It should be phrased “women exclude suitable men from pool of marriage partners”. Because it’s not that men aren’t suitable, it’s that they simply don’t want the men that are suitable.

The estimated false accusation rate for rape is about 40%. 2-10% are commonly used for accusations that’ve been proven false. But the 40% is what studies have estimated is the real rate.
/r/MensRights27/07/26 05:53 AM

That’s really worrying then, because it means a lot of people think things that aren’t rape are. Another reason why the false accusation rate is so high

As a gay man, I can tell you that there’s tons of bi guys out there who keep their same sex attraction secret. There’s probably just as many men who are bi than are straight. But because male sexuality is seen negatively, they get shamed into hiding.
/r/MensRights23/07/26 09:44 PM

That doesn’t excuse using “gay” as a derogatory term. It’s homophobic and sexist.

It’s because it’s often mothers who are doing the abusing. Them and teachers

We really should enforce this. It’s called hate speech laws and sending them to prison. That way these bigots can’t do harm to society
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/07/26 10:51 PM

It’s the apex fallacy. Not realizing the bottom 30% of society is men, they’re actually punching down.

The horrifying thing is there’s a large amount of women who actually believe this. The wrong and dangerous ideology also gets coddled and supported by society. And the number is growing by the day.

Don’t forget the section that says they’re trying to put more women in political positions. It just screams “we’re consolidating our power”
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/07/26 01:39 PM

Except women got the right to vote at almost the same time that men got the right to vote. So that’s not even a valid point.

And in this case, an additional manslaughter charge should be added as well. And that’s being generous.

It isn’t. The community is quite shallow, and you realize your place very quickly. You also realize most people want you for sex and that’s it, they couldn’t care less about you otherwise

We have our own problems. It’s hard building connections with other men when the culture revolves heavily around hookups, which I’m not a fan of. There’s also the homophobia. But I do thank god I don’t have to deal with hetero dating norms. Just looking at y’all, it’s tough being a straight guy.

I think this might be the Left’s biggest problem these days, but what do we even consider “the Left” anymore? I consider myself a leftist, because I believe in equal rights and opportunity. Feminists consider themselves leftists, but they’re fascist bigots who oppress men. There’s other leftists who are incredibly xenophobic. There’s some that advocate for those that have been discriminated against. There’s others that advocate for terrorism. We’ve gotten to a point where “leftist” could mean pr…

Most feminists are pro-choice for women and anti-choice for men. It’s really a right wing ideology. And it’s shocking how many times I’ve seen women say things like “should’ve kept your legs closed” about men without a hint of irony

It’ll be interesting to see which happens in the case of Ukraine after the war. The only really fair options would be to demand the return of all the women under threat of revoking their citizenship, and then mandating a birth quota for their population under penalty of imprisonment. Or, the entirety of the Ukrainian government and military force responsible for the crimes against men’s rights being tried in The Hague for crimes against humanity and being sentenced to life imprisonment or death.…

It’s going to be a hard fight, but I’d email HR lady’s boss to submit a harassment complaint against both of them. First, the unprofessional outburst from the first one, which counts as verbal abuse, and then the professional harassment from both of them for continuing to hurt his job. Then always keep it to emails so you have written proof of what the company is replying, and bcc a personal email so you have a written record somewhere they can’t scrub it. If you’ve been harassed, have proof you…

Feminism in the UK/EU/AU helps men? That’s news to everyone. Feminism in those countries has gained institutional and legislative power and used it to harm men repeatedly.

At this point let’s just start calling it the “UN entity of destroying men and empowerment of women”.

How do you profit off disaffected men if there are none? Before these people could start grifting, we needed to have years of active discrimination against men, which was caused in no small part by feminism

Recent research actually suggests that people on the right are far more open to other ideas and discussions from people different than themselves, and give more grace and understanding to them than the left does to people who believe similarly to themselves. So your example is that women centuries ago suffered, so it justifies discriminating against men now? That just makes you sexist. Women have access to other forms of birth control other than abortion. And they still have legal forms of “economic abortion” that men don’t. They have safe haven laws, and the ability to opt for legal parental surrender, which men don’t. Sure, pregnancy can be hard. So can being subject to decades of living below the poverty line, and being imprisoned, which men are …

What he’s saying does apply to the US. Women make up a majority of voters. And there are no government policies that disproportionately disadvantage women. Even Roe v Wade being repealed only makes men and women *closer* to equal again, seeing as men don’t have any legal way of relinquishing their parental obligations, but women still have several.

