Damn, sounds like you did a good job. I'm still at a loss as to how to do this, but it sounds like you've got it down pretty much perfectly (and what you don't have perfected, you recognize).

What's the best way to refuse? Just an "I'm not your servant" type response?

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind.

Wow, thanks for the advice! I probably can't swing beer just yet, but I'll keep all of this in mind. I don't go to sausage fests. :) Actually, four out of the five people that came over that day were chicks. So yeah, that was nice, even if they were just friends. :)

I'll actually say I that I have not stereotyped myself in that manner. Everybody knows about my interests, but it's not really what I'm defined as, if that makes sense.

That's not variety. Hey, I didn't say that's all I do, those are just what I enjoy the most. I will admit that most of my skills are not really related to being out with other people (the other one that comes to mind immediately is cooking).

Change your wardrobe if it sucks. It did, but I'm rebuilding it. T-shirts and jeans that actually fit, a button-down here and there, new shoes, etc. Could probably go for some new shorts and that button-down you mentioned, but I'll need a job before I spend anymore. Try to get away from your drama/art persona because that's fucking poison to most good looking girls at least until later in life. So... don't be myself? I don't like where this is going.

Throw a party in 30 days. You'd be amazed how hard this failed last time. Don't get me wrong, I'll do it again, but it's actually almost funny how badly it went. Fifteen people say they're coming but only five remember to check and see if they're actually free the day of... It was nice to hang out with those five people around the pool for a little while. Pizza was had by all. Now, when you say party, do you mean "procure some alcohol and loud music and get everybody shit-faced" or something a l…

In a way I sort of am, I suppose, but human interaction is one of those things that makes me happy. I haven't done anything that I object to in the pursuit of it. Thanks for the replies!

I kind of expected this answer to be honest, but there is a lot of sense in it. Still, I'd like to be happy during my senior year. College will be better of course, but that doesn't mean I can't try to make high school decent, right?

Ah, I see. Now that you mention it, I see what you're talking about.

If she's hitting on you, doesn't it mean that you can just bypass this approach and go for it? I thought this was for when she doesn't show interest.

I guess it makes sense, when you put it that way. I've never seen anyone do it, though, so it seems kind of alien.

Also, touch. Lower back, upper back, shoulder, arm, hands. Touch everyone, all the time. This is the one I don't get. It seems like decent advice, but I honestly cannot think of a way to make this seem natural and not creepy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
