You as an adult had sex without a minor who was unable to consent due to being a minor. I get there are nuances but still.

If this were to happen it shouldn’t be done preemptively and rather by a case by case basis for men that have already been convicted or accused of sexual/physical/emotional violence.

I did but then by happenstance met an awesome woman and we are still together. That’s usually how it works, you find the one when you aren’t even looking.

I thank all the men that stopped dating. Makes it a lot easier for those of us that enjoy dating women. The ratio is amazing currently and women that are otherwise out of my league are very attainable.

This woman is receiving death threats over this. This isn’t a hypothetical, it actually happened. So what’s with the “If a woman did it” verbiage? Here a woman did do it and is she being celebrated and portrayed as a victim? The death threats tell us otherwise.

The book in question doesn’t deny any of that and neither have I at any point. Yes, women like sex and men don’t always want sex. Also, dog bites man. It’s not exactly a groundbreaking observation.

I would recommend the Robin Baker book “Sperm Wars” and when you finish reading this it will definitely change your mind about all of this.
/r/MensRights16/05/24 05:38 PM

That’s all true however I must note that the subconscious is actively trying to trick people into “unwanted” pregnancies by “forgetting” to take birth control. Of course women find sex pleasurable and in the wild, oral sex is usually to assess the health of a sexual partner. There is pleasure involved but also evolutionary functionality.
/r/MensRights16/05/24 05:01 PM

Not true at all although there is real biology behind the menstrual cycles of women and varying desires based on where women are in the cycle. This is top shelf advice about women. Also biologically, it makes sense for men to want to have sex often with as many women as possible while for women they need to be more selective because they can only get pregnant every 9 months so they should be very picky and cautious. It’s all evolutionary psychology to which I consider myself an anomaly.

As an asexual man I must ask where all these women that don’t want sex are. But, it’s always perfectly acceptable to leave a relationship for any reason.

It would be unfair to burden the parent with lesser income to be expects to make the same financial contributions, especially if the parent making more isn’t the one doing the lion’s share of being a caregiver. That counts for a lot.

I donated a lot of sperm about 25 years ago and this hasn’t happened to me and I’m assuming my kids are mostly grown with children of their own by now. This is the only case of this I’ve ever heard of and as others in this thread have mentioned it’s not a serious case that won’t end up going in the man’s favour.

Because men earn more income than Women.
/r/MensRights14/05/24 08:54 PM

Well that’s exactly what I am talking about. Instead of recognizing that there is a wage gap with less income for women, you are giving excuses of “working less” and “choosing lower paying jobs”, but women still get paid less irregardless.
/r/MensRights14/05/24 03:32 PM

Men get paid more than Women on average. That’s a fact. People can try to give reasons to justify the wage gap but it doesn’t make the fact untrue. The wage gap exists.

So by my math that means that 55% are real meaning of a woman makes an accusation, it’s probably true. That’s still too high of a number for my comfort however.

I encourage you not to. You still get to see your son and the time will be a higher quality because there will be less of it. You get to be the “fun parent”. If you check out now, you are robbing both yourself and your son of an important relationship and leave him with the inheritance of lifelong trauma and lack of positive male role model. Also, those who commit suicide is what they are most remembered for. The first thing that comes to mind when we think of Robin Williams is not his work as a…

That’s true and may have been co-opted by feminists but men use more lethal means in their suicide attempts like firearms and jumping off bridges. Women are more likely to attempt in overdose and that usually fails.

Consciously humans are having sex for fun. Subconsciously, they are trying to make babies. The body often tricks women into forgetting to take birth control for example.
/r/MensRights09/05/24 06:22 PM
-16

Male infidelity also plays into this. Women needed someone to provide for them so they would get a man for that. Women don’t necessarily want to procreate with their provider, they want their offspring to have biological advantages so the greater good of evolution of our species they find a man with the best traits to procreate. And it’s not just in humans. Read up on Cuckoo birds, which is where we get the whole “Cuck” thing.

The double standards are a past practice for as long as I’ve been alive. This isn’t anything new and is embedded in our culture. Disagree with it all you want but it’s the way it is and it isn’t going to change.

So a teacher and student bone down, both are fine with it, the child’s parents are fine with it, the courts are lenient about it for those reasons but ere supposed to worry that you object to it? Even if you’re right, the rest of the world will continue to be wrong so what’s your actual goal here?
/r/MensRights24/04/24 05:20 PM
-6

Because of the nuances. For example if someone found out their son was boning down with a teacher they’d give him a high 5 and take him out for a steak dinner. If it were their daughter they wouldn’t feel the same. It simply doesn’t negatively effect boys the same ways it does girls as far as being traumatic.

/r/MensRights17/04/24 05:02 PM

To answer these questions, you need only consider that about 10% of men have very high body counts. So they drive the average up. Women have a lower body count because they are having sex with those 10%.

