You are hilarious if you think texting with some one is any kind of a test as to whether they are a predator. Sociopaths excel at faking it. That is a very "blame the victim" attitude.

So wen shouldn't date at all because some men are rapists and murderers and stalkers?

Yes. I don't accept him picking me up, meet in a public place, have friends know where I'm going and what his name is, never agree to go to either one of our houses, don't give out my address, do a google check before the date. One time I was considering letting a guy pick me up because my car broke down. I asked for his full name and he got angry and said he was mad that I didn't trust him. I told him the date was off and he kept trying to argue with me. Huge red flags. I blocked him.

Thanks! Yes and I have tried not to tell her the whole story but I had to tell her parts of it over the years at an age appropriate level.

Couples therapy doesn't work if one person is abusive and therapy in general doesn't work for narcissists.

Oh that's really sad. My daughter wants to confront them. I told her they are not going to apologize or admit wrong doing. They will make excuses and try to make me the bad guy. It will just upset them. I think her dad would get over it but her step mom is vindictive and I am afraid she would treat her badly after that. They already don't have a great relationship. I think her SM knows that this is going to come up at some point. She is very snarky and judgemental with my daughter who is a model…

I'm ok. My daughter is a teenager and she is just now realizing how awful her step mom was to me. Its hard because I don't want them to have a bad relationship. She is processing a lot about it. It hurt like hell for years. She was my matron of honor. She knew all the evil shit he did to me and I guess she just didn't care.

Oh good for you! I'm sorry to hear that about your best friend. Mine started sleeping with my ex during our divorce and tried to hide it. They are still together 12 years later.

That was what I posted too. Just because a man is HV now doesn't mean he will be in a year or five years.

The dying alone thing makes no sense because most men die first anyway so most women do die alone.

This is also why so many of them say they are centrist or apolitical. All lies.

I think I would enjoy LAT. It sounds ideal. It seems when you move in together the sex dies down and the man starts taking you for granted.

I had the same issue. I really don't want to be a stepmom unless the kids are teens or older. I won't be engaging in parenting, won't be doing the emotional labor their father should be doing. Not to mention if it doesn't work out you have no legal claim to these kids. It broke my heart to grieve my ex and his two kids all at the same time.

Truth. After 45 men only want to date younger women for the most part. I'm not attracted to older men and younger men just want sex and have mommy fetishes. No thanks.

IIRC the point of this is just getting laid, not getting into relationships. I watched Mystery's show back in the day. There were some things that I thought were really interesting and useful in terms of basic social skills that could be used for making friends or in the work place. One interesting part of it is that he points out to men the things they do that inadvertently make them appear to be a dangerous psycho or just in general set women's alarms go off. I feel like there are certain grou…

I'm 49 and I have a hard time imagining ever living with a man again. I have been divorced twice. Once from a NVM who turned abusive after our daughter was born and once from a closeted man. In both situations I lost a home that I had ownership in. I absolutely hate moving. I need my space so there is no way I could live in a small condo with a man and I can't afford a bigger place on my own. I'm not going to lose my home because a man decides to be an asshole. About those conditions, I guess I …

I agree with everyone about finances and a support system. Being a single working mom is extremely difficult in the US. I don't know what it is like there. Never having time to yourself is pretty awful, and you can burn out quickly. I would think about what you want to do for self care. Is there anyone you could trust to babysit if you just want some time to go errands or have a coffee with a friend or some thing? Good luck to you.

So is this the building where you work? Can you talk to your company about this if it is? Because I don't think they would appreciate this at all. I'm really sorry you are having to deal with such a horrible scrote.

I was into tik tok for a few weeks but I just really can't stand it now. It is so repetitive and people keep using the same music over and over. Don't get me started on the thirst traps. Ugh. Grown men acting like strippers is not a good look. I like the idea of limiting the tik tok posts.

This is so accurate. I stupidly dated a man last year who was talking about marriage way too quickly, was critical of support groups I was in online, and got jealous of a guy who showed vague interest in me who I was friends with. He actually flat out told me that I didn't need one of my support groups anymore because I had him. I told him it was not up to him to tell me who I could talk to. The thing that was the final straw was three weeks in I had my work phone on a table. Usually I kept it i…

Men literally complain on the dating subs that women get upset when they cold approach them in public. Trying to explain to them why women are afraid and uncomfortable results in being called a man hater. I'm not even going to try to explain anymore that men are not entitled to try to hit on women just because we are in public.

Jesus, I think most of here wish we were lesbians. Most men put their friendships with men above their relationships with women so why do they care if we do the same? LVM don't even see us as human beings but they are so freaking in love with their buds.

Part of it is that single child free women have time to get involved in politics, to run for office, volunteer, support other women who are running, to spread the word, organize and fund raise. And the majority of women tend to be Democrats. I think a lot of the failure to support mothers in this country is to keep women from being involved in politics.

Yes on the Outlander sub some one makes a post about this around once a week. Its her Achilles heel, I think. I was just posting over there that I wonder about her history being so dependent on rape to create drama.

This is why I hated English class my last two years in high-school. I loved reading and writing but being forced to read book after book by white men who clearly hated women and had no idea what women are really like beyond annoyed me. This was back in the 80's. I think there is more diversity now. Ernest Hemingway was the worst. I can't stand him.

I love it! I wish more women would insist on being called Dr and their last name. It seems so many are "Dr Liz" or if they have a PhD they don't use the "Dr" anyway. If I ever get a PhD you can bet I will be referred to as Dr all the damn time.

Please listen to this, young women. I got married at age 28 and I went through classes to prepare me for the GRE, I got a good score on it. I worked at the university so I could get tuition discounts. And my stupid husband was angry all the damn time about some thing. He finally told me he didn't want me to go to school because he didn't want us to take out student loans. I was so dumb I knew that if I went he would resent me and he would be angry all the time so I gave in. The truth was he neve…

I know, I was at one point only interested in a FWB situation and I couldn't even get through an initial conversation with men without them saying some thing offensive and stupid that was such a turn off. I think I'm done with the apps. And the part about not sharing your trauma makes so much sense. I can't believe I never thought about that. My ex married me with a lie and I think telling a man I was seeing that made him think that I was really gullible. I broke up with him after 3 weeks becaus…

Yes when I was forced to leave my home to move two hours away to live with family due to my stbx letting the house get foreclosed on out of spite for me during the divorce, I was working with a DV shelter. Based on the two police reports of him threatening to kill himself and then some how coming home from the ER or talking the cops out of taking him some where the shelter paid for me to get the locks changed because he had threatened to destroy all of my things. The shelter told me I shouldn't …
