 or a 4 (or a zero) unless he is smoking hot to the point that I’d go gay and bang him. Then he is a 7 etc.

My IG has a whole bunch of girls on it because I spammed “follow for followback” and I’m a guy. A lot of them either have bots or the boyfriend running their account so you will get a follow from them. Honestly it annoys the hell out of me to log in there and see a whole bunch of wannabe instabimbos selling themselves especially since it is more of a business account. I might try making a completely new account and wiping the old one.

In the US its about 25-30% of your paycheck and then taxes at the end of the year depending on your income bracket. The health insurance may or may not be part of that 25-30%. Also health insurance is expensive here so it might not cover everything. Finally the Social Security (public pension) doesn’t pay very much in relation to income. The people on the bottom-to-lower-middle get 800-1200 a month. So if you live in the USA you really need to spend extra on health insurance and private retireme…

Child Tax Credit is another one. Those things are good imho simply because US taxes are too high on working people. Especially since you have to pay for your own healthcare and our pension system (SSecurity) is shit.

Yeap. Bet your ass a “single guy” tax is coming. When I was in college I had a creative writing class taught by a feminist teacher. She asked us to write a story about an uplifting future so I wrote a story about a man who lives out in the forest with his dog. About halfway through the story he’s kidnapped by a bunch of angry women and their robot army who force him to move furniture, fix leaky pipes, replace lightbulbs and squish spiders.

Truth is most of “those guys” have low self esteem and/or social issues. They think they’re crap because that’s what they have always been told so they are timid.