I’ve seen great success with men opening up their feelings to each other. I’m seeing more of it these days and it’s positive.
/r/MensRights13/04/24 11:24 PM

It’s a great observation and sadly true. The positive is identification of the problem. The solution is easy, choose not to be vulnerable when approaching a woman. Be immune to rejection and keep approaching women. Even if you are horrible at it, keep doing it and you’ll get better. It’s a numbers game essentially because we need to acknowledge that women are ultimately the choosers but men have to do the approaching. It seems backwards but that’s just the way it is.

DNA tests aren’t a bad thing. Mandatory DNA tests are because you might as well be calling them “Forced DNA” tests. Forcing medical procedures like a DNA test on someone just seems wrong to me. Of the same token, it’s also wrong to outlaw DNA tests and I do believe with the French legislation that they are no totally banned but rather a judge has to approve of it.

That’s true and we both know it. So the solution is not to have sex with children that COULD be underage. Where I’m from carding for Tobacco is required for anyone that LOOKS under 18 for example. There will never be a satisfying excuse for pedophilia.

I’m talking about legitimate IDs, not fake ones. Accepting a fake ID isn’t a get out of jail free card for tobacco and alcohol sales, why should it be an excuse for rape? Heck, if that were the case we’d see men buying fake IDs for children to literally get away with rape.
/r/MensRights19/10/23 01:07 PM

If only there was a way to verify someone’s age. They should make a card to verify age so this doesn’t happen to any more innocent men.

I read it all. What if the headline read “Man convicted of raping a 16 year old and receives zero jail time”? It would be accurate. So poor thing is suffering the consequences on his own actions and lost his ability to get a job based on a registry list he himself agreed to join. Cry me a River!

If cigarettes or alcohol are sold to someone underage claiming to be of age, that’s on the seller. If the seller claims the child lied about their age, they are still on the hook because he have these things called IDs to verify age. What’s so different about this situation?

You are going to have to get into the “obvious examples” if you want us to understand because I for one have never experienced a nudist colony. The only one you seemed to have mentioned is being discriminate about letting single men in. That’s not just at nudist colonies. Many clubs charge men but not women a cover change, some dating apps do the same thing and for a sex club men need to being a woman or women with them. This is not a benefit to women, this is actually a benefit to the men that …

/r/MensRights22/09/23 09:59 PM

/r/MensRights22/09/23 09:58 PM

That’s the thing. Women has been so conditioned to seek higher status mates they’ve evolved to not accept anything less. There’s zero benefit to women in taking on a lower status man and I don’t believe they should be forced to. Enforced monogamy is a bad idea. Yes, many men will be left without mates but the outcome of that is offspring with superior genetics so it positively effects human evolution to carry on the most desirable and useful genetic makeup.
/r/MensRights22/09/23 07:13 PM
0

Do you have a proposed solution to this? The reason for this situation is there aren’t many women that get paid enough to support a stay at home spouse. Of course there are “exceptions that prove the rule” but usually women that make lots of money would want to be with a man that makes even more then them. There are plenty of men that are supported by their significant others but those are mostly same sex relationships because of the wage gap.
/r/MensRights22/09/23 06:53 PM
0

Men make more money than women. That’s the evidence and it’s publicly available. Now you can try to justify that fact but by doing so you would be justifying the patriarchy, proving the existence of the patriarchy. Making excuses for a wage gap doesn’t change the fact that there is a wage gap.

I didn’t click the link but going by the headline it’s “sexual misconduct” which women are capable of. That’s not rape. It’s not penetrative. And yes, I can move the goalpost if I so desire.

The Patriarchy, and to be fair it really is moving away from that with the wage gap slowly closing due to more women getting degrees and opportunities. There was a time when single women couldn’t rent but that restriction wasn’t applied to men.
/r/MensRights20/09/23 11:25 AM

I’m answering about if there is a patriarchy or not, which is the title of this post. I say there is and give my evidence. In order for there to be a solution we need a problem. The patriarchy existing and the patriarchy being a problem are two different conversations let alone finding a solution of it is determined to be a problem.
/r/MensRights20/09/23 11:21 AM
-11

That’s still a patriarchy. You can explain WHY there is a patriarchy but it doesn’t make it less of a patriarchy. Trying to justify it doesn’t change anything.

For something like forcible, penetrative rape, that’s an issue of toxic masculinity.

I’d love to know the rationale for this law. Edit - went and found out for myself, it’s about strengthening the family unit and is looking out for the children involved(who are innocent but will be the ones to suffer from a negative paternity test)- The French Council of State has described the law's purpose as upholding the "French regime of filiation" and preserving "the peace of families."