Statistically, in domestic violence cases, if police arrested women automatically, they’d be correctly arresting an abuser more often than if they arrested men. Male on female violence isn’t more prevalent, it just receives police action more often.

Breast cancer receives more funding than all the predominantly male diseases combined. If women really want endometriosis to receive funding, they should go after breast cancer research.

Unfortunately this would never happen. During the pandemic a lot of students fell behind. And girls fell the worst, because in many cases they lost their female privilege in grading. I think sex segregated schools is the way to go, as long as both systems are given the same access to funding, facilities, and resources

All of these are emotional, because they certainly aren’t based in reality. They’re angry at a fictional oppression none of them have faced. In order to free and help women, we really need to eliminate feminism.

I got the opposite end, being the younger sibling I got whatever was left over if there was any. My sister got anything she wanted, and would complain about me every chance she got. As an aside, since I was also the only grandson, I’ve been getting told basically since birth about my future wife and kids and about how I have to carry on the family name. Jokes on them, they don’t know I’m gay, so it’s not going to happen.

Men’s rights have been repeatedly violated under the guise of “the security of the country’s future”. If that was really true, it would only be equal to recall all the women who left the country and have them become child factories. And again, under the same penalty men face, if they don’t return, have them lose their citizenship and face criminal charges. You hear feminists whine about “Handmaid’s Tale” being their reality, but it’s a dystopian fantasy that would never happen. The irony being, …

This is why when people make false accusations, they need to face actual consequences. They need to post her name, and they need to punish her by making her give the settlement to those players, and give her jail time equivalent to what the five of them would’ve served.

A lot of what I’ve heard women say is emotional labour is really just being an adult, like figuring out what to make for dinner or scheduling appointments. I’ve never actually heard a woman think of emotional labour as managing their partner’s feelings. And if anyone thinks about it for more than a second, they’d realize it’s because that would mean in most relationships men perform the vast majority of emotional labour.

Unfortunately I don’t think this will ever really be solved, for two reasons. The first, is that women gain power through victimhood, so they will cling to it like their life depends on it. And that means making men the “oppressors”. The second, is that society needs men to do all the grunt work that actually keeps society running. Men will always be first on the front lines, or fixing what’s broken, or building what’s new. Without men fulfilling all the labour, society would crumble. So we’re n…

For some, it’s about power. No groups gain power by discriminating against people with brown eyes. But women gain significant power by demonizing men. For others, it’s mental illness. They’re either so delusional they can’t perceive reality anymore, or they’ve been brainwashed into the cult.

20-80% is a ridiculous category. Anyone who’s ever represented or categorized data should shudder. Breaking it down by 10% increments might not be the best, but it certainly shows how much worse the problem is.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/05/26 09:48 PM

Nah. Let them suffer the consequences. They’ll have more important things to worry about when they’re in prison or facing bankruptcy. If they’re going to be bigots and spread their misandry either way, at least we can make them accountable for their actions.

It isn’t at all. Hate speech is absolutely criminal behaviour. You’d be saying the entirety of the western world consists of fascist authoritarian countries, and that the entirety of the political left is also fascist and authoritarian.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/05/26 06:09 PM
11

How is it fascist or authoritarian to simply enforce the laws we already have on people who willfully break them?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/05/26 01:21 PM
37

This won’t change until we actually start enforcing hate speech laws on women. And not minimum penalties, but massive fines and jail time. Go to a feminist rally and round up all the people holding signs and yelling slogans that are hate speech.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/26 09:34 PM

They’ve managed to redefine the word incel to now mean someone with self respect, or someone who hold women accountable for the things they say and do. Everyone should try to be as much an incel as possible, which is quite the turn around from the insult it used to be.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/26 01:00 PM
20

