Thanks for sharing this. It was so painful to read, yet I couldn't stop until the end. The constant enabling is so infuriating.

When he could not accept the fact that another co-worker was considered attractive by all the women in the office. Telling me this guy "looks old for his age". It's hard to respect someone who can't accept cold hard facts, and who dismisses the point of view of 100% of women.

My ex told me, after I insisted to know what he loved/liked about me: "I like it that you love me so much." That was the end of the relationship for me. I stayed for another while but I knew he was not the man for me.

Um, yeah, he married a staffer. Why are people surprised he repeated this behavior. 😐

When he bites his nails 🤢. Or just as bad: long and dirty fingernails. Just keep those hands neat and tidy please, with clean short nails.

I've gone from long to super short and back a few times in the last 25 yrs, and it is extremely telling how a man reacts to a haircut. I've always considered it a red flag when a boyfriend /significant other reacts poorly to a change of style. It's so controlling, it reminds me of my dad and that's never a good thing.

Reminds me of a green flag from a past relationship: a meat eating boyfriend who did not become a vegetarian on my account, but always ordered vegetarian food when we ate out or cooked vegetarian meals when at his place. And after a while, told me I had inspired him and his kids to be vegetarian every other day.

Can confirm. My sister in law got a terrible back injury with lots of pain, and the a-hole husband cheated on her because he couldn't get his peepee wet every other day anymore (this was their routine apparently). So they are divorced now. She looked after him for 20 years, but he couldn't muster it for more than 6 months after she got injured.

Exactly. Some frenching and heavy petting, lift the skirts and slip it in. Some thrusting, then everybody comes.

I've noticed that this also works in a professional context. When a male colleague does something shitty, I ignore them until they come crawling back. In the past I used to explain what they did wrong, but it never worked out the way I expected it to. Now I just freeze them out. They can't deal with it.

At that age, I was in a relationship and soo in love. My then bf informed me that he was interested in a classmate, and she was interested in him. And whether he could "explore his feelings" with both of us until he figures out who he wants to be with more. I asked for a couple of days to think about it, then told him no. I had convinced myself that he would choose me. He didn't. It hurt like hell but I stood my ground. She's still his forever girlfriend and they have 2 kids now.

Yes to giving a bj, it's great with the right person who goes down on you and enjoys to make you come. I love it in that context. No to being face-fucked. Ever.

It was a fetish for my ex. We were long distance and he would include it in our sexting convo's. "I'm putting a baby inside you, bla bla bla." 🤢 When I told him it was a major turn off for me, and for most women that I knew, he got really sulky. That's not the only reason he's an ex now 😏.

One of the few things my mother refused to tell us was her political views and who she voted for. And she made it very clear that this was because "your dad wouldn't approve and won't let it go." This drove my dad bonkers of course. She's never disclosed this info. Smart woman.

I a sorry you're in this position but it's great that you are making plans for a better future. I came so close to moving to a different country for a lvm when I was 20. Thank God he showed me his true colors before the move and I came to my senses.

I once was told by a male coworker that he liked the energy I bring to meetings. I must admit I was very flattered.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