Would men have menstrual cycles and everything what goes along with them instead and STILL work more hours?
/r/MensRights19/09/23 10:31 PM

Yes, historically men are better at negotiating salary and work more hours due to lack of menstrual cycles. I think those are obviously two of the reasons.
/r/MensRights19/09/23 09:44 PM

In both of those examples, it’s still the male that is getting paid the money. Both are situations where women are forced to rely on a man’s income. That’s textbook patriarchy!

I’d say there is plenty of evidence that toxic masculinity is real. A recent example is what we learned about Danny Masterson. That guy is certainly emblematic of toxic masculinity.
/r/MensRights19/09/23 05:17 PM

Ultimately women are the choosers. Men aren’t so picky with who they date but women are more discriminate(based on the economy of eggs to sperma ratio). That’s why men should never take rejection personally.
/r/MensRights16/09/23 03:43 PM
1

True and the main distinction is those women don’t consider themselves “victimized by the opposite gender” when they don’t get that financially successful husband. Now when I was a teenager I had read the book “The Millionaire Mind” which re-enforces the concept that “behind every good man is a good woman” and provides evidence for this with married men becoming more successful upon a period of being married then their unmarried counterparts.

DNA evidence has exonerated lots of people including those convicted of murderers. I doubt many women would take that deal. Full immunity and the accused waived rights for a civil trial would lead to more woman rescinding.
/r/MensRights19/08/23 01:55 AM
1

Possibly true but many of these accusations are made in an emotional fit where that type of logic is absent and also many women that rescind their accusations actually were victimized and rescind because they still love the guy. I’ve been locked up and heard other inmates giving advice on how to manipulate women into rescinding their statements. Just food for thought.
/r/MensRights18/08/23 11:00 PM

My whole issue with false accusations is that if we start holding women accountable for them, they are de-incentivized from rescinding their statements and even more innocent men will go to prison and be branded as sex offenders for life. Take a look about how many men are spared prison due to women rescinding their statements…it’s a lot.

Weren’t there Barbies literally doing construction in the film? Also, if being a letter carrier doesn’t qualify as manual labor, what type of labor would it be categorized as?

I have a problem with groups being generalized but most women do not generalize men like that. The ones that do aren’t my problem. Most of my friends are female and many of them do generalize but somehow that doesn’t apply to me. In a world of Kens I guess I’m Alan. 🤷🏼‍♀️

They don’t have to single me out. I know they aren’t talking about me. It’s a very good idea to not label oneself into an identity because you have to defend elements of that identity that may not even be a personal trait.

The question is would a potential employer be able to know that we’re accused of sexual assault? If not you should be ok. Otherwise think about it, who would you rather hire, someone who was never accused of sexual assault or the person that was? Assuming both candidates are qualified for the job why take on a potential liability?

Makes sense. I personally don’t see this as an attack on me because I’m not the type of person to put my entire worth of identity into my gender. Even if men are terrible, I still like me.

I saw it satire not misandry. I wanted the theater experience and that’s what I paid for and I got to support a small local theater with one screen. They mostly show older classic movies but made an exception for Barbie based on consumer demand. I agree with not supporting that which is offensive to my personal values, but this movie isn’t it and based on its success most people don’t find this an attack on their values.

I’d have to agree and I think people aren’t seeing what Ken is supposed to be in the world of Barbie. Quite frankly I doing Mojo Dojo Casa House Ken and Alan to be the most entertaining of the movie. I wish the OP watched until the end and heard the message Barbie told Ken at the end that he can be his own person independent of Barbie. Being superfluous is what Ken is but that’s his own doing by resting his entire self esteem on being noticed by Barbie. In the mind of a child playing with Barbie…

Possibly true with some colleges but the trade off is we have more people with degrees in the workforce. That’s true. Some men can’t take rejection and often demand reasons why the Woman won’t date them. Just move on. Dating for men really is a numbers game. I actually have come to enjoy being rejected and that’s part of the fun. It’s the ol’ Boomhauer method. You always saw him getting beautiful women but you don’t see the work behind it of getting rejected by many women leading to the one that says yes. https://youtu.be/N7FVmeJXwCY

I find the same. Most women don’t return messages but some do and I’m happy to be dating one of them that did. No need to send a second message. If they are into you they will respond to the first. If they don’t respond to the first message they aren’t interested. Keep trying, I was just on the dating app for both validation and to check out the local talent but I accidentally waltzed into something awesome.

Barbie is one of the few movies that promote Women as superior to men. Most other movies portray men as superior to women and usually in a position where they need to save helpless and vulnerable women from various threats. Barbie is an anomaly traditional films. I think Ken or “The Kens” were supposed to be the antagonists of the film so Ken getting his comeuppance is meant to be joyful to the audience. We aren’t supposed to be identifying with Ken because he’s the villain of the film. I think another point to pay attention to is that the Barbie Universe isn’t meant to be realistic, it’s literally the world of plastic toys. By that logic, women could just make something up that didn’t actually happen at all so the logic is greatly flawed.
