Yes but it is not universally applied. On my page for this article there was a link to an article about a husband that chopped the penis off the man that was raping his wife. So its out there.

Like i said i get whats behind the choice, good motivation, great lines, but they are the villains. I have the same issue with the 501st, i like the charity work they do, i understand the costumes are cool, i just wish the Rebel Alliance was the more popular group. I'd rather associate with the heroes. Fighting the power structure in our case should be that we are the rag tag underdog that has a clear vision of what is right and not that we are the petulant child lashing out at an unjust world i…

I've seen several MGTOW memes now that use the villain of a given story as the stand in and I'm not a fan. I get what your saying and its good and all but can't we align more with the heroes instead.

One does not "give" the rank of MGTOW, for it can only be taken.

She may not think she's an escort, but the dudes paying her clearly do. And like u/pingpongdong10 pointed out she's clearly not charging very much so i image it works out pretty fairly for the dudes.

There was a study done that relationships work out most frequently and last the test of time more often when the woman is younger than the man by at least 5 years. That's why.

Well I care because I like this sub. And the question is, has it really changed enough that I should go because I'm feeling philisophicly put off or am I over reacting and just seeing a trend that isn't really happening.

No, but mercilessly bashing a woman in a picture of a divorce finalization where the woman is obviously upset and the guy is taking a selfie with a smile and no other back story, is to a certain degree. It was a post from last week and it got me really thinking about it. Someone commented that it was sad and he got down voted to hell. And it felt like no one had any sympathy for the person that was upset in the picture just becasue she was the woman in a divorce. I feel like we can be, and use t…

incel= involuntarily celibate. They had a sub and it was not kind, it got shut down. They were very bitter and some of the post were woman hating to the extreme. And there was an air of woman OWE men sex, you know all the bad shit MGTOW gets accused of but isn't actually the case. I'm seeing an increase in that sort of thing here and i'm questioning whether that feeling is legitimate or an over reaction on my part.

Your right chad has been around for a while but i never use to see the chad cartoons here, and (again this is feeling and not data) it seems to be coming up WAY more frequently then it use to, could just be the meme is gaining in popularity and there is nothing odd or nefarious about it, just part of the shift i feel like I'm seeing. I tried to describe the thing about the friend zone that i was referencing but after five minutes i have determined i dont have the words to express the issue in my…

It could very well be confirmation bias, i'm looking for perspective. Is it really just that i'm noticing it because its on my mind or is there a real trend. i like what /thewillpowerengine said above, gives me hope that even if it is a real trend its just a natural wave that will equal out. And i honestly dont think i ever heard what you said you think i did, i didn't really think of incels as a containment sub, i only found it a month before it got shut down, i'm just seeing way more crossover…

I like some good schadenfreude as much as the next guy but there is a difference between laughing at a woman who falsely accused a man of rape who ended up getting a long jail sentence, and seeing a sad woman, without any back story, and being happy that A woman somewhere is sad. Be a person.

I agree with you. Its one thing to be MGTOW and know that you dont NEED a woman to be happy, but its a little unfair to be happy at someones misery just because she is a woman. I dont know the story with this pic and i didnt see any comments yet explaining it so i have to assume most dont know either but she clearly looks like she's in pain and having some sympathy for another human would be nice. Now even if she deserves to feel bad, thats between them, all we see is the failure of a relationsh…

I know things are different in the UK but the principle should be the same... in the US part of the reason that the names of all the people involved in a criminal case can be released (except by special order, and even then usually not permanently) is that any actions the government takes is a public action and therefore fall under the scrutiny of the public and is considered public information. Allowing the government to have trials against secret people on behalf of secret people would make it…

It's a funny thing to complain about considering the husband use to end up with the kids in a divorce then women's rights movements complained and said that children need their mothers. Which inevitably led to alimony to help the wife take care of the kids now that she has them with the thinking being that when the farther got custody they had money to take care of the children and so they should just pay that money to the mother so she can take care of them.

So calling for equality is sexist now? And Feminist is a synonym of women too?

A. Menanist are not a thing. B. Part of the reason people think the Ghostbusters getting a remake with the gimmick of "now they are woman" is a bad thing is because it sounds like the tasteless idea a porn parody company would come up with.

That's good to hear. I just don't want people to start donating money for victimhood instead of doing it for a truly good cause. I belive this film is a good cause but it's worth being cautious.
/r/MensRights05/11/15 09:15 AM

I agree. It is early. Just being overly cautious. I'm not trying to demean her or her project. I'm actually excited to see it but hearing Milo talk about how exciting it is that she's more funded than sarkeesian after hearing about an attack makes me apprehensive.
/r/MensRights05/11/15 09:12 AM

But she beat the funding due to Milo's article about how her feminist friends were giving her greif. Also I took from the article that she has only now after the twitter exchange and her response gotten more than sarkeesian. Any way I'm just voicing caution. I'd hope it's all on the up and up, and we won't know till we see the final product, I just don't want to see us get suckered into playing the same games.
/r/MensRights05/11/15 05:38 AM
2

So she's the victim of feminist criticism on Twiter and this had gotten her funding from the antifeminist and free speech people, and we should be happy about this? It kinda sounds like she has found a different way to turn a profit by playing the victim, like she tricked the people that are against this sort of thing into falling for it themselves. Now I'm not against her or the movie here just concerned that we might be falling for the same old tricks just on our side now.

Wouldn't he be the one relying on her for aid? If so shouldn't he be the one entitled to half her stuff and a payment to help him live.

It's not about equality of outcome it's about equality of opportunity. Everyone should have a level starting point and the end result is determined by each individual and their choices. It's also important that we treat women like they have agency, if they are adults then they must be responsible for their actions and reactions. Bringing up women as being more emotional than men does a disservice to the actual argument at play here. The law is not emotional, it should be applied to all equally. …

No, I was pointing out how even the "manliest" type of man can be into something thats not considered manly, without it reducing who he is. I was highlighting the juxtaposition of his fandom of PPG with the type of man he was.

In highschool I knew a guy that was WAY inot power puff girls. He wore shirts, backpack, lunchbox, braclets, and even painted his nails with power puff stuff. At first i thought he was a bit odd, but hey he can like what ever he wants and PPG's was pretty cool, not decked out to the 9's cool to me but still pretty cool. Anyway, this power puff guy was seriously the most ALPHA dude i ever knew. After i got to know him i found out he was the dude all the chicks got with, every week was a new girlf…

I hope he sues the shit out of Nancy Grace. In a perfect world he'd sue her so hard her show would be cancelled and magically removed from time, as if it never existed. I saw her one time scream in the face of the guest that was agreeing with her. She's unbelievable.
