IMO its pretty unlikely that a 17 year old guy, gets a date with a 25 year old girl for example In my experience, not necessarily - I used to hook up with 24-27 year olds when I was 17, and I've never looked particularly old (hell, I'm late 20's now and still get asked for ID when buying booze). 1	What are some good places away from alcohol to pick up? As a recovering alcoholic, bars and clubs are a no-go. In my experience, find bars & clubs the worst places to pick up anyway - everybody there is expecting to get hit on. Coffee shop, book shops, library, parks, even the supermarket...
