What Mamdani described here is an example of intersectionality, no? Men are often frustrated in dating and face many hurdles. But also he is South Asian and South Asian men are often viewed as undesirable. Also he is married now so it worked out for him.

It's been touched on before, but men have a weak in-group bias. We are socialised to seek the approval and validation from women. This is training for when we grow up and are supposed to find one to marry. Out of this is we are encouraged to see other men as competitors instead of as friends. We'd have to dig to find the data, but it the copper IUD is very common in some countries because they last for years. But some countries may not even have accurate statistics. In developed countries hormonal contraceptives seem to be the default.

Well women's hormones have been screwed up since the 1960s. I really would love there to be studies comparing men and women in countries where hormonal pills vs the copper IUD as the main contraceptive. (The Ukrainian men I've encountered recently are on another level. I wonder if the copper IUD is used more there.)

Well if you're hot they'll still have sex with you and accept your simping. I don't believe them. But also hopefully men will learn to avoid these toxic creatures and finally develop the in-group bias that we desperately need. Well, my dad for example, minimizes and dismisses anytime I feel sad or discouraged. Or any time I got seasonal affective disorder he would flat out dismiss it. I don't know how he handled my mother's death but it's been a few years but I certainly haven't recovered and maybe never will. It's always the accusation that being emotional is effeminate. Everything you wrote about men here is false. Capitalism is not men's nature because it has existed only for a few hundred years and is, thankfully, already falling apart. Capitalists promote hierarchy, meritocracy, and power and call them men's nature. All that these things do it alienate men from each other and promote an out-group bias in men. Men end up seeing each other as enemies instead of as brothers and all this leads to frustrated, lonely men, wars, conficts, and worship of women.
