It's a tragedy she's only a judge on TV. We need actual moral, lawful judges in our courts.

I totally agree, and think that every time (as is on the front page now) there's a study of two actors, and when the man is beating the woman in public, everyone jumps to her aid, but when the man is getting abused, NOBODY helps him. I probably wouldn't help anyone, especially a man, because I'd fear the infinitely more powerful might of a woman to simply say we BOTH sexually assaulted her, and have us both thrown in prison, no questions asked. Yes, it's unlikely I'd help a fellow man if he were…

Be sure to send a copy of that letter, via registered mail, to your local, and provincial (sorry, from the USA, not sure how your representatives work up there) politicians, as well as every newspaper you can find, and be sure to mention in your letter to your school that you have done so. This will prevent them from brushing your comments under the rug, and hold them accountable. Best of luck

After seeing two of my friends get racked over the coals this year, and going through some of the worst hell I could have imagined, walking away with literally nothing, I can't imagine what man in his right mind would want to get married... what benefits are there?!! Maybe getting a spouse's insurance? MILD tax breaks?!

I didn't think you were attacking "my" cause, just adding a case of something bad that's done to men. The beginnings of it are debated, but I think that America's adoption of it is traced back to religious nutjobs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumcision_controversies "Circumcision spread in several English-speaking nations from the late 19th century, with the introduction of anesthesia and antisepsis rapidly expanding surgical practice.[6] Doctors such as Sir Jonathan Hutchinson in England wr…

Historical examples? How about a modern one; most men In America are circumcised, a practice created to remove the nerves that give pleasure in the penis, leave the head a dry, scarred husk (it should be moist and supple with foreskin protecting it), so that they're less likely to fall into the sin of masturbation.

That's better than putting all the costs on a single person who was betrayed, and doesn't deserve to have that burden placed on them. The courts wouldn't want child support to go away or be equitable, because they make (re: destroy, since they didn't actually create anything of value, only redistributed wealth, while taking administrative costs) tons of money from enforcing child support, from court fees, possibly incarceration, etc.
/r/MensRights05/08/13 02:16 PM

Yeah, I agree, that's why alimony is BS... I agree with child support, and would pay as much as I could, as my only concrete goal in life is to be a great dad (please don't search my other posts! hahaha), but if I'm not in a relationship with someone (or even if I am), I shouldn't be forced to support them in any way, much less with a gun to my head and the court's finger on the trigger... ESPECIALLY if the kid isn't mine. That is absolutely the worst betrayal a man can suffer, and I don't even …

Good for you! I think that immunity only protects from criminal charges, not civil damages... and the burden of proof for civil cases is 51%, putting you at a large advantage :) Also, just because they have immunity doesn't mean that they won't have to pay their attourney(s) $$$$$$$$ to prove that they should have been immune... it might just be more financially practical for them to pay you instead of their lawyers

As opposed to what, supernatural? WTF do people even really mean when they say something isn't natural? I think people incorrectly use the term to mean either "something I don't understand (GMOs)" or "something I disagree with (abortion). NOTHING is unnatural... you can't break the laws of physics. The most common form of contraception for humans, historically, is infanticide, which I think we can both agree with is waaaaaaaay worse, morally, than abortion. also- women don't get pregnant every time they have sex (you chances of getting pregnant from a month of daily sex are only 25%), so not all of sex is reproductive... you're testing a man's skill (largely determined by the number of women he's mated with, therefore passing whatever tests they each had set out for him, thereby giving you info he's generally attractive/valuable). This also allows women to sleep with multiple men (including those whose genetics would, frankly be out of their league…

Eh, people generally date/fuck people that are genetically similar to them (evolutionary psychology caveat- makes cuckolding easier), so it's likely she picked another guy of similar race/build. Children are inarguably less valuable than adults; if they die, only their family will suffer, and mostly emotionally, they won't have a loss of income or anything from losing a child. On the other hand, a family that loses a parent loses protection, care, and an income. Everyone in that adult's life can be negatively affected by the loss as well, in whatever ways you want to imagine. Adults have more value to everyone around them than kids do.
/r/MensRights28/07/12 02:10 AM

Yeah, because you know the exact radius of the chaos; how many shooters there were, where they were, and that they didn't have any plans for the rest of the city. For all you know, there could have been a band of people waiting outside to shoot everyone that was fleeing, and you somehow dodged them.
/r/MensRights28/07/12 02:08 AM

And I'd slap the shit out of someone so worthless that they needed to be saved; they should have been running, not endangering the rest of their family begging for protection. Have some personal accountability.
/r/MensRights28/07/12 02:06 AM

Not at the cost of their own lives. What's more valuable to a species, a fully grown adult, capable of reproducing, or a weak, undeveloped baby incapable of even surviving on it's own, much less reproducing? Obviously the former, and evolution will have shaped animal behavior to risk a lot for their offspring, but there's a limit, namely their own lives. Babies can be replaced in a few months; it takes years for many species to grow into adulthood.

Bad ass. I've got a worse (but second-hand story) from when I got my CCW. My instructor said he knew a man who saw a woman being mercilously beaten with a wine bottle (which broke, and he was pressing up to her throat), and was SCREAMING for help. Poor guy came to the woman's aid, thinking she was about to be murdered, and shot the motherfucker. Sorry for misreading what you said. I still disagree, though, because there has been research regarding the perfect body (for sexual reproduction, not as a sign of a wealthy, indulgent life, like aristocrats had). There are definitely optimal numbers; a 0.7:1 waist:hip ratio is universally considered more attractive. Large breasts are also universally considered more attractive, although there are cultural preferences for shape. I'm pretty sure you could break down every aspect of the human body…

Totally agree! Although I think there must be some regional differences. I was just lamenting with a friend about how seemingly most of the women in Chicago are attractive, nice, and actually have paying jobs. Yeah, that's a little old for me. I pretty much want to die after going on 40-60 dates with girls in their mid 20s over the past 2 years.