I think part of it is a defence mechanism. They’re already on the outside trying to come in from other women, so they overcompensate on the misandry as a show to other women for “I’m just like you!” appeal.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/05/26 02:17 PM
40

I think another part of it is that so many people have accepted revisionist history that removes our contributions to the movement as fact. The whole “trans POC started the movement” is factually wrong. Not only did riots start with cis white gay men and lesbians, but they also put in decades of activism before that moment that gets completely ignored. Feminism is rampant in the community, but I’ve received more homophobia from those same people than men. I’ve been banned from r/gay because I’m …

These aren’t root problems, they’re symptoms. Your observations come after a decade of being discriminated against in a system built for girls. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy
/r/MensRights29/04/26 01:19 PM
12

Personally I wouldn’t even engage in their point. I would go with something like this: Men don’t report to the police being abused by women because of the feminist Duluth model, which has indoctrinated the legal system into believing men are perpetrators and women are victims. In fact, in most cases men who are victims of domestic violence are more likely to be arrested than to be believed when they report their abuse.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/04/26 06:52 PM
14

Come informed of the facts. Not just real ones, but also the ones they’ll use that are misleading and manipulated. Turn the things they say against them by pointing out where they went wrong with how they got to their conclusions. Do not argue within their framework (like patriarchy theory), reject it entirely. Arrive with concrete examples that they can’t ignore or misinterpret.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/04/26 06:43 PM

A long form cult-like indoctrination system to brainwash women with feminist ideology. That’s how you get women who think like her. And unfortunately it’s sunk its teeth into a large number of women.

Well there’s two things to consider. First, we don’t condemn single moms for being single moms, we do it because they’re usually tearing the child away from an equally loving father and him having no recourse to get equal custody. And second, studies have actually shown children in single father households fare significantly better than those in single mother households.

A recent study showed women under 25 responded that 35% of them have a favourable view of men. If two thirds of women can’t even think that men are good, then society has a very ingrained problem with misandry. It is a pervasive mental illness that has infected far too many people.

We also need to acknowledge power dynamics. Women gain power from being seen as victims, and men lose power from the same thing. Society has been so conditioned into believing men can’t be victims. In fact, if a man reports the abuse, assault or rape he suffers, he’s more likely to be sent to prison than to be believed. We live in a gynocracy. It’s about hypocrisy and practising what you preach. Someone with incredible levels of privilege talking about how they’re oppressed, to the people they’re oppressing, comes off as either ignorant at best or malicious at worst. Unfortunately it seems like the source was deleted, and the comment that provided it was as well. Here’s a link on how victimization rates are about the same, on top of mentioning how male victimization numbers are suppressed. There’s also this link for how both men and women report being victims of female abusers more often.

Society in general has progressed technologically, economically, socially. But it has drastically improved for some people, and marginally improved for others. For men, it’s hard to feel like things keep improving when you see so much more work being done for every other demographic.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/02/26 07:40 AM

Men have a higher death rate across all methods. What the actual reason for “women attempt more” is: they don’t. Most statistics will include non-suicidal self harm behaviours when counting women. So many, many behaviours that aren’t suicide get lumped in to show the results that women are bigger victims when they aren’t.
/r/MensRights12/02/26 09:22 PM
5

I think the first step is actually to count the work men do at home. Most domestic labour statistics only count labour that is traditionally done by women. When you actually count all domestic labour, it’s close to even. Then account for the fact that men on average work an extra 7 hours a week at work, and you see men perform much more labour than women.
/r/MensRights08/02/26 06:12 AM

That’s still apples to watermelons. Standing still on anti-fatigue mats is wildly different than destroying your body moving heavy stuff all day long
/r/MensRights07/02/26 09:19 PM

That also doesn’t consider that for non-accidental deaths for men under 50, suicide is the leading cause of death. That’s absolutely a form of misandry, and one that kills all the time.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/02/26 07:01 PM

Every retail place I’ve worked in had the manual labour done by men, not women. Loading/unloading trucks and moving of larger boxes, all the warehouse jobs, were men. There were lots of women working, just the jobs that were less physically demanding like cashiers or stocking.

