yeah but i would argue that generalizations like ''birds have feathers'' are insanely different from any type of generalization of human personality. There are just too many factors: culture, family environment, friend group/subcultures, past experiences, etc. Human behavior is much more varied, to the point that you can find all types of characteristics. That's why it can sound stupid and patronizing to act like you can apply the same judgments to everyone, and often to single individuals you d…

i disagree. Most of these women would still look amazing in person, they just wouldn't look like they're dressed for a gala event. Its unfortunate that our perspective of beauty is so unrealistic that if a woman doesn't look like she has a whole face of makeup then that she will look average even if shes victoria secret top model or Hollywood actress tyer I do agree with you that women have a lot more options to improve their looks in comparison to men. I was originally talking more about the wh…

i do agre with you here, i dont think woman are by default better looking If they are any better looking in general then it has more to do with putting more effort/time into it

youre literally using red carpet pictures on the make up side though, that's my whole point: makeup can have a huge effect, but that does not translate to the every day use of makeup because in general no one has the time, money and talent to do this type of production If you were to post these ladies with average makeup up they would look a lot like themselves with no makeup. Not to mention that in a lot of the examples on the website the woman does looks great without it, you can tell that she…

hm not sure about your ratings here. It makes sense that most girs are under seven since the average/plain would be 5. It doesn't make sense that under 7 would be ugly though. Seven should be good looking/above average in looks

thats be cause she uses tremendous amounts of professional make up, if she was an average lady using normie facial concealer everyday it wouldn't be a huge deal

yeah i agree it gets rid of some imperfections in your skin, but still I don't think it has this tremendous effect of making a 5 look like a 7, for exemple. Im just saying if a girl looks like a 7 with minimal make up then shes probably a 7 without make up too I personally prefer to invest in a good skin care routine, I think its a better decision for the long run and Im not interested in spending time with make up, so i never ever use it anyway

I feel like men really overestimate the power of make up If we're talking about professional type make up, the type we use in weddings or special events then yes, it can be a drastic change But he type of make up women apply on a daily basis won't be changing the whole structure of their faces. It basically makes your skin more even, hides dark circles and then some women use some blush, lipstick and eyeliner which is mostly ornamental. But I don't think it really changes much, if a woman looks …

or it could be that these men have more children and less stable relationships because the impulsive trait that leads to a person committing crimes is the same that would lead to promiscuity, irresponsible sexual behavior, etc impulsive women definitely have ''more reproductive partners, were less often married, more likely to get remarried if ever married, and had more often contracted a sexually transmitted disease'' than the rest of average ladies, this doesn't mean that men have a preference…

Idk i feel like living like in the 50s is bound to end up frustrating a lot of these 'pick me' type of ladies in the future The whole being dependent on your husband can be very problematic and I feel like it works for very few people

because they are, indeed, very sporadical tasks?? the author literally put life insurance there lol man it feels like trying to argue that grass is green and sky is blue with some people

yeah a lot of this list is quite questionable, a lot of these things dont sound that traditionally like male work in my personal experience. Like the assembly, car or computer buying, child coaching, painting, planting, gardening work, disciplining kids... even confronting the neighbours doesn't sound necessarily like a man thing to me. They sound like stuff that both partners would do or both would be involved A lot of this list is very situational as well, if you dont live in a house then cut …

So would you rather be in charge of laundry every week or buying paint once every 2 years? Would you rather be in charge of running the dishwasher everyday or 'weather guarding' your partner? Listen I think the post does have a point in saying the male participation at home should be cherished too and it's often not talked about. But if youre going to equiparate these very sporadical chores with stuff that has to be done everyday/week and act like this makes it even with the ladies, then you're …

Doing the laundry and running the dishwasher every week does take a whole more time than most of these very sporadical activities such as buying paint though It's laughable to even compare

"helping" your partner because you're bored even though you still think it's her obligation and not yours still wouldn't make for a fair living agreement since household chores need to be done consistently

For this to make sense women would have to be a privileged class in society, which I think it's not the reality... I think simple misogyny explains these type of posts way better

In my experience as a physician, most male doctors are married to other doctors lol

I mean, if you're going to offer extreme options like that I guess the shallow answer will usually win but it's not realistic at all You know, people get to date someone who are both good looking and have a personality they like as well. If you are an attractive person you'll get even more of an opportunity to get both Like I said, there's a reason most doctors date other doctors or other healthcare workers, and I'd say the couples are usually pretty even in terms of looks and success. On the re…

Yeah same. I'm a physician myself and the pattern I see in my colleagues, friends, professors, staffs, etc, is that they usually date within their own social circles, so most are married to other doctors. They mostly date their looksmach or not too far from it A surgeon might have a fling or a ln affair with their hot secretary, sure, but marrying her? I dont think I've ever seen it. For me it's clear that looks are an important point but just as important as other points Edit: spelling

I guess the point is that it gets harder. It's not impossible, just a way harder and many people are going to experience times where they can't keep it up. I think the whole idea of "letting the relationship go" is that its usually unintentional but ends up happening. Just like getting fat, nobody is doing it on purpose. it's just that life is hard, you have a lot to do, for a while you get complacent and one day you look in the mirror and realize you've gotten fat

Considering all of thins then, I think 20+ hours of chores a week would be pretty accurate for a house with kids sound pretty accurate. Honestly just cooking for the family and washing the disses after would give you a couple hours of work a day

Do you live alone though? Also where do you live? I agree this might also depend on customs/culture. As I stated, brazilians tend to do a lot of deep cleaning (there's no such thing as using tissue bought products, for example. We use mostly water, soap and rub everything in kitchens, floors and bathroom's walls, toilets, sinks, etc). Most houses don't have dishwashers or vacuum cleaners, and we do laundry at home and dry our stuff on the clothe line. Also it's not common for families to eat fro…

I don't know how 3 hours a week can account for taking care of a whole house. I mean, maybe it's because Brazilian people tend to be very very clean, but according to our governamental statistics center there was an average of 21.3 weekly hours spent on domestic chores by women, against 10.9 hours by the average men (2019). In my experience, even living alone I'd spend a lot more time cleaning, imagine having to clean up for a whole family. And that's considering homes in Brazil are usually not …

Honestly in my experience it's quite the opposite. Women are usually more involved in the relationship and try harder to make it work. Men, even when theyre not interested in the relationship anymore, tend to avoid doing the emotional work it takes to either fix it or actually leave it. Fairly often guys rather get distant and stonewall the partner until she takes the initiative and break things up I more often see the trope where the guy only takes an initiative in breaking up when he already h…

Honestly that's so far from my experience. In my family the most frequent dynamic is girl being expected to have a lot more responsibility over everything and boy not doing much for the house/family while still maintaining a lot more freedom (as in dating and having fun). I don't know about punishment, but I see girls being hold on a higher standard which leads them to having better life skills and boys being childish for a lot longer I sure live in a more conservative place but its still a very…

Wow that's so odd. Here I Brazil we absolutely have mandatory stuff for newborns, including testing for blood type and infectious disease screening. Good luck trying to opt out of that, the hospital's social service department is definitely gonna get called

22f. Met him in college. Not the same classes, but since med school demands a lot of time we end up socializing and meeting most people in the course. We have known each other for 2,5 years at the time, mostly just throught chatting in the hallways, before we started dating.

I get that it's sad, but what's your point? Loving someone a lot doesn't mean they will to love you back. Or you think that somehow if you were to do this great romantic gesture then the girls it's aimed to would HAVE to love you back? Because that's not how the world works
