"do some real research and talk to some feminists" I'm sure the feminists in question would enjoy that

Richard Wiseman, Professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology offers this advice in his book "59 seconds". According to a study of 100 speed daters, the most successful strategy was to encourage the other person to talk about themselves but in a quirky way. So questions such as "If you were on Stars in Their Eyes, which celebrity would you be?" and "If you were a pizza topping, what would you be?" were highly rated. Amongst the least successful chat-up lines was: "I have a PhD in computin…

James Bond (I've only seen Craig's films). You might enjoy the early Bond films. Connery's bond is the platonic form of aloofness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iwl33WbVGI

Yeah the thing about being cocky and funny is you appear eager to make an impression. You'll never find people more cocky and funny than stand up comedians but the reason I love watching professional comedians on talk shows is because they take themselves so seriously.

Its legit alright when I saw the graph I remembered a joke on a british tv program 'The Mark Steel Lectures' about Aristotle coming up with this idea at the age of 37. I found the quote above by doing a quick google search http://www.hoocher.com/Philosophy/aristotle.htm I guess it's true what they say , the more things change the more they stay the same. At least now we can claim Aristotle as one of the original redpillars.

Aristotle says that a man should not marry until he is 37 years old, and then marry a woman of only 20 years. a. Aristotle maintains that each would lose their reproductive power and passions at the same time and avoid the quarrels and differences that would arise. b. The union of male and female when too young is bad for creation of children -- in all animals the offspring of the young are small and ill-developed, and generally female. c. "It conduces to temperance not to marry too soon, for wo…

Would these be the Knights you're referring to ? "Hospitaller Knights were still monks, and continued to follow their vows of personal poverty, obedience, and celibacy." http://historymedren.about.com/od/hospitallers/p/hospitallers.htm

I wouldn't be at all suprised if the only real seduction technique going on here involves putting out an article that convinces prospects there are men who are willing to pay 6 G's for this.

"Kezia Noble, she can teach any man how to trick a woman into bed. What’s more, she doesn’t see anything unsisterly in sharing her seduction technique." I just love how this is sensationally hyped as underhanded tricks to manipulate unsuspecting women into bed even though the actual method just comes down to look presentable Don't be needy and some basic body language at the end so you know Kezia is a legitimate "guru".

gotta love the classic textbook alpha body language ,elbows resting on the back of the couch, left foot resting on his right knee all of it taking up as much space as possible, and while the "interview" is nothing but a list of preselected criticisms aimed at Gervais, before they can move in for the kill Ricky's response raises the conversation to a higher level so that the brood are too busy scrambling to look smart enough to keep up. You have to admire Barbara for her pitbull like tenacity tho…

"Feynman initially assumed that if a man bought drinks for a woman, she owed him sex. After these experiences, he assumed that if a man “disrespected” a woman by not buying her anything, she provided him with sex because she was stupid or masochistic. Sadly, in both these cases, he never considered the possibility that a woman’s sexual consent and worth should not be monetized in the first place." The author of that article is full of it ,where does Feynman assume that women who have sex must be…

"Qualities I love about my husband" this reeks of "The Secret" self help movement, sounds like she's trying to have the universe manifest her perfect partner by phrasing her wish list as a positive present tense affirmation. It's quite common among aging lonely women. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIbDgbbfzME

"People don't live, most of you, you don't live, you're just keeping the body alive. That's not life. You're not living until it doesn't matter a tinker's damn to you whether you live or die. At that point you live. When you're ready to lose your life, you live it. But if you're protecting your life, you're dead. If you're sitting up there in the attic and I say to you, "Come on down"! and you say, "Oh no, I've read about people going down stairs. They slip and they break their necks; it's too d…

Like the saying goes no man is an island.I was reminded of this quote by the OP's point that we can't will ourselves to drown out negative thinking with positive thinking just like we can't will ourselves to change our own essential nature with positve thinking.

"if you feel that you could do with some sort of psychological or spiritual improvement, obviously you are the character who’s going to have to bring this about. But if you are the one who needs to be improved, how are you going to accomplish the improvement? You’re in the predicament of trying to lift yourself up off the floor by pulling at your own boot straps, and as you all know, that cannot be done. And if you attempt to do so, you are likely to land with a bang on your fanny and be lower d…

this is also why you should be wary of directly facing someone especially if they are not facing you it telegraphs that this person is your sole focus of attention and you place their value above your own.