The book was written by a straight woman, and the show follows the book. You can point to the director being gay all you want, but you can still see the heavy influence of this show being for straight women
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/02/26 04:59 AM

I’m guessing it’s a lot of all of that, mixed with some misandry and wanting to see men get dominated. It’s a form of power fantasy
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/02/26 03:30 PM
15

I feel the same way. Using Heated Rivalry as an example, you can tell it was written by a straight woman. The book is far worse than the show, but you can still tell the show isn’t written by or for gay men. It’s mediocre gay porn for straight women, and in lots of the scenes you can clearly tell that one of them is basically just “a woman” but substituted with a man.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/02/26 02:48 PM

Yup. So many people prefer to blame men rather than tackle or even acknowledge the root causes. Honestly even having people admit that misandry exists and is systemic would go a long way to alleviate the problem.

In all fairness, Quebec is a special case that just wants to preserve its own culture, and Alberta is a recent phenomenon because the Conservative Party got taken over by MAGA idiots. It also completely ignores that female abusers kill their male partners all the time. Let’s not pretend that the male suicide rate being four times higher shouldn’t qualify as murder in lots of cases.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/01/26 11:46 PM

Because several things are true. One, a male domestic violence victim is more likely to be arrested than to be believed. Two, male victims are the most unreported crimes across the board. Three, since half of all domestic violence is bilateral, men getting arrested even if both were abusing each other skews the stats.

We’re not. We’re downvoting stupidity. Intimacy is more than just sex. You can say no to sex. But if you’re withdrawing all forms of intimacy and physical touch, you are neglecting your partner. You can’t reason someone out of a mentality they didn’t use reason to get themselves into. They don’t care about facts, nothing you can say will change their minds. There’s a recent story in my city, a guy is suing the police and his workplace (child and family services) because of their gross negligence in how they handled in accusation. Then after the charges were stayed, his workplace tried to add him to the sex offender registry. So it really does take multiple levels of failures to really get those false accusations to…

Take education. Having a college education doesn’t give you power or privilege over others. It’s something that 1. You had to work hard for and 2. Is very expensive and time consuming. If your position is that people who had the opportunity to get that education is a privilege, then that should be categorized under wealth if they had it paid for them. And if they didn’t get it paid for them, odds are they took on substantial debt, which isn’t a privilege.

I think many of us live in a gynocentric matriarchy. Gynocentric? Just look at shelters for abuse victims. Any time you see one for men pop up, women shut it down. I was essentially going to write something like this comment. The first step in making actual improvements to society is to get people to acknowledge that there are problems, and actually want to do something about them. And the biggest problem with feminism is that they benefit from people not caring about men. So even if it takes forever, we still have to get people to see that feminism is a form of oppression, and the “kill all men” people are evil.

I think the easiest solution is to make birth certificates dual purpose. Have the parents listed, for heredity’s sake. And then underneath have both parents sign to take legal custody and responsibility for the child. Any parent who doesn’t sign has no legal rights or responsibilities to the child.

Sometimes it’s regrets. Sometimes it’s malicious. The case I wrote my paper on was about an instance where she revoked consent 3 months later, during a custody battle for their children. And yet, he still got convicted.

It used to be that false accusations were estimated to be up to 40% of all accusations. Now with this nonsense, it’s rising to the point where there’s more false allegations than real ones. This has been happening forever. Hell, I literally wrote a paper for my legal ethics class in university about retroactive withdrawal of consent and how it gets used to assault and harass men.

As a gay man, I’ll say that while the most physically violent homophobia I’ve experienced has been from men, women in general are far more homophobic and nasty about it. When they think you’re friends or on their side, it’s often said in snide and offensive comments that they pretend is no big deal. When they realize you’re not someone who takes their nonsense, it becomes overt and far more hurtful and isolating. There is an issue with cloning genetically, you’d end up either slowly mutating the genes into not working anymore to the point you can’t produce viable clones, or some form of disease or virus will wipe out essentially everyone because their genes have stopped adapting. The only way you’d be able to avoid these is to start splicing genes of multiple people during the cloning process, and we don’t have that technology yet to do it properly.

