Company immediately apologises and pulls ads. \| Compare this reaction to Gillette's willingness to shame men in advertising despite a far bigger backlash. The Gillette ad campaign is a complete failure. You could say, "there's no such thing as bad publicity," but that only works if both sides buy your product. With something like the Colin Kaepernick Nike ad, it works because everyone buys Nike. While Gillette has women's products, it's mostly just something that men buy.
