I know. It totally blows my mind but I had a boss say to me and another female coworker once that “the reason women don’t get paid enough and don’t get better jobs is because they aren’t willing to lie on their resume and in interviews”. Now I don’t think that’s why or anything, but just the fact the he clearly did that blew my mind(he was definitely not qualified to be our supervisor and he knew it). Like it’s so weird how much some people are willing to lie about stuff like that.

That’s amazing! I’ve been to 8 different therapists before I finally found one who takes a scientific approach to not only healing trauma through talk therapy, but healing my nervous system from the trauma through specialized trauma therapy. I also didn’t have healthy relationship examples growing up and unfortunately it does take a lot of work to heal, but it’s worth it and it gets easier after you make it over the initial emotional hump in therapy.

Yeah, the whole “show how masculine you are” mantra is a lie. My husband paints his finger nails because he thinks it’s pretty and likes looking at it and I think that is so sweet and attractive because he’s just him without shame. He’s my best friend, not just my husband and lover.

As a woman, I just wanted to throw in that a man’s personality and sense of humor almost always trump looks for me. Like I won’t pretend that muscles and good grooming of facial hair, etc isn’t attractive. It obviously is the same way men have preferences for women’s looks. But for me and most of the women that I am super close with, looks take a backseat when the guy is genuinely a good funny guy who just makes you happy to be around him. I don’t mean this in a mean way, but maybe try some ther…

I don’t know any women who have a number that high and I’m 32. And even if a woman does have that many partners, I would venture to say that there are just as many guys out there with numbers that high. I think maybe just talking to women in real life and just getting to know them outside of discussions of gender issues is the biggest thing that would help. Just seeing for yourself that women are just as diverse as men in all ways seems to help a lot of men in letting go of generalizations that …

Getting to know all different kinds of women really does seem to be one of the biggest factors in helping men understand why the generalizations are so damaging to us as humans. Both male and female humans. Making sweeping generalizations about any group of people based on something physical about them like skin, hair color, genitalia, etc causes real problems for both groups. With gender, it makes it so that men are lonely because they can’t relate to women and women are hurt because men treat …

I don’t know if this helps at all, but a lot of the men I know who fall in with red pill ideology or just misogyny in general have been super hurt by a woman in their life OR they were so neglected emotionally by the women in their life when they were a kid, that they don’t really have any real experiences with normal women. Their experiences are with women who are as traumatized and all over the place emotionally as they are, or they only see women in porn/movies. But neither of those represent…