Or maybe I just have common sense and a reasonable understanding of human behaviour. Or if you claim you’re not uneducated, that points to you just being evil. I disagree. Whether or not they admit it, women need men. Their lives are made easier by men, and women largely depend on the labour of men. People are angry at men who won’t denigrate or compromise themselves for others. Emotional labour is another one that gets overused. /r/MensRights25/04/25 05:22 PM

That’s honestly one of the things that can be homophobic though. “Women love gay men” often translates to women tokenizing or trivializing gay men by treating them like accessories instead of people. Ever notice bachelorette parties love going to gay clubs? Well I’ll tell you the consensus among most gay guys, we hate them. They’re homophobic and they invade our spaces.
/r/MensRights25/04/25 05:06 PM

Personal experience as a gay man, there’s a small population of men (typically right wing) that are heavily invested in their masculinity that will be outwardly homophobic. But I’ve met far more average women who’ve been homophobic, and it’ll almost always be in much subtler ways. On average, I’ve met more homophobic women than men, they just don’t display it as openly.

I think your first point is the biggest. Showing any vulnerability or asking for help usually makes the situation worse because they end up getting punished or hurt. It leads to severe trust issues, and it’s not something you can easily break someone out of. It takes lots of time and actually caring about and validating their feelings.
/r/MensRights12/04/25 02:05 AM
4

Agreed, but part of the problem is that those people who actively push men away and see them as the problem make up a sizeable portion of “the left”. Changing their minds won’t happen, because those same people also have social power when they maintain those ideals. So you’re left with either completely separating “the left” into two completely different camps, which is easier said than done, or you have to actively fight against them, in which case you end up getting labeled right wing anyways.
/r/MensRights12/04/25 01:53 AM

/r/MensRights11/04/25 11:09 PM

Because the right wing is inherently hostile to LGBTQ people. It’s kind of why being a gay guy feels weird because I have progressive and egalitarian views that are simultaneously too left for the right and too right for the left. So we end up in a weird limbo where everyone hates us for not being enough like them in different ways.

Ironically I think the only way to get people to care about starting men’s shelters is to highlight how it’ll benefit women, no matter how stupid and sexist that is. If men had actual shelters to go to, the rate of domestic violence against women would go down because men will no longer have to defend themselves and can seek shelter.

It’s a general phenomenon I hate in the media, and there’s been lots of studies pointing to it being intentional. Certain words are used to influence perceptions to either be more forgiving or more condemning. Like using the words “hit” vs “crash” for a vehicle collision, people hearing the latter assume a much larger impact at a higher speed because of how it’s phrased. For offences like what we’re talking about, you always see words like “forcibly”, “rape” or “molested” when describing male pe…

Then since bad feminists are welcome as feminists, why would we not see feminism in general as bad? Even if they’re not a monolith, they still choose to share the same umbrella. You are the company you keep.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates09/02/25 12:16 AM

Isn’t that basically the no true Scotsman fallacy? Claiming X or Y isn’t “feminism” because they’re bad actors excuses the fact that much of the movement is made up of the bad actors. At what point do we blame a movement for what most of their adherents are responsible for?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/02/25 11:45 PM

But you have to admit that feminism does have as a goal to maintain the structures that benefit women and punish men, while also removing those that do the opposite. Feminism is sexism, being put into a social movement. It’s not the only thing to be concerned about, but it’s still a pick point on the list.

It looks like the link is broken as far as I can tell. Since I can’t tell from the post or the link, what are you using to define as “queer”? 90% of the time I’ve seen a woman use “weaponized incompetence” to describe a man, she’s just describing him doing a task correctly, but not her way. At that point, she’s putting unnecessary stress on herself and the relationship, as well as wasting his time.