Maybe once they hit 40 or 50, which is depressing, because they're obviously not datable to an un-wed, childless man like myself. Sigh. Just can't have a reasonable AND attractive woman.

And there absolutely is a value judgement implied by statement like "boys mature at a slower rate." I agree that our female-centric education system can treat boys poorly, although I can't remember experiencing any of this growing up.
/r/MensRights27/03/12 03:30 PM
1

You're not understanding my point. Everything on earth matures at the same rate, one second at a time, and to say one is immature because it changes some aspect of itself at a different rate than another is erroneous. I think it would be somewhat fair, however, to compare two like things against each other, such as two young boys, two young girls, or two anything elses. Then you'd actually be able to say, ok, this one is taller, so concerning height, the other one is maturing slower. This is sti…

I said that I personally want a spouse to be home with the kids, as I believe that's more important than having two breadwinners. I never said anything negative about either sex, only explained what I believe to be the reason behind the statement "girls do better in school" because I believe it implies men are worse. My comment about unequally difficult school and career paths only concerns difficulty, not content. I do believe that science classes are generally much more challenging than other …

They're not mutually exclusive, and I would argue being cultured comes from a wide variety of life experiences more than it does from an art history degree.
/r/MensRights27/03/12 05:10 AM

Also, your statement that boys mature later physically is incorrect; a more accurate statement would be "boys reach their maximum adult height later," which doesn't imply any developmental delay. If you don't accept that, then I would counter argue that women's development is permanently delayed because they generally don't reach the same height as a man. That's equally incorrect.

Should a 15 year old girl be at least a little interested finding a long term mate at that age? Probably, as she's sexually mature, and ready to reproduce. It would be inappropriate for a boy to do that, as he's only possibly sexually developed at that age, so he's off doing whatever activity you want to make up that 15 year old boys do, because that's what his sex should be doing at that age. Because the sexes have different goals at the same age, dictated by their sex's biology, does not make …

I think it's fine women often choose a less strenuous education because of the expectations of parenting; I would, too, and I want a spouse who is like that. Saying girls do better in school (and thus implying they're smarter), when their course load is generally easier is comparing apples and oranges.
/r/MensRights27/03/12 02:56 AM

Yeah, but what did they go to college for? I'm not saying women's choices in careers are inappropriate at all, I think one parent should be home with the kids, and it's generally the female, and I wouldn't invest a lot in education if that were my expected life path either. I just look at that statement of "females generally do better in school" to be akin to the statement "women only make 75 cents for every dollar men make." Women make less because they choose less lucrative careers, expecting …

Mature later? Sexually, yes, but I don't see any evidence supporting anything else. Being docile and submissive in class doesn't mean you're mature; it means you're afraid to take risks. Appropriate risk taking is absolutely a mature, adult behavior. Edit: forget what I even said about sexual maturity differences, it's more accurate to say "develop sexually later" because each sex has different developmental norms, and can't be compared to each other.

you don't seem to understand what I'm saying. During a divorce, the bread winner, having earned all the money, has to pay for both lawyers. The same would be true for those fines; they'll be paid out of a joint account that one party probably didn't contribute much to. Definitely a step in the right direction, but probably not the desired outcome.
/r/MensRights15/03/12 01:41 AM

I like the idea of this, but unfortunately, the bread winner of the relationship will be the one paying it, no matter who makes the allegation. The payment should go to the damaged party, NOT the state.

Agreed. This isn't about paternity/child support, this is about a woman using her body as a weapon of extortion against men. She might pull this shit on every guy she fucks, knowing she can get at least 1/2 ($250) the cost of an abortion out of them a month later. It's like delayed-payment, extremely expensive prostitution!
/r/MensRights26/12/11 08:19 PM

I disagree. I, being a male, cannot get pregnant, and have no reproductive rights anyways, so that puts the ball entirely in the woman's court. This obviously isn't the opinion of the courts, which give women all the rights, and men all of the burdens.

He (presumably)doesn't. I thought it'd be funny to play the same game with her, lying about the outcome of a 1 night stand in order to fuck with your partner. I don't actually advise this, but she deserves something along these lines if he can't press criminal charges.

Oh, I agree about the making sure it was done part! He offered to go with her because he's a nice guy (or whatever), but she declined. The assumption of extortion is this: 1).in hindsight, the conception date doesn't even come close to the date he had sex with her; he was out of town in another state that entire week. 2).She blew him off when he offered to go with her. 3).She's now claiming to still be pregnant after getting a mechanical abortion, which in my opinion, is to make him REALLY sweat…

Most likely, as it's so hard to collect on debts in America, but I think this definitely falls under the category of criminal extortion, and should be punished as such.

I'm gonna tell you the same thing I would tell a woman; fuck your significant other when they want it. Sex takes 5 freaking minutes, and you should be ready to go unless you're in a fully body cast. You both have needs, and unless you're cheating, they're only able to be fulfilled by your partner.

From speaking with a high-priced divorce lawyer at a bar, she says prenups are only as solid as the person who wrote them... and a lawyer who could actually protect you would cost about $30,000. Primary goal: to perpetuate myself Secondary goal: the pleasure of raising them (I have negative interest in raising other men's children). oh, I EXPECT to be screwed, but I figure the screwing couldn't possibly be as bad as a divorce (with alimony). I agree with you mostly on the "whatever guy is around can raise them adequately" comments, I believe that's how humans probably evolved... Parents would stay together until the kids were old enough to walk and talk.
