Just like how y’all “won” the house majority and “won” the presidency?

I don’t think anyone’s saying that that’s his only redeeming quality. It’s simply a comment about their sexual attraction about a stranger. It doesn’t imply objectification, ownership, or is even slightly derogatory… it just implies you want them around and jokingly states you would create a made up problem to do that.

I think it means that you want them around because you think they’re hot….

What? It’s a phrase denoting sexual attraction, not objectification or ownership.

Yeah I consider myself pretty liberal but this new trend of treating everyone like non sexual potatoes isn’t what I signed up for.

And it’s only like $40 to get in the front. If you’re willing to fight someone over a seat you should probably check that first…

I’m kind of right there with you. Does changing the name of something take away people’s innate prejudices?

I think having it for most job roles is stupid because the output is exactly the same. You get the same output from a female chef, engineer, clerk, etc as you do a male. Host vs hostess, waiter vs waitress, hunter vs huntress are all redundant and silly by today’s standards….. that said, IMO, actor vs actress might be one of the only gendered word that works because there is a distinct difference between a male and female lead. You wouldn’t want to cast Owen Wilson as Gamora or Scarlett Johansso…

Real question right here

Some context: A lot if women are trying to get the word “Actress” replaced with “Actor” so that there is no longer the connotation or relation to sexism. Whether or not that is working is up in the air.

Fuck the draft. It doesn’t have a place in our nuclear society so why the fuck are we trying to expand it?

I don’t think women should sign up for the draft mainly because I don’t think the draft should exist. There’s no reasonable scenario anymore where America would face a foe of equal power and not get radioactively disintegrated. The only other option at that point is a long an drawn out war against an asymmetric foe like Vietnam in which the draft only serves to decrease the Army’s professionalism with people who DO NOT want to be there.

What kind of fucking sociopath expects their love interest to be able to afford outrageous bills for outrageous purchases at the drop of a hat?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
