That’s not a hard rule. I live in Florida, and before that Arizona. In hot climates, an hour can see my clothes soaked through with sweat.

I work in as a demand planner at a cosmetics company. While the job itself is not normally a feminine industry (supply chain and logistics is normally very male dominated actually), being at a cosmetics company has helped to skew my company feminine. We get tons of discounted cosmetics and samples, so it’s even better. You can look for any jobs, but in feminine industries.

This was I thought, if you’ve only been dating for ten months, this situation is not strange at all. I don’t think the expectation should ever be for a man to immediately pay for everything the moment they start dating a girl, even if their financial situation is more stable. Now, it would be fair to ask to perhaps ask to not go to excessively expensive restaurants or do excessively expensive activities unless he can help pay, because you’re simply not in the economic situation to spend like tha…

Surprise him! Use your feminine charm to surprise him with small gestures. Some things I do: I hide love notes under his pillow. Sometimes he has insomnia or can’t sleep because he’s too stressed out. He knows to check under his pillow when that happens for one of my notes. He had a long day? Cook a nice dinner (and dessert!) to have ready when he gets home. I had a long day at work today, but his was longer, so I just assembled a homemade apple pie that’s in the oven. He will walk in to the fra…

This feels like a double standard. You can’t create a welcoming home when you’re working 50 hours a week. So what is that you want him to do? I personally believe that you are asking him to change who he is - but you knew who he was when you got into a relationship with him. You made a choice, and I feel like you’re imposing a slightly unrealistic expectation onto him.

Reddit was sold to a Chinese parent company some time back. I am not surprised at all that it’s heavily monitored and/or censored, unfortunately.

Personally, if my partner put his parents before me, or he insisted on being there for his parents “at the drop of a hat” I would be furious. Absolutely not allowed. Of course there’s certain situations that don’t count, such as medical emergencies or important life events etc., but if my partner was at his parent’s beck and call, I would feel extremely disrespected and minimized. My boyfriend’s mom tries so hard to command his attention, and craves his constant validation, assurance, sympathy, …

My ex-husband was 15 years older than I. At first, it was fine. As time went on, it became more problematic. A few issues: His friends didn’t always respect me. They often treated me as young, and henceforth inexperienced, or unrelatable, or downright unintelligent. As we both got older, his age began to show, and not in a good way. It became uncomfortable at a point, and I couldn’t handle it anymore. Those are the two major things that became problematic for us. Not everything was bad, though. …

Here’s a few points you may consider: At your age, and in your first real relationship, I don’t think you’ve probably had enough exposure to know what you truly like. I’m not advocating for being promiscuous or for dating a million men, but I do truly believe that you’ve got to experience at least a couple different men to understand what you like/dislike in a relationship and what will make you happy in the long run. In an LDR, closing the gap is a massive commitment - which is to say, one pers…

My wonderful boyfriend just discovered the magical Betty Crocker cook book. He was craving a “cobble” (cobbler), and I told him if he could find it in my “big red cookbook” that I would make it. Now, he’s reading my Betty Crocker like it’s a compelling novel, marking the pages of all the things he wants me to cook. I’m ever so pleased!

“Be the goddess of fun and light” Somehow, this is really inspiring me today. My man just got home from work after a bad day, and I’m carefully accommodating him with his favorite foods, love, and indulging him in a well earned pity party.

Make a few friends with some veterans - after Afghanistan and Iraq, there’s a lot of men 25-40 that are veterans. There’s a major difference between listening to war stories around a fire, and being the emotional support for someone who has emotional trauma from combat. I’m not saying that ALL veterans have major emotional trauma, but a lot do, and regardless, having combat experience will most certainly augment your world view in some way. My dad is a combat veteran with drastic and life alteri…