I also think that the whole “emotional labour” argument also ignores that women think they manage the majority of the household and family, but if you look at most relationships it’s split. Even just managing a partner, if there’s a “rock” and a “person clinging to it”, you usually see the man as the emotionally stable one. Every study that measures how much work a couple does “in the home” always asks about solely household tasks that are female-coded, and completely ignores those that are male…

I think this is a perspective you need to change about yourself. What you call “whataboutism”, “bad faith actors” or “derailing”, we call advocacy. We’re not derailing conversations when we point out actual facts and statistics. We’re not using whataboutisms, we’re contributing to relevant conversations to spread awareness of huge societal problems that affect us that people refuse to acknowledge. And the biggest part of advocacy is spreading the message to people who aren’t aware of the problem…

I think this is the biggest issue. In order to be capable of cooperating with feminists, they would have to change so much about themselves that they would be completely unrecognizable from feminism as it is. Honestly it’s probably the fact that women should fear sex toys. If you take away sex, there isn’t really much of a reason for most men to put up with women. Except when you step back and consider that a lot of those “biological factors” are influenced by social factors. Men work longer hours, in more physically demanding jobs, and in more dangerous jobs. I think the reason people are so reticent to name our discussions as “gender studies” is because men have been systemically excluded from gender studies as a field. I took a class when I was in university a few years ago and 95% of the class was focused on women, with the other 5% focused on trans individuals. Men have been so far removed from the topic that it simply doesn’t seem like people care about their problems or the fact that men exist and are affected as a gender by society.

It’s the same story for abuse shelters, homeless shelters, support groups, advocacy groups…. Any time someone tries to help men, it tends to get shut down by feminists.

Do men not have a right to defend themselves? Must they just submit to and accept any violence that comes their way? This issue not only relates to hyperagency that people attribute to men, but also that people and media always tend to portray men in the worst light. And they excuse, exclude, ignore, or try to justify women’s behaviour even when they’re both the instigator and in the wrong.

To be fair, I read this article over a week ago on gay subs, so the LGBTQ community is talking about it

Yeah, the age of consent in India is 16. With the fact he’s 15, she should’ve been charged immediately

Not only that, but your female friends also would slowly start to ostracize you. And it happens so gradually that you don’t even notice they’ve stopped inviting you to things.

Women make on average 80% of purchases in a household. So yes, women be shopping. It’s not sexist to literally just state facts.

Pretty much this. In the majority of cases, a man has everything to lose, and a woman has everything to gain.

It’s the conflict that seems to short circuit their brains. You can be both pro-women and anti-feminist. And a lot of people don’t understand that.

Sexual assault is the term for this.

Or any humour that involves men getting hurt. A woman getting raped in a movie is tragic. Men getting raped is a joke you add a laugh track to. It really does show how absolutely little people care about the general wellbeing of men.

Document everything you can, then get a lawyer and file a restraining order with him having custody of the kids. Then go through the divorce.

Yup. Go to any college or university LGBT community group or club. You’ll be hard pressed to find a single cis white gay man. Even trans men are hard to find. Most of the group will be either lesbians, or often feminine presenting nonbinary or trans women. And they form a very tight clique. Any man or male presenting person is usually met with suspicion and hostility.

You can’t discriminate due to gender. “Discount for women” means “man tax”. It’s actually a crime

There’s a reason “family annihilator” tends to be used for men, and “angel of mercy” for women in these cases. It’s called sexism.

Preface to say I’m not arguing at all with the rule, I think it makes sense. As a completely aside point, I’ve never heard this be true for any other sub where the admins asked (threaten) to contain posts to here. Even to the point where I’ve caught instances of brigading from other subs and it seems fine as long as it’s from a sub of a “certain position” on gender issues. A rule against brigading should be applied equally, but it seems to be very pointed towards subs that discuss men’s fight fo…

It’s because “patriarchy” is a catchall term for anything women perceive as male coded, regardless of if it actually exists or does anything. If “women strong”, they want something to be strong against, no matter how ridiculous

Ironically, I saw this case in r/news. And when I commented on the fact that he was doxxed, harassed and stalked by these women, I got a lot of angry women downvoting and yelling at me. And then I was permanently banned for trying to defend the guy. Can’t even try to defend yourself if you’re a man.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
